Until I figure out if I'm going to bundle the highlights of this show, with the highlights of the year end show, here's a bare boned version of the show.

FMW Vs. AJW
Aja Kong & Kyoko Inoue (AJW) defeated Shark Tsuchiya & Crusher Maedomari (FMW) when Kong pinned Tsuchiya at 7:50 off a brain buster.

Independent World Jr. Heavyweight Championship
Decision Match
Battle Ranger Z defeated Dark Ranger off an Elevated Cradle Neckbreaker (Muscle Buster but instead of falling backwards you drop the oppenent on your shoulder neckbreaker style) at 11:49 to become the new champion.

An interview backstage with the new champion is interrupted by another W*ING defection as WWC/W*ING Jr. Heavyweight Champion: Masayoshi Motegi shows up (without the title as it's been returned to WWC in Puerto Rico where all W*ING ties will be dropped) shows up and issues a challenge for the year end show, that's quickly excepted. So we've got our first match lined up for 12/26 at Korakuen Hall and it's W*ING's Jr. Heavyweight Champion Vs. FMW's newly crowned Jr. Heavyweight Champion!

Bull Nakano (AJW) defeated Combat Toyoda (FMW) via pinfall off top rope diving guillotine legdrop at 6:02.

Megumi Kudo (FMW) defeated Takako Inoue (AJW) via pinfall off the Kudome Valentine (Cop Killer/Vertabreaker) at 6:19.




Intermission

3 On 2 Handicapped Match
Team Canada (Ricky Fuji, Big Titan & Dr. Luther) defeated Awesome Gladiator & Sambo Asako when Titan pinned Sambo off a choke slam at 8:12.

A backstage interview has an irate Awesome swearing up a storm and DEMANDING a match with Ricky Fuji as a result. Fuji is then told of this, and excepts ONLY if the Brass Knuckles title is on the line.

Before the W*ING Vs. FMW Barbed Wire Baseball Bat Scramble Match, we do the reveal of the W*ING team's mystery partner and it's W*ING fan favorite...

W*ING (Masaru Toi, Hideki Hosaka & Jason The Terrible) defeated FMW (Katsutoshi Niiyama & Mr. Gannosuke & Koji Nakagawa) when Hosaka made Nakagawa submit to the W*ING Special (Scorpion Deathlock with a barbed wire baseball bat wedged in between) at 16:25.

Mr. Pogo (W*ING) defeated Tarzan Goto (FMW) via pinfall off not one but two DDT's on a set of chairs at 13:01.

No Ropes Exploding Barbed wire Explosive Corners Death Match

Atsushi Onita (FMW) & Mitsuhiro Matsunaga (W*ING) battled to a NO CONTEST WHEN FUYUKI-GUN (Kodo Fuyuki, Gedo, Jado, Hido & Hisakatsu Oya) interfered destroying both men at 17:32.

Both men were a bloody mess BEFORE the attack, which saw Fuyuki & company toss Onita from the apron into the explosives out on the floor, then gang up on Matsunaga by running him into the explosives on the wire that replaced the ropes (two sides were barbed wire explosives, the other side was no wire but the floor had exploding barbed wire boards). W*ING wrestlers: Hosaka, Toi, Jason The Terrible hit the ring and began brawling with Fuyuki-gun, with the 5 on 3 being a huge disadvantage so they get taken out... FMW wrestlers lead by Tarzan Goto (Gannosuke, Nakagawa, Asako & Niiyama) hit the ring but fail as well. AWESOME GLADIATOR is out to a huge ovation and he helps turn the tide! FMW & W*ING regroup and fend off Fuyuki-gun TOGETHER... AND MR. POGO joins the fray! Fuyuki-gun high tails it but WHAT A STORY HERE!

Video recorded backstage has a broken down, battered and beaten Atsushi Onita interupt an interview with a battered and broken Mitsuhiro Matsunaga!!! Onita wants to let bygones be bygones and asks Matsunaga & anyone from W*ING to be his AND Tarazan Goto's partner at the year end show, that's right W*ING AND FMW together against FUYUKI-GUN! Matsunaga accepts.

A backstage interview with Kodo Fuyuki & Fuyuki-gun, has him declaring FMW his home, and promising to DO AWAY with the ULTRA-VIOLENCE when all is said and done. He also brags about DESTROYING W*ING by showing up here, which should play into the feud quite nicely. Fuyuki says that he WILL NEVER fight Onita in a barbed wire match, that tonight is the CLOSEST we'll ever come to seeing WRESTLERS like himself and Oya anywhere NEAR barbed wire, and LOOKS FORWARD to W*ING & FMW's challenge.

So there you go, the main event is set for the year end show, a standard 8 man tag with Kodo Fuyuki, Gedo, Jado & Hisakatsu Oya of Fuyuki-gun facing W*ING's Mitsuhiro Matsunaga & Mr. Pogo & FMW's Atsushi Onita & Tarzan Goto, AT LEAST that's what we thought here... BUT...

THE FALL OUT...

Onita kept Fuyuki-gun's debut a secrete to much of the locker room, including Tarzan Goto. When he told Goto the day of the show, Tarzan was none to happy, worried about his spot on the roster should W*ING front man Mitsuhiro Matsunaga turn baby face. He also saw an oppertunity in the making here, and on December the 9th, just one day after this very show, W*ING president Micky Ibaragi announced that Tarzan Goto was coming to W*ING, and not alone as he'd be bringing his protege Mr. Gannosuke. Not the W*ING stable, but what's left of the W*ING promotion. So Tarzan Goto & Gannosuke are gone from FMW after this show and on their way to try to SAVE W*ING from it's inevitable shut down.

FMW would then announce the very next day that Goto would be replaced by yet another W*ING wrestler, keeping the identity of the latest defection a secrete.

I'll have a full line up for the year end show by the end of the week.

Not much to comment on right now, not being overly familiar with a lot of this and this the first show.

The main event post match though gives an interesting scenario. It feels a little rushed that show #1 out of this run, we are already getting an angle that causes FMW to team with W*ING. You gave the back story that speaks otherwise where it is not the first show, so it really just feels that way to read it because it is the first show being written and read as your specific project. Nothing wrong with it from an angle standpoint really and trying to put myself into the shoes of somebody that would have actually seen the back story that you gave. Even without the longer matches, seeing the 2 co-main events then announced to team up with the stipulations they just fought through lol, pretty crazy to see. Here is to hoping that Fuyuki-Gun's mission ultimately fails.

Awesome really gets a much better presence here than he did in New Japan. While you did a good job with him there, there felt like a lot more limitations based on the rest of the foreign talent present that here is not at all an issue right now. You set up his character perfectly over the last year, and now it feels like time to see it really put into play. Unleashed is a fitting term here for me as that is what it feels like - feared before on a leash, now the leash is off, let's see what he does.

And then we get the fall out. Again, "feels" rushed reading it the first time, but not really the first show or anything so understandable to try and mix things up out of the gate with stuff like that on the first presented show by you. Lots of ways that mystery man angle could go. Who is the W*ING guy to fill the spot? Again, not being remotely familiar with anything W*ING, I cannot really try and speculate. This seems pretty angle heavy, so it could also be nWo-ish where the guy just turns on the group and joins Fuyuki-Gun, or gives way to a 3 way split.

Looking forward to what comes next.

I enjoyed this. It does have a feel that it has been around for awhile and we've been dropped into the middle of something but I think that is okay because it brings us in with things up and running and a major storyline that doesn't need a long build.

Ohh yeah. By the look of things, I think I might just enjoy the heck out of this thing, man. Kinda figured as such, seeing as how your Puerto Rico stint and your Extreme stuff in Philly was among some of my absolute favorites from ya. So I guess I should'a seen it coming. But the ultra-violence slant is admittedly something I don't care much for in real life, yet ya somehow manage to maintain a neat blend & balance with it.

Looking forward to more developments to help flesh angles & stories out, obviously. But this certainly looks like something I can sink my teeth into.
