OKLAHOMA! OKLAHOMA! OKLAHOMA! i
Main Event's first foray into television starts with Music B from Tetris on the Gameboy, no less while in the background we get blurred generic wrestling action before settling into the television studio and packed house. We go to our hosts, Lolly Dude and Bill Ash. Dude totally marks out for Ash, reading his wrestling accomplishments. Ash says that Dude had himself a bit of a career in the ring as well but Dude says that it was nothing to cry home about. i
Lots going on today but first a little hyping of the October 31st show from Hugo, Oklahoma ... Halloween in Hugo
We get the lights going on, then off and back on again as "eerie (more like cheesy) Halloween sound effects and music plays as the hosts are joined by Damien Strange, followed by his goon, Horace the Psychopath. Strange makes faces as he says Main Event Wrestling will run crimson, his first victim ... Shane Cortez!
-xxx- COMMERCIAL BREAK -xxx-
We come back, ready for action in the ring ...
Damien Strange w/Horace the Psychopath versus Shane Cortez
What starts as a decent match quickly decends into a squasher when Horace is able to nail Cortez with a forearm to the head while Strange distracts the referee. Strange takes pleasure in beating on the out of it Cortez, refusing to pin him. Lots of warnings from James Beard who is largely ignored, bringing on the boobirds from the fans. Some jawing with the fans for Strange but Shane Cortez isn't coming back in this one and finally is put to sleep with a Russian leg sweep and the creepy Strange slithers across the mat to make the cover.
Strange invites Horace the Psycopath into the ring and the pair put the boots to Cortez after throwing James Beard from the ring. Legendary vet Tom Jones wielding a chair hits the ring and sends Strange and his minion scurrying to the back. Horace wants back in but Damien Strange leads him away.
An angry Jones joins our hosts and says his dance card is empty and he wants a piece of Damien Strange on the 31st at Halloween in Hugo. We head into another commercial break with a rundown of the upcoming Halloween event!

-xxx- COMMERCIAL BREAK -xxx-
The Heavyweight Champion, Treach Phillips Jr. joins the hosts for a bit of a markout fest as Lolly Dude sings the Champion's praises and those of his father, Treacherous Phillips. Bill Ash says he's like a "proud pappa" watching his former students Treach and Odell Buckingham work in the ring. The title belt being on the line just adds another dimension to it all. Ash says he taught all his students how to wrestle the correct way, unlike this Damien Strange character who has no respect for the sport. Lolly Dude reminds everyone that Treach will be in action right here next week in studio. Do not miss it!
We go to the ring for Dino Hernandez and the War Dog versus Tribal Warfare
This one is a squasher as the Native Americans work well together against their flustered opponents.
During the match, The Bon Jovi's Head Groupie, Tammy joins our hosts and promptly proceeds to run down Tribal Warfare and how they'll soon get theirs. Lolly Dude says that so far, Tribal Warfare and the Bon Jovi Boys are very evenly matched. Hernandez gets isolated and worked over as Billy Ray and Running Wolf work some double teaming combos. The War Dog fares no better here. Following a little war dance in the ring, Dino Hernandez is put away with a flying chop off the top while Running Wolf cuts off the War Dog from trying to break it up.
Lolly Dude wraps up the "Power Half Hour" with a reminder of October 31st's ...

i = info
- Lots of television coverage but all low power stations. The program is taped from the KFDX-TV station in Wichita Falls and broadcast out to the low powered stations which cover very small areas and serve the local filler programming.
- Hard to pass up the line from the 1988 Steve Martin and Michael Caine movie Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels. The irony here is that despite largely being an Oklahoma promotion, television is taped in Texas.
- Announcer Lolly Dude AKA Lollie Griffin enjoyed some success in the squared circle as Crybaby Francis Buxton, a gimmick that he would cry home to momma about. Besides wrestling, Griffin also did some announcing and promoting in Louisana and Mississippi along with Texas.
