Kick Ass Wrestling
Live from the WLMT-TV 30 Studios
7/8/1992
1 am
Memphis, Tennessee
The Kick Ass Wrestling logo explodes onto the screen while some generic, cheesy music plays. As that all goes away, we are inside a television studio with ...
WAIT A SECOND! THAT AIN'T ... COREY MACLIN! IT'S THE FREAKING MIDGET!
NOT Corey Maclin: "Hello wrestling fans, Corey Maclin here we've got a lot to get to today with a full show but first THIS special announcement!"
Hold the phone! Here comes the REAL Corey Maclin!
Corey Maclin: "Now hold on one second!"
The midget smiles at Maclin and steps to the side.
Corey Maclin: "I don't know what's going on here but ...
The midget holds a finger up before fishing a hand into his suit jacket, pulling out a sheet of paper he holds out to Maclin. With a "hrumph", Maclin pulls it away and opens the sheet and reads it.
Corey Maclin: "This special notice is to inform ... our fans that beginning this evening ... KAW GOES TO ONE HOUR IN LENGTH! OH, COME ON!"
Maclin throws the paper down on the floor!
Corey Maclin: "It is bad enough I have to be here on a Sunday morning before church ... It isn't enough that you people try to make me say Kick Rasslin' every week, you can't be pleased with having a midget impersonating me ... A MIDGET! Now, you have to make this show an hour long?!?!
With a shake of his head, Maclin throws down his mic wih a loud thud and storms off the studio set! With him gone, the camera swings back to the grinning midget!
The Midget: "We'll be right back after these messages!"
We go to break with a slomo of the angry Corey throwing down the mic and storming off!

We come back and Ring Announcer David Jett is in for Corey Maclin!
David Jett: "Ladies and gentlemen, Corey Maclin has left the building. For those of you who don't know me, I'm David Jett, filling in at the moment. We've got a full hour of wrestling action tonight, starting off with our first match of the KAW Tag Team Tournament as the Tennessee Volunteers take on Tony Falk's FALK U! Grads."
Tennessee Volunteers versus The Falk U! Grads w/Tony Falk
We've got a rematch from three weeks ago in which the Grads pulled off the upset thanks to a little distraction from Todd Morton and the Vols are looking for revenge. Jett plays up the first encounter with the Grads having "no right" to win the previous match. The Vols jump all over their opponents but Falk has his guys ready, willing and able for this one with the chance to move on at stack. Evenly matched in the early going but the Vols with the experience and some shortcuts find themselves in the driver's seat with a double team effort to put Kevin Kanady away. They go about 8 minutes here with non-stop action!
Following the win, the victors sweep up their NOT the KAW Tag belts and pass by Jett on the way to the back.
Steve Doll: "Two more, baby, two more!"
We head into a quick commercial break with the Vols hitting a double dropkick on Scotty Taylor in slow motion.

We come back and David Jett has been joined by The Turtle and a familiar face to the Memphis area ... it's the "Boy from New York City", The Boogie Woogie Man, Jimmy Valiant!
David Jett: "Last week Turtle, you were manhandled by the MONSTER Big Sid ..."
The Turtle: "That's right, dude. That wasn't cool."
David Jett: "And how does that involve The Boogie Woogie Man?"
TheTurtle: "I got on the phone and called my head dude. I need to fight fire with fire!"
Jimmy Valiant: "Tha's right David Jett ... when my street people call needing a hand, The Boogie Woogie Man comes running! This here Turtle ..."
Valiant stops to give The Turtle a kiss on the top of his head!
Jimmy Valiant: "He needs a hand with this Big Sid and tha's exactly what I'm gonna do! Big Sid July 28th, I'm coming back to Memphis, Tennessee for you! Wooo ... Have mercy!"
David Jett: "Let's go to the ring!"
Jimmy Valiant w/The Turtle versus Chris Frazier
Lots of stalling and Jimmy antics to start the match and Chirs Frazier wanting none of his opponent while on the outside The Turtle works hard to get the fans into things. The actual wrestling part is Jimmy looking to throw some punches before knocking Frazier silly, then whipping him across the ring and on the return catching him in a sleeper. Thankfully, that's all she wrote after nearly seven and a half minutes of "action" and I use the term loosely.
We head into the break with Valiant catching Frazier in a sleeper hold.

We come back from the break and David Jett hypes up the show on the 28th with tickets now on sale as well as the KAW Heavyweight and Tag Team Titles on the line, the participants of those matches to be determined in the coming weeks!
We've got a blast from the Memphis past with a return of ...
SCOTTY THE BODY!
The cocky wrestler is recognized as he saunters out onto the set and is greeted by Jett.
David Jett: "Scotty the Body, this is certainly a surprise as you return to Memphis by way of KAW. To what do we owe the pleasure?"
Scotty the Body: "David, over the last few years I've been wrestling all over the states with stops in Mississippi, Texas and even Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've won some, I've lost some but through it all, two things have been constant. Scotty the Body has had a good time and two, I've missed being home. Coming back to Memphis ... man, it's good to be home.
David Jett: "Your last stay in Memphis, there weren't too many people sad when you left."
Scotty the Body: "You know David, I can't argue that fact with you. I was young and cocky which rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. I've done a lot of thinking while out on the road, things are going to be different this time around, you'll see.
David Jett: "Welcome back to Memphis and the KAW!"
Scotty the Body versus Scott Studd
A "Battle of the Scottys" with the fired up rookie Scott Studd coming out like gangbusters but in his KAW debut, The Body is up to the challenge. An evenly fought match with both getting in some good offense with a near pinfall off of The Body's drop toehold out of nowhere. Studd comes back with a huge back body drop but goes to the well once too often, ducking his head a tad too early for a second one but a countering swinging neckbreaker. One rookie mistake and Scotty the Body wins his debut match in under ten minutes.

Back from the break, we get the slo-mo of the swinging neackbreaker before joining David Jett and once again, Scotty the Body.
David Jett: "Congratulations on your big win here today."
Scotty the Body: "Thanks David but first ... Scott come here ..."
Rubbing his neck, a dejected Scott Studd walks over as Scotty the Body extends his hand.
Scotty the Body: "I picked up the win today David but I have to say, this is one tough kid. He put on one heck of a match ... strong kid. Now, before you go anywhere Scott, let me say this, KAW has a Tag Team Tournament just starting and if there is any way to get into it, I'd like to ask you to be my partner?"
David Jett: "That is an offer I wasn't expecting. How about it, Scott?"
Scott Studd: "You got it!"
The two shake hands before they walk off to a chorus of cheers. With them gone, Jett is joined by the Kick Ass Icons, Jamie Dundee and JC Fargo, followed by The Midget.
David Jett: "Gentlemen, you head into this Tag Team Tournament tonight facing the team of Ken Timbs and Ben Jordan. After what has happened the past couple of weeks with the Snowman and Brickhouse Brown, are you prepared for tonight's match?"
Jamie Dundee: "David Jett, it's like this, we've got business to take care of tonight and we're ready. No problems there. The Snowman and Brickhouse Brown ... when the time comes, we'll take care of them ... you better believe that!
David Jett: "Good luck gentlemen."
The Kick Ass Icons w/The Midget versus Ben Jordan & Ken Timbs
It is main event time and referee Al Hall checks over both teams. Before the match, both teams come to the center of the ring and shake hands before heading back to their corners.
That's when things are interrupted ...
Snowman: "Isn't this nice? Just what I'd expect from something Jerry Lawler has his hands in. The best tag team here in the KAW and we're left off the dance card. Whatya say, Brick?"
Brickhouse Brown: "No one axed me if I wanted in on this. Don't think they axed you, Snowman? Did they ax you, Reggie?"
Snowman and Reggie Bennett shake their heads no while inside the ring, Timbs and Jordan hold Dundee and Fargo back from leaving the ring. Dundee and Fargo both try to get past the two holding them back to get at Snowman and Brown.
Snowman: "Brick, you'd think after the wake up call we handed these wannabes the past two weeks, they'd get the message and deal with us but jes like they's daddies, they're gonna ignore us. They don't want no piece of us. Too scared I'm thinking."
Dundee calls for a mic from Jett.
Jamie Dundee: "HEY! Hey, Snowman ... You want a match against us? You want to get in the ring with the Kick Icons?"
Snowman: "Thas what we're here for but you two have a Tag Team Tournament to be in."
Dundee says something to JC Fargo, then to Ken Timbs who shrugs his shoulders before nodding his head in agreement before all four men in the ring shake hands. Dundee says something to Al Hall who looks surprised before raising the hands of Timbs and Jordan.
THE KICK ASS ICONS HAVE FORFEITED THE MATCH!
Jamie Dundee: "LOOKS LIKE OUR DANCE CARD JUST GOT CLEAR! YOU WANT A MATCH ... YOU GOT IT!"
HERE COME THE KICK ASS ICONS!
Both Dundee and Fargo go on the attack and hammer away at Snowman and Brickhouse Brown who are taken by surprise. Fist City as The Icons hammer away and ... YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! A COMMERCIAL BREAK! DON'T GO AWAY!
-- Local commercials for Dixie Queen and Covington Pike Cadilliac of Memphis, along with an advertisement for the July 28th show at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse on the University of Memphis Campus --
We come back and Brickhouse Brown is whipped hard into the ring apron and goes down! The Midget puts the boots to him while Dundee and Fargo go after the ring leader. Lefts and rights on the Snowman before Brickhouse Brown is back in the fight after Reggie Bennett nails The Midget with her weight belt.
Brown nails Fargo from behind before the pair work over Jamie Dundee. They run him into the ring post and he goes down before taking a booting from them both.
David Jett: "JAMIE DUNDEE HAS BEEN BUSTED WIDE OPEN!"
Dundee comes up a bloody mess and Fargo jumps in to the rescue and gets in shots before being stopped by Reggie Bennett, again swinging her weight belt. All three of the Icons are down and taking a stomping.
Snowman: "HOLD HIM UP! HOLD HIM UP!"
Bennett and Brickhouse hold Dundee up for Snowman to slap him around some ... AND HERE COMES THE CAVALRY! Ken Timbs and Ben Jordan come in and are quickly dispatched. Timbs stands up to Snowman after Brown takes out Jordan and gets in some shots but Bennett, again, is the spoiler. The boobirds are out and the fans let the trio know exactly how they feel ...
Snowman gets Dundee back up and is talking in his face when the second wave comes to the rescue! HERE HE COMES! ARMED WITH A CHAIR, BERT PRENTICE COMES RUNNING OUT ALONE!
Unlike last week, Bert doesn't go crashing to the floor and comes up swinging! The Snowman sees Bert come in at the last second and ducks out of the way ... BERT PRENTICE HAS CLOBBERED REGGIE BENNETT WITH THE CHAIR! SHE GOES DOWN IN A HEAP!
We go off the air as Snowman and Brickhouse grab up Bennett and make their escape as the locker room clears to break things up and the fans go nuts with the Kick Ass Wrestling chants.
