Main Event television starts with Music B from Tetris on the Gameboy while in the background we get blurred generic wrestling action before settling into the television studio and packed house. We go to our hosts, Lolly Dude and Bill Ash.
First a little hyping of the November 28th show from Lawton, Oklahoma ... Thanksgiving Throwdown! before Bill Ash goes on a little rant about last week's show with his former student, Odell Buckingham stealing Treach Phillips Jr.'s title belt after hitting him with it. That is NOT the way Bill Ash trained his students to behave and Odell Buckingham better be aware that there will be some reprecussions and retribution for his actions!
Also on tap for today, the Main Event debut of one Chris Jericho. This kid has all the makings of a superstar and will be in the Main Event today against one tough customer in ring veteran, Omar Atlas. i
Cowboy Johnny Mantell
We head into a commercial break with a video of the in-ring exploits of Cowboy Johnny Mantell, slated to take on Abdullah the Butcher at Thanksgiving Throwdown!.

We come back, ready for action in the ring ...
Cowboy Ray Evans versus Terry Pantera i
The tiny studio wrestler that Pantera is (all 5'9" and 185 pounds of him) enters the ring to Timbuk 3's "The Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades" and is attacked before any ringing of the bell. Evans hammers Pantera before taking his sunglasses and griding them into the mat. Evans with the beatdown on the hapless opponent who gets his shirt shredded as well, even choked by it. With such a thorough pounding, Evans draws a warning from the referee for prolonging things as he pulls Pantera off the mat. Big bulldog finishes the match that should have been put down several minutes earlier.
Ray Evans joins our hosts briefly, wanting to know where all the competition is? He's here to face the biggest and the best but so far, has gotten nothing but duds. Bill Ash says that it is funny he should say that because Cowboy Ray or Ravishing Ray or whatever he's calling himself today, he's got a date at Thanksgiving Throwdown with PLOWBOY WILBUR! Evans' eyes go wide as we head into another commercial break with some of the matches featured on Thanksgiving!

We come back to our hosts and Lolly Dude marks out for Chris Jericho explaining a little of who he is and how the fans are in for a treat when they see him in action. Ash says he's heard of some of his exploits but hasn't seen him in action. Lolly Dude says he'll hook up Ash with some of his tape trading buddies.
As for his opponent, Jericho has drawn a tough one in ring veteran Omar Atlas. Atlas used to wrestle out of San Antonio years ago but most recently up north, even claiming a title. Tough customer versus athletic youngster ... should be a good one!
Omar Atlas versus Chris Jericho
Atlas plays the heel on his way to the ring with the fans, mouthing off the whole way, carrying a title belt over his shoulder. Dude says as far as he knows, this match isn't for any titles. Some stalling from Atlas to start before we get some shoving between the two. Of course, Atlas complains to the referee when Jericho shoves back.
We get underway with some mat wrestling as Atlas goes to work, only to find Jericho up to the task and able to roll just as well. A little back and forth work between the two as the grinning Jericho gives as good as he gets, even putting Atlas' shoulders down for a two count.
The match picks up as our hosts are joined by Treach Phillips Jr. for some commentary. Treach talks up Jericho, having heard good things about this kid. Some ariel tactics that has Atlas bailing from the ring only to be flattened on the outside with a slingshot crossbody block to the floor. You don't see that kind of thing around here often. Atlas comes up holding his lower back while Lolly asks about Treach's title belt having been stolen by Odell Buckingham. Treach says that he's gone to the powers that be to get the belt back but no one has seen hide nor hair of Buckingham, so he's out here right now to challenge him to a match at Thanksgiving Throwdown!
Atlas has slowed things down some with an eye rake that has the fans booing. Jericho takes a bit of a beating but is able to kick out of pin attempts with authority that frustrates Atlas who complains to the referee about slow counts. After being hammered into a corner, Jericho takes several chops before reversing position and opening up on Atlas. Atlas escapes and complains to the referee, allowing Jericho to take him down with a backslide. An escape by Atlas who comes on with a big clothesline that is ducked under. Jericho with a big spin kick to back. Holding his back in pain, Atlas is pushed back into the ropes where he is caught aroud the waist and spun in the air, only to be brought down across Jericho's knee. Tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and Atlas is flat on the canvas. Jumping to his feet, Jericho jumps up onto the second rope and throws himself back, landing on top of his opponent with a picture perfect springboard moonsault. Hooking the leg, Chris Jericho is successful in his Main Event Wrestling debut!
Lolly marks out bigtime, jumping out of his seat as the referee holds Jericho's arm in the air. Dude and Ash wrap up the "Power Half Hour" with a reminder of November 28th's ...

i = info
- Omar Mijares of Caracas, Venezuela began his career in 1958, retiring at the end of 1993. A pretty good hand, Omar worked all over the place under various names Omar Atlas, Buddy Moreno, Super Gladiator, Buddy SIlver Wolf to name a few. He finished his career, mostly as enhancement talent for Vince in the WWF.
On the fantasy side of things, Omar Atlas served as my first champion on another board in a Taz-like role as a no-nonsense tough guy in Eastern Championship Wrestling.
- Terry Pantera, though on the small side as noted above, joined family members, second cousins Buzz and Brett Sawyer in the business. Starting in 1992, Pantera's been active (to this day) throughout the indy scene in Texas and Oklahoma.
