An impressive win from the big man here today to kick off the program. We're just a little over 48 hours away from the biggest Coliseum Show of the Summer, our Independence Day celebration with not one, not two, BUT FOUR huge title matches signed! Two of those being for NWA World titles! Dave & Lance will have more on that a little later on, but RIGHT NOW we've got a quick run down of what's on tap for this morning:
The Championship Wrestling debut of the Blackhearts!
TV5 Championship is on the line as "Terrific" Terry Taylor defends against former champion "Superstar" Bill Dundee!
"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert will be in action!

We're back and it's with Dave Brown standing by with Eddie Marlin at the interview set. Dave gets right down to business asking Eddie if he's heard anything about the whereabouts of Koko Ware, filling the fans in on Koko Ware no showing the Coliseum and as he talks we've got a quick recap from the event showing Spellbinder holding his own against New Jack & Wolfie D two to one.
Eddie Marlin: " Well I've talked to Koko, and I've seen police reports about the incident. Ya'll see Koko Ware was attacked this past Monday Night at a gas station just a stones throw away from the Coliseum by 6 masked assailants. Witnesses at the scene have identified five of the men as being dark skinned, with the 6th being of Caucasian decent. Now to me it's pretty obvious that all signs point to Wolfie D & New Jack, but since Koko doesn't want to press charges, and the men were wearing mask, well then there's nothing I can really do about it. BUT what I can do, is keep them off TV with this as a punishment, and keep them off the big Coliseum show... I'm going to hit those thugs right where it hurts the most Lance, their wallets."
Dave Brown: " A truly dangerous situation when you've got people attacking others 6 to 1 OUTSIDE of the realms of the ring... "
Here comes THE SPELLBINDER...
Spellbinder: " I'm sorry for coming out here. I'm not a man of many words, but I just want to ask you Eddie... I want Wolfie D this Monday, I know you're punishing New Jack & the thugs they hang around with, but I owe it to Koko Ware to get some revenge..."
Eddie Marlin: " I'll tell yah what Spellbinder, you want Wolfie, you got Wolfie... but New Jack & his cronies are BARRED from the building, this way for ONCE you'll get a fair fight out of Wolfie D! "
Dave Brown: " There you have it fans, Spellbinder Vs. Wolfie D signed for this Monday Night! We'll be back with our opening contest as Eddie Gilbert will be in action! But right now I'm being told we've got a music video for Jeff Jarrett, this should be a real doozy!"
And the same music video from a few weeks ago begins to play.... only to be cut off a few seconds in, as BRIAN CHRISTOPHER has made his way out, shouting CUT IT... CUT IT...
Dave Brown: " Hey now, hey..."
Brian Christopher: " CRAM IT DAVE BROWN! You've GOT TO BE FREAKING KIDDING ME! AGAIN? They're showing the music video AGAIN??! Jeff Jarrett takes a freaking day off, and we're showing the VIDEO AGAIN?! I'm here EVERY WEEK DAVE BROWN, where's my music video? I'm the USWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion, where's my music video? EH? "
Dave Brown: " Well you might not be the champion for long after this Monday Night, when you defend that title against Jarrett.. "
Brian Christopher: " Yeah, yeah.. I'll beat him, and they'll probably PLAY HIS FREAKING VIDEO THE NEXT WEEK! Well Dave Brown, I'm SICK OF IT.. that's why this week I'm SHOOTING MY OWN MUSIC VIDEO! You hear me? I'm SHOOTING MY OWN MUSIC VIDEO, and right here NEXT WEEK it'll DEBUT for all these stupid fans... they'll love it, 'cause it shows a side of Brian Christopher that has NEVER been seen before! "

Knight may be bigger, but Gilbert is a freaking mad man in there. Has to be pulled off Bobby a few times, as he's just out and out mauling him, while screaming the name Terry Funk over and over again. Within a short time, Gilbert puts the larger Knight away with a Hot Shot.
Gilbert storms to the interview set after the win, with Paul E. at his side. Pulling at his own hair.
Eddie Gilbert: " YAH SEE THAT RIGHT THERE... ALL I SAW... ALL I SAW WAS TERRY FUNK! I'M GONNA BREAK THAT OLD MAN! I'M GONNA BREAK THAT OLD MAN! I'M GETTING MY BELT BACK RUSSELL... YOU HEAR ME??? WHAT'S MINE IS MINE, AND THAT OLD MAN'S GOT WHAT BELONGS TO ME!! "
Lance Russell: " It's been quite a long time since I've seen you this frustrated Eddie..."
Gilbert balls up a fist...
Eddie Gilbert: "Frustrated! Frustrated! "
Paul E. holds him back, stating he's got this one.
Paul E. Dangerously: " What you call frustration I can FOCUS. See Eddie Gilbert is as focussed as he's ever been... focussed on ending the old man's career... "
Lance Russell: " You can call him old, you can put whatever spin on whatever is going on here with Eddie 'yah want to, but the fact is Terry Funk is the USWA Heavyweight Champion & so far he's gotten your man Eddie here's number. "
Paul E. Dangerously: " Without question he has, do you hear me denying that? Terry Funk DEFEATED Eddie Gilbert, Terry Funk pinned Eddie Gilbert CLEAR in the middle...
Eddie Gilbert: " HE GOT LUCKY! "
Paul E. Dangerously: " And luck can only get you so far. You know what makes me sick Lance? "
Lance Russell: " I can only imagine..."
Paul E. Dangerously: " Real cute... what makes me sick, above all else, yeah he beat us, yadda yadda yadda, but it's not even that... it's how Terry Funk has been embraced by these people.. can you believe that? Terry Funk the man who once told the world that if America needed an enema they'd start by sticking the nozzle right here in this very city, Terry Funk the man who's said and done such horrible horrible things to Jerry Lawler... they cheer his name? He wins a match, he hops into the crowd.. he cuts a promo on HUMILITY... that OLD MANGY MUTT takes about humility? Lance welcomes USWA Heavyweight Champion: Terry Funk to the interview set and is immediately caught by surprise. Funk's in great spirits as he puts his arm around Lance.
Terry Funk: "This guy.. oh it's great to see you Lancey.."
Lance Russell: " Not the reaction I'd expected, that's for sure... I'm surprised to see you in such good spirits after Eddie Gilbert & Paul E. Dangerously's comments earlier in the program..."
Terry Funk: " Ohh I've been doing this for far too long to let the words of SCUM like Eddie Gilbert & Paul E. get to me Lance... besides they weren't all that far from the truth... truth is I ain't no spring chicken & yeah perhaps I AM a hypocrite for pandering to these great people... but 'yah know what Lancey? My daddy once told me that SOMETIMES you CAN squeeze blood from a stone, that sometimes a leopard CAN change he's spots... you see the impossible is possible if only ya'h believe... and I believe that this old mangey mutt has already proven that he's got the Alliance's number, now hasn't he? "
Lance Russell: " It would appear that way, not only are you now the USWA Heavyweight Champion but just this past Monday yourself and the NWA Worlds Champion Ricky Steamboat were victorious against Idol & Eddie at the Coliseum.... "
Terry Funk: " Not bad for a mangey, beaten down old man, now ain't it? See as up there as I'm getting in years, don't mean I ain't prepared for what's to come... I knew the moment I put that mask on and fooled those two SCUM into putting this here title (pats the belt) on the line, that they'd be coming on after it... I don't blame them, I'd do the very same... but ya'h see Lancey.... I ain't got no quit in me... my knees they ain't the same, my back? It's pretty beat up, but ya'h know what, I ain't got no quit in me... Eddie Gilbert though... see Eddie Gilbert, why he's a legend in his own mind.. he might tell ya'll he ain't got no quit in him, but two weeks ago right here on this very program... I made him cry uncle... ME... the old man, made that snot noised brat cry UNCLE right there (points to the ring) in the middle of that there ring, all while the SEWER RAT PAUL E. begged me to stop... and I'm fixing to do it again if given the opportunity."
Lance Russell: " Looking forward to it Terry, should be quite the contest this Monday Night..."
Funk is all smiles...
Terry Funk: " I wouldn't have it any other way Lancey!"
Thumbs up from Funker and we're headed to the ring for our next contest!
Huge rematch from last week, which as they lock up we're taking to highlights of that finish and Taylor's win. This match was a lot of fun, old school southern 'rasslin at it's finest. Taylor was cocky as ever at points, but WHAMO there was Bill to punch some humility into 'em! We're taking to a commercial break mid way through and when we return it appears as though Greg "the Hammer" Valentine & Marcus Bagwell have come out to cheer their respective partners on. Of course this thing breaks down with Valentine & Bagwell getting into it distracting the official, which allows Paul E. to slide the phone into Taylor... Dundee doesn't see it and approaches Taylor WHAMO phone shot! Taylor ditches the evidence and gets the pin to retain at 12:48!

Our announcers of course are appalled. Bagwell checks on Dundee as Valentine shouts some not so kind words in his direction. Paul is beaming as we head to break, with the promise of Brian Christopher & the Blackhearts in action when we return!

We're back and it's to the ring for singles action!
Borrowing a finish from the house show circuit, Christopher suck kicks Summers the moment the bell sounds with that superkick of his, pin follows giving him the win in just 8 seconds!
Brian jars with the fans some, but he's out of there quick as Daryl Van Horne leads in his charges for our next contest!
Camera zooms in on Daryl before the bell sounds, to which he invites us all the "witness the actions of Doomsday, thru his greatest disciples" Whatever that means. Quick little squash that see's the Black Hearts show off some unique double team maneuvers before finishing Chris off with a unique second rope power bomb/hooking clothesline finish at just 2:50. They let out a unique screech and pose following their win moments later. Odd bunch these guys are, that's for sure.

We do the whole "SPEAKING OF TAG TEAMS" thing and what that does is get the Fantastics: Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton out here to talk about their NWA World Tag Team Championship match this Monday! Thanking the fans, putting over the Steiners strong, usual baby face stuff out of them. Mentioning that they're impressed by these Blackhearts too, 'cause why not. Nothing more to really report, standard baby face stuff as we head to break, with a clip of the Blackhearts impressive finisher of course. Caption reads "THE KING SPEAKS.. NEXT!"

We're back and it's to Lance & Dave taking us back to highlights from this past Monday's handi-capped match pitting Bam Bam Bigelow & the Bad Crew against Jerry "the King" Lawler & Chris Candido!

The numbers game appears to be too much for the faces, but then the unthinkable happens.... something the King had warned Bam Bam of weeks ago.... With all three men (with Rumble holding 'em in the corner)tearing into Candido, Lawler shoves past the official, spins Bigelow arround and..
FIREBALL!! FIREBALL! THE KING THROWS FIRE AT BAM BAM BIGELOW FOR THE DQ! They don't look like winners, but the Brotherhood wins, as Rumble is in a state of panic, his freaking meal ticket has just been burnt with a fireball! Medics hit the ring as the crowd roars in approval!

And it's back to Lance at the podium and he's not alone as both Jerry "the King" Lawler & "Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido are right along side 'em.
Lance Russell: " 2500 dollars was the fine rendered by Eddie Marlin, King I've gotta ask you, was it worth it?"
Lawler laughs..
Jerry "the King" Lawler: " It was worth every penny Lance. You can't say I didn't warn the big lug, I told him if this was a road he wanted to go down again what would happened, and at the end of the day I'm just a man of my word. So yeah, it was worth it Lance, and yes I'd do it again in a heart beat if giving the opportunity. See I tried to avoid this all, but Bam Bam he just wouldn't let up... you play with fire, you get burnt simple as that... "
Lance Russell: " Some might not agree with you, but I know Chris here does..."
Chris Candido: " Damn right I agree! I was in there, THEYWERETRYINGTOPUTTHESUICIDEBLONDE OUTTABUISNESS.."
Just then out to interrupt 'cause the "Boston Bad Boy" Tony Rumble, ALL ALONE.. dressed to wrestle?
Tony Rumble: " Some King you are, brutha... yah' put my meal ticket out, and you're proud of it... some king you are.."
Jerry Lawler: " And I'll put YOU out if you don't watch yourself Tony! (clenches his fist) You're nothing but a bottom feeder who's trying to take advantage of an angry giant, well I showed that giant Monday Night that I'm not playing around this time around... way I see it, HE ASKED for it the second he turned his back on me and these people. "
Tony Rumble: " King of the rednecks, this one over here Lance... but brutha (King says he's not his brother).. yeah, yeah whatever I ain't here for you... I'm here for Chris Candido... See I got a reputation to keep... I gotta show Bam Bam Bigelow, who's at home with third degree burns, that the Boston Bad Boy Tony Rumble can get his hands dirty if need be.. so Chris... yah turncoat... yah bum... yah has been, yah punk kid... I'm dressed to wrestle, see.. I'm a professional wrestler turned manager kid, and I'm tired of yah running down MY GOOD NAME...so Kid I'm here to CALL YOU OUT... right here on Championship 'Rasslin."
Lawler & Candido both laugh...
Chris Candido: " You? You wanna fight me? Tony you've never beaten any body, man... SURE WHY NOT, I've been fixing to get my hands on you ANYWAY... so sure... "
Tony Rumble: " Good, 'cause I'm going into that ring kid, and I'm making a man out of you yet.. BELIEVE THAT BRUTHA! "
Lance Russell: " Tony Rumble the wrestler? I've seen it all now..."
Rumble heads to the ring, shouting come on... Candido & Lawler laugh.. King say's he's sticking around 'cause this should be fun.
Rumble talks a big game, but yeah he gets his behind handed to him. Candido's having some fun at his expense in there... BUT WHAMO out on the outside to rather jacked up individuals BLINDSIDE LAWLER with a large steel chain!
Candido is distracted and Rumble takes over, as Lance & Dave are introduced to the King when these two muscle heads PITCH HIM INTO THE TABLE, luckily they have time to move out of the way as the table tumbles over! They then turn their attention to Candido as they hit the ring for the official DQ!
Post Match- With Lawler down the men quickly take Candido out with a chain assisted clothesline! Rumble & these mystery men head over to Lance Russell.
Lance Russell: " It was a trap all along, who are these men? You should be ashamed of yourself Rumble..."
Tony Rumble: " Of course it was a trap Russell, I'm RETIRED BRUTHAH.. Chris Candido ain't worth my time! These men right here... yah' see the thing is, Bam Bam Bigelow ain't happy... so while he's out he put in a call to his old trainer Larry Sharpe, and Larry Sharpe heard what Lawler did, and yah' know he wasn't happy... so he's sent me these fine gentlemen right here... REX & SPIKE the PITBULLS BROTHAH, and I'm fixing to turn them loose on those two goofs Lawler & Candido this Monday Night, that's if they've got the GUTS to face Larry Sharpe's Dogs of War Brutha! "
Lance & Dave call for a break as the Bulls leave, gotta clean the place up and all.

We return and we're joined by the King yet again, with an icepack on his head..
Jerry Lawler: " Rex and Spike, huh? "
Lance Russell: " That's what he called them..."
Jerry Lawler: " Well I'm sure the kid's okay, he's in the back getting looked at, but I'm sure he's okay.. little shaking up... but he'll be just fine... Monday Night, huh? "
Lance Russell: " That's what he was calling for..."
Jerry Lawler: " From bad to worse, but still standing, Monday Night? SURE we'll be there ready to fight... You know Lance, if Larry Sharpe was really man enough he'd show up here himself, but hey you've gotta work with what's in front of you, Pitbulls you're on... but MARK MY WORDS Tony Rumble, I WILL get my hands on you and I'm fixing to do it Monday Night at the Coliseum! "

Idol pins Steamboat after a "crew member" KO's Steamboat with a cell phone, the crew member is they revealed to be Paul E. Dangerously. Clips from 6/11/92 with Ricky Steamboat trying a backslide for a two count, only for Idol to strike with one of his own moments later for the NON-title victory, pinning Steamboat a SECOND time.

We're back and it's MAIN EVENT TIME Marcus Bagwell going one on one with Greg Valentine!
Valentine wrestles circles around the kid at first, but Bagwell continues to impress by simply being able to hang in there. The Hammer gets a near fall off one of his trademark elbows. He looks for the figure four only for Marcus to score with a small package for two. We go to break mid way through and return to Bagwell in control. Marcus motions for the Fisherman's suplex... BUT HERE COMES TERRY TAYLOR to interfere in full view of the official drawing the DQ!
Your Winner: " Marcus Bagwell in 13:21 via disqualification"
Post Match- Numbers game doesn't last very long as "Superstar" Bill Dundee hits the ring to even out the odds! BUT HERE COMES "HOT STUFF" EDDIE GILBERT for the Dangerous Alliance! 3 on 2 out there, with the heels fully in control... BUT HERE COMES...
USWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: TERRY FUNK! He's got that trademark branding iron of his and TAKES IT TO THE DA! Paul E. gets his charges to bail, after they do some goofy selling for Funk of course as the crowd goes freaking wild! With the crowd still cheering, Funk, Dundee & Marcus hit the interview area where Lance awaits!
Bill Dundee: " Yah know something Lance, never thought I'd see the day that Terry Funk would come on out here to save me and Marcus over here..."
Terry Funk: " Well that just hurts my feelings, just a little.. but you're right it sure is wild, ain't it? We ain't always been on the same page, but Billy my good man... TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING.."
Lance Russell: " Well with the numbers game the Dangerous Alliance likes to play, I've gotta say it's great to see you guys banding together.."
Terry Funk: " Sometimes you've gotta do, what you gotta do... and if Terry Funk needs folk to watch his back, ain't none better than the Superstar and Marky Bagwell... "

Our opening bout saw the Spellbinder pick up an impressive victory over David Young via pinfall off a side slam at 2:45. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert with a huge win over "Big" Bobby Knight with that Hot Shot of his at just 3:01. TV5 Champion "Terrific" Terry Taylor retained his title over former champion "Superstar" Bill Dundee with help from Paul E. & Greg Valentine, time on that one was 12:48. Took Brian Christopher just 8 seconds to defeat Shaun Summers with that superkick of his. The mysterious Blackhearts impressed with that unique finisher of theirs taking them to victory over Chris Hamrick & Super Masked Destroyer, time was 2:50. Something we thought we'd never see as Tony Rumble stepped into the ring against Chris Candido, but then the Pitbulls showed up for the DQ at just 3:30. And in our main event, Marcus Bagwell was victorious over Greg "the Hammer" Valentine as a result of a disqualification at 13:21.

We're back and it's with Dave Brown standing by with Eddie Marlin at the interview set. Dave gets right down to business asking Eddie if he's heard anything about the whereabouts of Koko Ware, filling the fans in on Koko Ware no showing the Coliseum and as he talks we've got a quick recap from the event showing Spellbinder holding his own against New Jack & Wolfie D two to one.
Eddie Marlin: " Well I've talked to Koko, and I've seen police reports about the incident. Ya'll see Koko Ware was attacked this past Monday Night at a gas station just a stones throw away from the Coliseum by 6 masked assailants. Witnesses at the scene have identified five of the men as being dark skinned, with the 6th being of Caucasian decent. Now to me it's pretty obvious that all signs point to Wolfie D & New Jack, but since Koko doesn't want to press charges, and the men were wearing mask, well then there's nothing I can really do about it. BUT what I can do, is keep them off TV with this as a punishment, and keep them off the big Coliseum show... I'm going to hit those thugs right where it hurts the most Lance, their wallets."
Dave Brown: " A truly dangerous situation when you've got people attacking others 6 to 1 OUTSIDE of the realms of the ring... "
Here comes THE SPELLBINDER...
Spellbinder: " I'm sorry for coming out here. I'm not a man of many words, but I just want to ask you Eddie... I want Wolfie D this Monday, I know you're punishing New Jack & the thugs they hang around with, but I owe it to Koko Ware to get some revenge..."

We're taking to a commercial break mid way through and when we return it appears as though Greg "the Hammer" Valentine & Marcus Bagwell have come out to cheer their respective partners on. Of course this thing breaks down with Valentine & Bagwell getting into it distracting the official, which allows Paul E. to slide the phone into Taylor... Dundee doesn't see it and approaches Taylor WHAMO phone shot! Taylor ditches the evidence and gets the pin to retain at 12:48!

Post Match- Numbers game doesn't last very long as "Superstar" Bill Dundee hits the ring to even out the odds! BUT HERE COMES "HOT STUFF" EDDIE GILBERT for the Dangerous Alliance! 3 on 2 out there, with the heels fully in control... BUT HERE COMES...
USWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: TERRY FUNK! He's got that trademark branding iron of his and TAKES IT TO THE DA! Paul E. gets his charges to bail, after they do some goofy selling for Funk of course as the crowd goes freaking wild! With the crowd still cheering, Funk, Dundee & Marcus hit the interview area where Lance awaits!
Bill Dundee: " Yah know something Lance, never thought I'd see the day that Terry Funk would come on out here to save me and Marcus over here..."
Terry Funk: " Well that just hurts my feelings, just a little.. but you're right it sure is wild, ain't it? We ain't always been on the same page, but Billy my good man... TIMES THEY ARE A CHANGING.."
Lance Russell: " Well with the numbers game the Dangerous Alliance likes to play, I've gotta say it's great to see you guys banding together.."
Terry Funk: " Sometimes you've gotta do, what you gotta do... and if Terry Funk needs folk to watch his back, ain't none better than the Superstar and Marky Bagwell... "
Bill Dundee: " I don't know about all this watching each others back stuff Funk, but I'll tell 'yah what I'll take ya out your word... "
Terry Funk: " Man's about as good as his word, ain't that right Billy? You ain't exactly always been a saint, water under the bridge I say... you watch my back, and I'll watch ya'lls. "
Bill Dundee: " Well, when you put it that way... Marcus... I'm in if you're in... (Bagwell nods saying yeah of course)... put er there.. "
Terry Funk: " Ain't no handshake gonna do it... COME HERE GIVE THE FUNKER A HUG! "
Dundee doesn't have time to react as Funker squeezes tight, the look on Bill Dundee's face is priceless. Marcus gets one too.
Terry Funk: " Friendship is a beautiful thing... ain't it Lancey? Pretty soon there's gonna be just as many of us as there are them... and that's no game it's a declaration of war, if I do say so myself..."
And with that Lance takes us to break, well tries to as Funker latches onto to him putting his arm around 'em. We're coming back to wrap things up in just a moment.

Paul E. Dangerously: " Well if Terry Funk, Bill Dundee & Marcus Bagwell went a war with the Dangerous Alliance, then THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY GET... but mark my words old man, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR! Don't say I didn't WARN YOU!... "
Paul E storms off set. Dave & Lance do the whole "We'll that remains to be seen" routine before moving into the close.
Our opening bout saw the Spellbinder pick up an impressive victory over David Young via pinfall off a side slam at 2:45. "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert with a huge win over "Big" Bobby Knight with that Hot Shot of his at just 3:01. TV5 Champion "Terrific" Terry Taylor retained his title over former champion "Superstar" Bill Dundee with help from Paul E. & Greg Valentine, time on that one was 12:48. Took Brian Christopher just 8 seconds to defeat Shaun Summers with that superkick of his. The mysterious Blackhearts impressed with that unique finisher of theirs taking them to victory over Chris Hamrick & Super Masked Destroyer, time was 2:50. Something we thought we'd never see as Tony Rumble stepped into the ring against Chris Candido, but then the Pitbulls showed up for the DQ at just 3:30. And in our main event, Marcus Bagwell was victorious over Greg "the Hammer" Valentine as a result of a disqualification at 13:21.
