News & Notes
The January tour will in PART kick off on January 5th in Korakuen Hall, as Kodo Fuyuki's side project: FREEDOM will be taping an episode of their monthly TV with a ton of FMW talent involved. The mystery match gimmick is in full effect as this is all that's been announced:
Main Event
Kodo Fuyuki & X Vs. Two Members of Team FMW
Gedo, Jado & Hido Vs. Three Members Of W*ING (Which W*ING is unknown)
Inter-gender Tag
X & X Vs. X & X
Five on 2 Handi-capped
X, X, X, X, & X Vs. X&X
+ The Debut of RINGZ.
From there it's the ACTUAL FMW tour WITHOUT Atsushi Onita, who's nursing his injured neck for at least the time being. A big part of the tour will deal with the vacant Brass Knuckles Tag Team Championship, as a tournament WILL be held (it's finals being a barbed wire street fight), with the winners not only taking home the championships, but earning the right to UNIFY the belts with the HeadHunters W*ING Tag Team Championships at some point in the near future.
The tour will kick off in Korakuen Hall on January 6th, with a huge main event as Awesome Gladiator will make his third defense of the FMW Brass Knuckles Championship against SHIN W*ING's Mr. Pogo! If you recall Pogo earned a title shot back on December 8th when he defeated Tarzan Goto in a number one contenders match.
The tag tournament itself kicks off the very next night in Chiba and will actually be a DOUBLE ELIMINATION tournament. Meaning the losers from the first round will then compete with each other for a spot in the finals, facing off against the losers of the second round and final those of the semi-finals, the winners of the losers tournament will only have to be pinned ONCE, where as the team that wins the whole tournament will have to be defeated twice in the finals. Yeah, it's a bit much I know, but it allows me to stretch the standard tournament throughout the entire tour.
The teams are as follows:
From Lethal Weapon:
Awesome Gladiator & Big Titan
From W*ING:
"Mr. Danger" Mitsuhiro Matsunaga & Yukihiro Kanemura
Representing FMW:
Sambo Asako & Katsutoshi Niiyama[/img]
Representing Fuyuki-gun:
Gedo & Jado
Representing SHIN W*ING:
Mr. Pogo & A Mystery Partner!
Representing W*ING:
The Monster Squad (Jason The Terrible & Super Leather)
Representing FMW:
Battle Ranger Z & Koji Nakagawa
And lastly the duo of:
Damian 666 & The Dark Ranger
