Vince McMahon: Welcome everyone to WWF Superstars!!! Welcome to the Mid-Hudson Civic Center!!! Vince McMahon here with Gorilla Monsoon, and Jerry “The King” Lawler and we have a great show for the fans today!

Gorilla Monsoon: THEY ARE HANGING FROM THE RAFTERS VINCE!!!! Today, the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Champions The Quebecers face the young scrappy team The Smoking Gunns in a non title match!!! And if the Gunns can pull off the upset that is sure to put them up there for a title match in the near future!!!

Jerry “The King” Lawler: No way that happen Monsoon, I thought you were a Gorilla, but the more you talk the more I realize you are just a baboon!!!! Those dime store cowboys don’t have what it takes to beat the Quebecers for the WWF Tag Team Titles, they know, YOU know it and even the idiot fans know it!!!


Vince McMahon: Be that as it may, we also have several other great matches! The British Bulldog will be here, as will his brother in law, Bret “The Hitman” Hart. All three men are prime contenders for the World Wrestling Federation Championship currently held by James E. Cornette’s monster, Yokozuna!!!

Jerry “The King” Lawler: I can’t believe what I am hearing!!! There is no way anyone related to that dinosaur Stu Hart will have the ability to dethrone Yokozuna!! NO WAY!!! And you left out the REAL reason people have tuned in today McMahon, besides to hear me of course, the Intercontinental Champion “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels will be here!!!!


Gorilla Monsoon We’ll see how long he can hold onto the Intercontinental Title with men like former Champion Tatanka, and Bret’ baby brother “The Rocket” Owen Hart hot on his heels!!!

Vince McMahon: Nevertheless, Jim Ross will also get an interview with another man that would like to become the WWF Champion again, The Undertaker!!: Don’t go away, when we return,Bret “The Hitman” Hart will be in action!!!!

Bret “The Hitman” Hart with “The Rocket” Owen Hart defeats The Brooklyn Brawler with the Sharpshooter by submission. Vince, Lawler and Gorilla talk about the former WWF Champion being back, and having his brother at his side, Monsoon thinks Bret could be in line for any title here, the WWF Title or even the tag titles with Owen, Lawler disagrees and says that the inbred moron Hart Family shouldn’t even be a part of the WWF.

Intercontinental Champion “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels is in front of his own logo, Michaels says that he is in the World Wrestling Federation with one goal, and that is to become the next WWF Champion, and anyone who gets in his way is going to get their teeth knocked right down their throats, courtesy of Sweet Chin Music! And as for the two men chasing after his title, well he already beat Tatanka for the belt, and Owen Hart? He isn't even going to waste his time talking about him.

Intercontinental Champion “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels defeated Jim Powers with Sweet Chin Music. The match was mostly all Shawn Michaels and a way to showcase his talents and abilities here, though Powers did have a late rally. While Vince and Gorilla both say that they do not like his attitude or the way he goes about things in the ring, they are both quick to agree that he is probably the most talented wrestler in the sport today and that the future is indeed a bright one for the young man. Lawler says that was the first intelligent thing he has heard the two say all day.

The WWF Tag Team Champions The Quebecers are standing in front of their logo. Jacques does all the talking saying that The Smoking Gunns are in over their head, they have been nipping at the Quebecers heels like little dogs for months and today the Quebecers will show them that they do not belong in the ring with the WWF Tag Team Champions!!!!!!

Jim Ross is in the ring and invites out, The Undertaker and Paul Bearer!! Ross shows a clip of a recent house show in Albany, New York when The Undertaker teamed with The British Bulldog to take on Lex Luger and WWF Champion Yokozuna where Taker pinned Yoko after a top rope clothesline. Ross says promoters are lining up to sign Undertaker vs. Yokozuna title matches, but Yokozuna’s manager James E. Cornette is doing everything he can to keep that match from happening. Bearer promises that the Undertaker will not stop at nothing until he once again brings the World Wrestling Federation title back to the Dark Side!!! Bearer says James E Cornette cannot protect Yokozuna from the Undertaker forever, and soon Yokozuna will have to stare across the ring into the eyes of death itself, OOOOOOOOOH YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!

Undertaker then speaks and says that the Reaper of Souls is in the Land of the Titans. Undertaker says that WWF Champion Yokozuna is a man that he will soon take down the river styx, and he promises that he will soon all REST………...IN………….PEACE!!!

The British Bulldog defeats Bastion Booger with a big slam and a falling headbutt, and in doing so, showed off his impressive strength. Vince acted disgusted at some of the thing Booger did, including picking his nose during the match. The match was mostly to get over Bulldog’s power as he fought with Booger , Booger got his shots in, including some out of the ring brawling , so he didn’t look like a total jobber, but this match was really a way to let Bulldog face and defeat a much larger opponent. Booger missed a corner avalanche and stumbled and bumbled into a big slam from the Bulldog the Bulldog then hit a falling headbutt and made the cover for the win. Vince and Gorilla wondered aloud if Bulldog could do the same to the massive WWF Champion Yokozuna, and they debated on who was stronger, Bulldog or “The Total Package” Lex Luger?

The Smoking Gunns, Billy and Bart, are standing in front of their logo. Bart says today they take that next step toward the WWF Tag Team Titles, Billy says they have been chasing the Quebecers, and they have finally caught up to them! It may be a non title match, but they know that if they defeat the Quebecers here on Superstars, then the Quebecers won’t be able to duck giving The Gunns their rightful title shot!!!

The Smoking Gunns pull off a huge upset when they defeat WWF Tag Team Champions The Quebecers in a non title match!!! The Quebecers did hit the Quebec Crash on Bart, but Billy barely broke the count up before the three. Jacques and Carl ran into each other on a miscommunication later and Carl fell out of the ring to the floor, Jacques was subjected to the Sidewinder from the Smoking Gunns, Billy covered and Bart stopped Carl from breaking things up to give the Smoking Gunns the upset non title win!!!!


Lawler can’t believe that the Gunns won and is coming up with all kinds of excuses on how they must have cheated, while Lawler keeps rambling, Vince and Gorilla talk over him, next week here on Superstars, “The Total Package” Lex Luger will be in action, “The Rocket” Owen Hart will be here, even Jerry “The King” Lawler will wrestle here next week, then the featured match will see former Intercontinental Champion Tatanka take on former multi time Tag Team Champion Irwin R. Schyster, plus Jim Ross will interview WWF Champion Yokozuna and his representative James E Cornette, and Ross plans to ask Cornette if they are indeed ducking the Undertaker, don’t miss it!!!

So my goals for this show were:

1) Get out who the Champions are.

2) Play off as if these storylines are on going and why this may be the first show you have seen, you can easily figure out what is going on (Smoking Gunns coming for the Quebecers, Shawn Michaels as IC Champ dealing with Tatanka and Owen Hart, British Bulldog-Lex Luger budding rivalry, is Yokozuna ducking Undertaker? Bret Hart working his way back up the ranks and the coming debut of Jeff Jarrett)

3) Give you a hook, Smoking Gunn win a non title match, footage is shown Undertaker pinning Yokozuna in a tag match and the promise of an interview with Cornette and Yokozuna next week.

4) Because I have a smaller roster, which I am fine with, did I fill the time well enough, competitive squash matches, a main event and several interviews. Being syndication and not a promotion with the means for PPV at the moment, there is no "big show" to build to, so I am instead building the world so to speak.

Nice first effort (with this anyway, seems like you have written before from the looks of it). There are "problems" here for me, but they would be nitpicking things down to my own taste of what I would do. The only 1 really that jumped out in a way was The Quebecers - Jacques and Carl? It is his real name, just feels like Pierre is so much more fitting with that gimmick and team name.

Lots was done early on. The format was fine, and the absence of Raw to focus on Superstars, it is essentially the same show anyway with this format and location so does not really matter that you went that way. The main title came across as important, the non title match put the tag team title into play, plus the mention of several feuds to give guys direction off the bat. Obviously the stuff you mentioned already in your own feedback. If Bret Hart is without feud, there could be worse ideas than pairing him up with Lawler? That was probably the best feud in wrestling in 1993, went unresolved so there is a lot you can bring to it that was not there in reality.

Nothing to do with the show, but a comment in your feedback. I think cutting off PPVs is a huge mistake. I get jumping Survivor Series since it would be in 2 weeks and there is not nearly enough time to make it worth doing, but having them beyond that gives direction and there were only 4 to 5 at this time anyway so it is not really a gigantic chore. If not Royal Rumble, I would hope you at least have it planned to do Wrestlemania X. Something to look forward to as a long term goal to where things culminate and we actually get the big matches helps add excitement to the read week to week. I get that you want to "build the world", but I think you will find that gets accomplished pretty fast, and maybe are even underestimating what you did here, because there are already 3 feuds established and direction for everybody else that had a win or an interview on the show. These are not lesser names that need introductory time or anything, or a place being built from scratch like say Grape's efforts, although even he has PPV like live events.

I plan to get back to Pay Per View with the Royal Rumble, just not going to do Survivor Series, I thought about it, but with the roster size it was hard to come up with a 5 match show that had at least 2 4 on 4 matches. Plus the time to build up to it was going to be a bit quick. I could do Team Taker vs. Team Yoko and Team Luger vs. Team Bulldog, and an IC Title match in there, but then the other two matches would be hard to figure out, esp since it is 18 guys right there, leaving 5 to be booked in 2 singles matches and I doubt people would be lining up to see PJ Walker vs. Repo Man or Jim Powers vs. Brooklyn Brawler on Pay Per View lol.


Yeah I am just used to calling him Carl Oulette for some reason, maybe because that's what he went by in WCW in the late 90's and that is the last name I remember him called by? I'll try to remember to call him Pierre from now on.

I'm kind of in the same boat as JP, in that most of my criticisms would range on the minor nitpicking side of things. As far as the actual structure & format of the show went? I liked it. Brief, enjoyable, but very much right on target for the time frame. I'm actually a pretty big fan of this span in real life - 'cause, although it was saturated in cheese & camp, it also provided many memorable moments and darn good matches at the same time.

Your crew and staff seems true to life. The announcers' dialogue was about as accurate as ya can get with those characters. Channeled them all well enough.

The premise behind most of your programs are simple to follow, which they SHOULD be when ya first open up shop anyhow. Bulldog and Lex pits two powerhouses against each other, and both could actually go when they brought their working boots. So we might be in for more of a treat than we did with - say, Davey and Warlord from real life.

Yoko and Taker always had underrated battles, in my view. I'm cool with ya revisiting the same scenario we got in real life, so long as ya serve it up somewhat differently. Eager to see what unique spin or twist ya give us with it. Something I found interesting in real life was the LACK of participation from their managers. For guys with the track records of Cornette and Pringle, they just didn't feel included or much at all involved with the actual Taker/Yoko feud. Corny has spoken about it in recent years, noting that it was flatter than usual because he posed no threat to Taker, while Bearer clearly wouldn't physically harm or intimidate Yoko either. So they were like two fat men in opposite corners, just standing there and making faces at each other from across the ring. Haha.

From a strictly selfish fan's perspective & my own personal point of view, I'd prefer there to actually be a Survivor Series event. Regardless of whether or not some of the matches felt like throwaways or freebies with next to no buildup, it's still a tradition that a lifelong 'F fan would be stoked to see happen.

You basically just tossed out a lineup already. Team Bulldog versus Team Luger, Team Yoko versus Team Taker, or possibly some low-card guys mingling with your mid-carders for an IC division encounter, etc. Doesn't have to be much. Not to pressure you into action or anything, but I'm just saying - it could be fun, and if nothing else, it could serve as a catalyst to kickoff a few programs or even just serve as a pit-stop 'till the Rumble.

Of course that's more about my desire to see an actual card rather than any notion of an actual "PPV" or anything. As far as all that goes, I really have no preference as to how ya address PPV events, how often ya run 'em, etc. A wrestling card around Thanksgiving that happens to be billed and promoted as the Survivor Series though? Hardly seems too out of the question. Just my two cents.

All in all, there are some maneuverings and character development things I'd probably pick apart (and still probably will at a later date), but for your initial show? Not bad at all, man. I'd say ya accomplished your main objectives. Provided enough of a hook to get me back next week.

Tell you what, I think with what I have set up on this show and what I have set up on the next show I could realistically put a Survivor Series on Thanksgiving Night, and get away with it, as long as you guys indulge me in pretending somethings have been going on and I can recap those in the next show and in the Survivor Series show itself.

Solid stuff, welcome aboard man. Simple but effective stuff throughout. Curious as to why Owen's just out there with Bret though, I'd imagine you're setting up the heel turn I just think with Owen now randomly accompanying Bret to matches against JTTS it's too telegraphed. Really excited you've opted to run the Survivor Series! Should be a fun read!

See there? Even with touches of a thrown-together type treatment, it's still fun to see a Survivor Series card. Agreed with Drew. I'm looking forward to the actual event itself. Should be fun, and if nothing else - gives us a nostalgia trip to kick off your run in the 'F.
