Tony Schiavone: WCW Saturday Night is on the air! Coming to you with the best in professional wrestling over the next hour, I'm Tony Schiavone, joined alongside the 1 and only Jesse The Body Ventura! Tonight, the King of Cable tournament continues with our first match here on Saturday Night in the TBS bracket. It will be Shane Douglas and the TV champion Lord Steven Regal, 1 on 1, but this is not about the TV Title Jesse, but rather the crown.
Jesse Ventura: And who better than to be crowned king than somebody like Lord Steven. He has royalty in his blood Schiavone, and he has proven himself time and again to be a step above the rest. Tonight though, he's being put to the test by Shane Douglas. This guy's hungry to make his mark here in WCW. Something he can do by winning this King of Cable thing, and don't be surprised if whoever wins tonight, wins this whole thing!
Tony Schiavone: And that's not all. We also go back to Nitro this past Monday on TNT. The Nature Boy Ric Flair has upped the ante, putting his career on the line with a challenge for a literal I Quit match at the Clash of the Champions. The Lone Wolf Barry Windham will answer that challenge later tonight.
Jesse Ventura: A big mistake by Flair if you ask me. Windham's got everything going for him right now, and putting your career in that man's hands is a dangerous proposition. He beat him at Halloween Havoc, he's been mentally beating Flair for weeks out here, costing him the WCW Tag Team Title and then that restraining order. I don't like it Schiavone. We may be seeing the last of Flair at the Clash of Champions should Windham accept!
Tony Schiavone: In addition, we will hear from the still together as a tag team Hollywood Blonds, but with their new manager Col. Robert Parker. Seemingly left as dust in the wind a couple weeks back when his previous client was suspended, he looks to be back in the game, but a lot of that depends on if he can hold them together. They'll join us next, plus The Road Warriors are here in tag team action. Stay with us, big night of action to come!
-- First commercial break --
The reunited Hollywood Blonds and Col. Robert Parker are interviewed about the scene from this past Monday on Nitro. Parker tells viewers that these are 2 of the finest wrestlers in WCW and they have shown that when their heads are in it, they can be not just 1 of the top, but the top tag team in WCW and that is where he intends to get them back to. Steve Austin says that the 2 of them have clashed but there is nothing to lose in giving it another shot, and if Parker does not do what he says, he knows that he will end up in the same situation as Brian Pillman. Parker backtracks while Pillman gets talking and says that Austin is right on 1 thing, it will be bad news for Parker if he does not hold up his end, but Austin will be the 1 that pays, not him. Certainly seems like there could still be issues here and that all is not yet resolved.
Match #1
The Road Warriors defeated The Wrecking Crew when Hawk pinned Rage after The Doomsday Device. Dominant win for The Road Warriors against a team in way over their heads here, despite the size of The Wrecking Crew seemingly giving them a shot here. After the 6 man tag team match they were in with Harlem Heat Monday on Nitro saw the 2 tag teams brawl away, the commentators bring up whether 1 of those tag teams could end up being drawn in the Computer Contenders Challenge when 2 Cold Scorpio and Marcus Alexander Bagwell have to defend. Jesse Ventura says that any team could and that is what makes the match so dangerous.
-- Second commercial break --
The Z Man is interviewed about his recent matches with Brad Armstrong on Monday Nitro. Zenk starts by telling viewers that he is disappointed by the recent behavior of his former tag team partner and that his recent change in attitude has taken him in a turn for the worse. The Brad Armstrong he knew would never have faked an injury or used outside interference to win matches and it is a sad day for fans that this has happened. Armstrong himself comes out and says that Zenk's comments are out of jealousy that he is finally having a degree of success around while Zenk's career is in the toilet. This is the new WCW, win by any means, and Zenk can either get with it or get left behind. Zenk answers back that he will never do what Armstrong is doing and sink to this level. Armstrong backs down before going to throw a punch when Zenk lets down his guard. Zenk is ready though, blocks it and fires back. He challenges Armstrong to come on and do this right now, but Armstrong backs away and leaves.
Match #2
Yoshi Kwan defeated Tommy Angel via submission with The Sleeping Dragon. Easy win for the undefeated Kwan as he prepares to step it up with his biggest challenge to date this Monday, a No Holds Barred match with Cactus Jack. After the match Harley Race has Kwan put on the hold again to send a message to Cactus not to mess with the Oriental Assassin. The commentators wonder if Cactus will be adequately recuperated from Halloween Havoc to meet the challenge Monday, posing possible career threatening risks against somebody like Kwan if he is not.

CLASH OF CHAMPIONS CONTROL CENTER
- Eric Bischoff is standing by for the second installment. The event takes place live on TBS on Thanksgiving night, Thursday November 28 at 8:05 eastern from The Bayfront Center in St. Petersburg, Florida. The main event is set to see Ravishing Rick Rude defend the World Title against Rowdy Roddy Piper in a Steel Cage match, following Piper's non title win at the Havoc. In the co main event, Sting and Cactus Jack team up to take on WCW champion Big Van Vader and The Black Scorpion, following recent attacks on Sting by the unknown masked man. Newly signed tonight, The Road Warriors will battle Harlem Heat to settle that rivalry once and for all. A challenge has also been thrown down by The Nature Boy Ric Flair for an I Quit match with Barry Windham, saying that he will quit WCW if he loses. Windham is expected to answer later tonight. More matches to be announced in the weeks to come. The Clash of Champions, live on TBS. Don't miss it!
Match #3
Ron Simmons defeated Lifeguard Steve Collins via pinfall after a lifting spinebuster slam. Inspired by weekend syndicated TV hit show Baywatch, Collins is no David Charvet here, and despite some offensive chances, gets pretty much dominated by Simmons. The commentators talk about Simmons' loss to Ice Train at Halloween Havoc and looking to move past that and back into contention. Tony Schiavone mentions the possible underlying issues brewing with him and Harlem Heat over the possible attack of Thunderbolt Patterson, Jesse Ventura answering back that they have probably not heard the last of it and that there is more to that situation than we probably know right now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tag Team champions 2 Cold Scorpio and Marcus Alexander Bagwell are interviewed about the Computer Contenders Challenge going on here in WCW. Scorpio tells viewers that their focus right now is on a rematch with Bobby Eaton and Chris Benoit, which unfortunately leaves the door wide open because it could be any number of teams from The Road Warriors to Harlem Heat to The Nasty Boys, even The Cole Twins given their recent upset wins. Bagwell says that they do not when, where, or who the computer will draw and that only adds to the chaos, but they are confident that they can defeat any tag team in WCW. It gets brought up that the computer could potentially deliver 2 singles wrestlers as a team in Lethal Lottery style for all any of us know, but the champions will not comment on that. They intend to just go in and fight, defending the titles for all the fans out there, no matter who challenges them.

Match #4
Lord Steven Regal defeated Shane Douglas via count out in a first round King of Cable tournament match, advancing to the second round. Regal's TV Title was not on the line obviously, but the King of Cable was more than enough motivation for Douglas as he looked to win this match and break out from the recent Horseman in training angle that is now dropped cold thanks to the suspension announced 12 days ago. Douglas seemed on the verge of victory as he was in the midst of a fiery baby face comeback when out come Jean Paul Levesque to ringside. Douglas took exception to this, and when he would try tripping Douglas out of sight from the referee, that was it. Douglas left the ring and went after Levesque, chasing him around while Regal slipped out, and as Douglas caught up to Levesque, Regal kneed him from behind into the ring post. Regal slid back in and took the victory, the 2 aristocratic blue bloods maybe making a new enemy in the process. The commentators point out the other interesting scenario where next week Levesque faces Johnny B. Badd in the tournament, and if he wins, would face Regal in the second round.
The Lone Wolf Barry Windham is interviewed about the specific challenge this past Monday on Nitro from The Nature Boy Ric Flair. Windham tells viewers that he thinks this is all a way out for Flair because he knows that he would lose again and it gives him an excuse to walk away from WCW like the coward that he is. He has no intention of giving him that way out because he loves nothing more than to watch Flair squirm and try to survive while Windham circles, predator to prey, waiting to move in. He would love to lock in the iron claw and hear Flair scream out that he quits, but he still needs more. If he is going to do WCW a favor and put Flair out of his misery, doing the dirty work they have wanted for ages, they need to step up and reward him for that. So he is putting out a challenge to J.J Dillon and Ted Turner for Monday on Nitro to step up and give Windham a reason to accept beyond him driving Flair out of WCW a second time and doing their dirty work, this time for good.
Tony Schiavone closes the show by reminding viewers to tune this coming Monday for Nitro on TNT at 8pm eastern, and to come back next week at 6:05 for more WCW on Saturday Night with Johnny B. Badd vs Jean Paul Levesque in a first round King of Cable tournament match. Until then, so long!
