Tony Schiavone: Welcome to WCW Saturday Night! On the air here on TBS, where in just 5 days time, the Clash of Champions comes your way on Thanksgiving night. I'm Tony Schiavone, joined by Jesse The Body Ventura, and tonight we have a big hour in store for you. Tonight, the final match in the King of Cable tournament before the final comes your way this Thursday. Johnny B. Badd and Lord Steven Regal to renew their rivalry, certainly not strangers to 1 another.
Jesse Ventura: Ha, no they aren't Schiavone. Whether it was a boxing match, or that little twerp Sir William was sticking his nose in where it didn't belong, we saw it all between those 2. At least that's what I thought. We saw it all until tonight. Maybe the biggest match between these 2 to date. There's no TV title on the line, but a whole lot of pride. I don't know Tony, this could go either way. Who are you taking?
Tony Schiavone: Could go either way Jesse, but you can bet that The Natural Dustin Rhodes will be watching. Also tonight, we heard the challenge last week from Scotty Flamingo, and the challenge has been accepted, but there's more to it than that. 6 man tag team match tonight as the Tag Team champions 2 Cold Scorpio and Marcus Alexander Bagwell team up with The Z Man, and they take on Beautiful Bobby, Chris Benoit, and Brad Armstrong.
Jesse Ventura: And you wanna talk a big match, we got it right here on Saturday Night! This is going to be a fast paced, action packed match that could go either way. Hard to pick a winner in this 1, but not only that, you got The Z Man and Brad Armstrong Monday on Nitro, and the Tag Team title match at the Clash. You win or lose tonight and it could mean a win or a loss next time out too! Momentum is a funny thing, and these guys are all gonna be looking for it.
Tony Schiavone: Also we will take a look at Diamond Dallas Page, plus when we return The Nasty Boys are in action and a word from the U.S. champion, the Ice Train. Stay with us, lots of action coming your way, WCW Saturday Night! Don't touch that dial.
-- First commercial break --
The U.S. champion Ice Train is interviewed about the possibility of his name coming up Monday on Nitro in the Computer Contenders Challenge defense. He tells the viewers that sooner or later he will be called upon by the super computer, and whichever name it spits out as the perfect challenger for him and his title, he intends to step up and face the challenge. Thus far undefeated in WCW, nobody has been able to put a stop to the Ice Train, and that includes Tex Slazenger and Shanghai Pierce. Train says that he hopes somehow that computer pulls up both of their names so that he can kill 2 birds with 1 stone just like they deserve. Whether it is 1 of them, both of them, or anybody else, everybody will fall to the Ice Train.
Match #1
The Nasty Boys defeated The Wrecking Crew when Saggs pinned Rage after an elbow drop from the top rope, following a powerslam from Knobbs. Still very much alive in the WCW tag team division, The Nasties rebound from a loss on Monday's Nitro to The Hollywood Blonds by going toe to toe tonight with Rage and Fury of The Wrecking Crew. The commentators mention that The Nasty Boys will have a chance at revenge as part of a special 8 tag team "Thanksgiving style" elimination match on Monday's Nitro, all 8 teams looking to make a statement in that match.
-- Second commercial break --
Dustin Rhodes is interviewed about tonight's King of Cable semi final with Johnny B. Badd and Lord Steven Regal. He tells the viewers that he sees this from 2 different perspectives, either a chance to avenge his loss to Johnny B. Badd at the Halloween Havoc, or a chance to defeat the reigning TV champion and put himself in line for a future title shot. He personally hopes that it is Badd because despite his recent attitude problems, he knows that deep down inside, he is a good man and a decent competitor. Regal on the other hand will do whatever it takes to win, and he will even have to watch out for that no good Jean Paul Levesque on the outside. Win, lose, or draw, may the "badder" man win.
Match #2
Max Muscle defeated Skip Young via pinfall after a lifting full nelson slam. Originally set to feature Diamond Dallas Page in action, DDP instead claims to be under the weather, letting his bodyguard take the match instead. Muscle dominates Young, destroying him in only a matter of minutes. Tony Schiavone exclaims that Muscle could be a force within WCW with a showing like this, while Jesse Ventura says that DDP is the force because with this man watching his back, nobody's going to want to get in his way as he starts to rebound from being eliminated in the King of Cable tournament a couple weeks back.
-- Third commercial break --
CLASH OF CHAMPIONS CONTROL CENTER
- Eric Bischoff is standing by for the latest installment. The event takes place live on TBS on Thanksgiving night, this Thursday November 28 at 8:05 eastern from The Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. The main event is set to see Ravishing Rick Rude defend the World Title against Rowdy Roddy Piper in a Steel Cage match, following Piper's non title win at the Havoc. In the co main event, Sting and Cactus Jack team up to take on WCW champion Big Van Vader and The Black Scorpion, following recent attacks on Sting by the unknown masked man. The Road Warriors will battle Harlem Heat to settle that rivalry once and for all. The WCW Tag Team Title is on the line as champions 2 Cold Scorpio and Marcus Alexander Bagwell defend once more against former champions Bobby Eaton and Chris Benoit. As we heard Monday on Nitro, Hulk Hogan will be at the Clash of Champions live to sign a contract with WCW and setup a match with Sting for Starrcade. And in another big match, Nature Boy Ric Flair takes on Barry Windham in an I Quit match, where if Flair says the words, he literally will quit WCW. More matches to be announced Monday on Nitro. The Clash of Champions, live on TBS. Don't miss it!
Match #3
Bobby Eaton, Chris Benoit, and Brad Armstrong defeated 2 Cold Scorpio, Marcus Alexander Bagwell, and The Z Man when Eaton pinned Scorpio following the Alabama Jam. The match went back and forth, and eventually broke out into a brawl with all 6 wrestlers in the ring going at it. Scorpio had control of Eaton when Scotty Flamingo snuck into the ring as the referee was distracted and hit him from behind. This allowed for Eaton to hit his finisher and steal a victory, and put themselves in a good position heading into the Clash of Champions in a mere 4 days time. Tony Schiavone makes mention that The Z Man and Brad Armstrong are also set to go 1 on 1 on Nitro Monday to settle their differences, with Jesse Ventura pointing out that so far Armstrong seems to have the upper hand on Zenk and he will need to step up his game to have a chance.
-- Fourth commercial break --

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Harlem Heat are interviewed about the situation with themselves and Ron Simmons from Monday's Nitro. They start by telling viewers that they have not spoken to Simmons since Monday's Nitro because according to his own words, they were to stay out of the match against Big Van Vader and leave it to him. When asked about not making the save in the post match attack, Booker T says if Ron thinks he can handle himself in the match against Vader, he should be able to do so after too, and if he can't, then "oh well". Stevie Ray switched to The Road Warriors and the match Thursday night on TBS, saying that is their main focus right now and they intend to finish what they started 3 months ago and make The Road Warriors nothing but a memory for fans. Booker adds that once they get finished their, 2 Cold Scorpio and Marcus Alexander Bagwell had better watch out because they are coming for the WCW Tag Team Titles, and "can you dig that? Sucka."
-- Fifth commercial break --
Promotional Consideration paid for by the following:
- G.I. Joe, good vs. evil, figures and vehicles sold separately
- Mortal Kombat from Akklaim, available for Genesis, Super NES, Game Gear, and Game Boy
- Spiderman and X-Men team up in arcade's revenge, available for SNES and Genesis from Akklaim
Match #4
Johnny B. Badd defeated Lord Steven Regal via pinfall after a sunset flip from the top rope, allowing Badd to advance to the finals of the King of Cable tournament at the Clash of Champions against Dustin Rhodes. During the match, Jean Paul Levesque came ringside looking to interfere, but out came Shane Douglas to drive him away and send him fleeing to the back. Jesse Ventura feels this casts doubt on whatever the outcome would end up being, and the match was now tainted because Douglas had no business being out there. Tony Schiavone asks about Levesque, but Ventura is more defensive of him because he is Regal's protege and should be ringside to study the action. This now sets up the King of Cable finals as Rhodes vs Badd in a rematch from Halloween Havoc.
Harley Race and Yoshi Kwan are interviewed about Kwan's rematch Monday on Nitro with Cactus Jack, well Race is while Kwan stands there. Race tells viewers that the last time these 2 fought, Kwan defeated Cactus and this time around will be no different. Sting had better prepare himself to enter into a handicap match at the Clash of Champions because Cactus will not be a participant by the time Kwan gets done with him. When it gets pointed out that Kwan only won thanks to outside interference last time, Race barks back that Kwan is undefeated in WCW and nobody has put his shoulders to the mat so far and that nobody ever will. Cactus Jack will fall Monday night to the Sleeping Dragon.
Tony Schiavone closes the show by reminding viewers to tune this coming Monday for Nitro on TNT at 8pm eastern, and to come back next week at 6:05 for more WCW on Saturday Night with a special look back at the first 10 Starrcades (aka I will not be writing a show for next Saturday from having to write the Clash for Thursday). Until then, so long!
