On today’s debut broadcast we will be hearing from some of the great talent that will call Smoky Mountain home as well as plenty of ring action, and with that Bob sends it to Les Thatcher at ringside

Dixie Dynamite and Steve Armstrong vs. The Infernos

The Inferno’s jump Dynamite and Armstrong as they enter the ring, but receive dual dropkicks for their troubles. Double clothesline sends #1 to the floor, double back elbows sends #2 to the floor and the Ballroom is hot for Dynamite and Armstrong who go on to dominate the Inferno’s finishing off #2 with a double top rope shoulder block.

Bob Caudle is joined by none other than “Captain Redneck” Dick Murdoch! As The Genius refuses to interview a man who glorifies the bottom rung of society! The good captain says he feels right at home here in the Smokies and that he has heard an old nemesis of his, that no good rascal Dick Slater would be around, but not for long if the Captain has anything to say about it! Murdoch says that he is here for the Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Title and that Dick Slater, Mr. Fuji and his slant eyed goons had better watch out, cuz the Captain is here to keep order in Smoky Mountain Wrestling!

The Genius meanwhile is standing with “The Tennessee Stud” Ron Fuller and his main charge “Loverboy” Denis Condrey, who say that Murdoch better not be worried about Slater or the Japanese, that if its Smoky Mountain gold he is after, the Stud Stable would be his main source of concern. The Stud says he has the best stable in wrestling, the Loverboy is the most technically sound wrestler to ever step foot in Knoxville, and that he has found a young up and coming tag team that will wreak havoc wherever they please!

Mongo Vyle and Crash the Terminator w/The TN Stud vs. The Galaxians

And this one is over before it starts, Vyle is just that in the ring, vile beating Alpha down before turning him over to his partner Crash who comes flying off the top rope with a devastating elbow drop 1.....2.... and NO! Crash lifts up his man and lets out a very demented laugh as he throws Alpha into his corner demanding Omega to come in. Omega is tentative but comes in when Crash allows him the first punch, followed by laughter and a highly impressive standing dropkick from the big youngster. In comes Mongo Vyle dropping elbows and planting Omega with a massive Power Bomb, quick tag Crash the Terminator ascends to the top rope again, Leg Drop and this one is history

Les Thatcher: Ladies and Gentlemen your winners, Loverboy Denis steps in and takes the mic from Thatcher and allows The Tennessee Stud to declare his boys Mongo Vyle and Crash the Terminator the victors and the Stud assures us all that man more bodies will fall in the wake of the Stud Stable!

Chic Donovan, “Hustler” Rip Rogers, and Frankie Lancaster, The Ravishing Bodies vs. Kendall Windham, “Wildcat” Wendell Cooley and Tommy Angel

This one is a barn burner, the Ravishing Bodies really put on a tag team clinic when they had Tommy Angel in their corner, but the youngster was able to bob, weave, and roll to make the tag to the “Wildcat” who comes in delivering dropkicks like they were newspapers and the Bodies are quickly regrouping!

Now the big texan following in his father and brother’s footsteps, Kendall Windham is in with the Hustler, and shows off his agility for his size, only to be side stepped by the ever thinking Rip Rogers, there isn’t a trick this vet doesn’t know and he is really putting it to Kendall and fires him into the Bodies corner where Lancaster and Donovan work over Windham, but Cooley and Angel are having none of it and rush the corner

KATIE BAR THE DOOR! This one has erupted and Randy Anderson has his hands full calls for the bell throwing this one out! The Ravishing Bodies tuck tail, and point fingers as Windham, Cooley, and Angel stand tall in the ring.

The fans are cheering as the trio joins Les Thatcher at ringside, Wendell Cooley says he knows for sure he is in the right place if that is the kind of action he can expect here in Smoky Mountain. Kendall Windham says his big brother and his dad have both made their way through eastern Tennessee and have told him how hot the action was, and it was all that and more. Kendall and Wendall say they think they have what it takes to be tag team champions and with friends like Tommy Angel watching their back they know they wont have to worry with pests like Mr. Fuji, Downtown Bruno, or Ron Fuller

Speaking of Downtown Bruno he joins The Genius for an interview and in tow is the Monsterous Moadib, The State Patrol, and “his crown jewel” “Hollywood” Bob Holly. Bruno says that all these hillbillies should be thanking their lucky stars that Sandy Scott somehow managed to get him to agree to come to Knoxville, TN because when you are the manager of the hottest young star in all of wrestling Bruno could’ve taken “Hollywood” anywhere! Bruno instructs Lt. James Earl Wright and Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker to do their civic duty and the duo begins handing out tickets to all the ringside fans, much to the amusement of the Genius

Mr. Caudle has no idea what the State Patrol are issuing tickets to the fans for but apologizes for the antics of Downtown Bruno as he sends it to ringside and Les Thatcher

Moadib w/Downtown Bruno vs. The Rocky Top Rebel

And this one is over before it starts as quiet man from Northern Africa nearly decapitates the Rebel with a clothesline, lifts the lifeless corpse up off the mat, hoist him over his shoulder, runs him into the turnbuckle and locks him in the tree of woe. Moadib flies, headbutt delivered, with Bruno directing traffic the massive Moadib double underhook power bomb’s Rocky Top Rebel into oblivion for the quick and violent 3 count

Les Thatcher: Ladies and Gentlemen your winner in under 3 minutes Moadib

The Genius is ecstatic saying this Moadib might be the most manly man he has ever laid eyes on and Bob Caudle is worried as Rocky Top Rebel gets carried out on a stretcher. “Fans I wish I could say that would be the last of Downtown Bruno and his dastardly crew, but when we return “Hollywood” Bob Holly will be in action

Sitting in a locker room is Stan “the Lariat” Hansen! Hansen says that he is coming to Knoxville real soon and that he is coming with a mission and that mission is to take the Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Title and to finally get his hands on Mr. Fuji’s crew. Hansen says that he has tracked Tenryu from one side of the globe to the other and that Tenryu is bad, but not as bad as the big man from Borger, TX and he hopes that Smoky Mountain fans and officials know what they have signed up for when they signed Stan Hansen cuz it wont be pretty EEEUUUUUWWWWW!

“Hollywood” Bob Holly w/Downtown Bruno and Moadib vs. Chris Youngblood w/Mark Youngblood

The Renegade Warriors are sure to be one of the top tag teams here in Smoky Mountain Wrestling but today the youngest of the Youngbloods has his hands full with Mr. Holly. We see a back and forth contest, a real give and take battle that gets a little too even for Bruno’s liking as he distracts the referee and sends Moadib to catch Chris off guard with a clobbering blow to the kidneys that drops the Renegade Warrior, big brother Mark quickly comes around the corner and is battling the monstrous Moadib! Holly delivers a picture perfect dropkick right to the teeth of a reeling Chris Youngblood, but Chris is able to kick out just in the nick of time. And “Hollywood” is arguing with the count.

Mark and Moadib have taken it to the streets so to speak and are all over the Ballroom. O NO! Here comes the State Patrol! More interference leads to Bob Holly catching Chris Youngblood in the stump puller, and the Native American has no choice but to submit!

Bob Caudle says it took 4 men for Bob Holly to pick up the victory while the Genius disagrees saying it was victory taken by force, and that the Native Americans should be used to that! Mark is finally able to check on his brother as Kendall Windham, Wendell Cooley, Dixie Dynamite, and Steve Armstrong run off Downtown Bruno and his crew.

Bob Caudle tells the fans that it was sure a wild one here today and he hopes they enjoyed the action, that next week we will hear from Smoky Mountain President Sandy Scott and his plans for the Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Championship as well as the American debut of Mr. Fuji’s Pearls of the Orient Hase and Tenzan and more action

Wow! This first show was awesome!

You completely captured the old Smoky Mountain feel. You are doing a much better job then I was going to do with SMW. I shudder at the thought.

I wasn't completely sold at the Genius being an announcer at first but by the end of the broadcast I loved it. He plays off Bob Caudle so well and I like how he wanted nothing to do with "Captain Redneck" but then went over and interviewed Fuller.

This show was like a map pointing us where you are headed. The SMW Heavyweight Title tournament is going to be huge with a lot of big names in it. I have no idea who to pick as winner. You've got Murdoch, Slater, the Armstrongs, Moadib, the Bodies, and Hansen all vying for the title.

I also liked how each manager got to introduce their little group. I like Bruno's group the most with "Hollywood" Bob at the helm. Seeing him utilize his textbook picture perfect drop kick was a treat.

The Armstrongs were the absolute perfect choice to open the card with. All that's missing is ole Bullet Bob.

I hope we get to see some more tag team wrestling because Smoky Mountain was all about the teams. I always thought it was great to see real, actual tag teams main eventing shows.

Fuller and Condrey is quite a pair although I think Condrey would be wise not to piss off Dick Murdoch.

The main event was a lot of fun and I'm thinking that Bob Holly is going to be a big part of this. I'm all for that.

Really fantastic show. I wish you were apart of the NWA! THIS feels like SMW.

Thanks for the feedback guys, if you are a fan of tag team wrestling then Smoky Mountain will be the place for you. I'm from MS, grew up on southern rasslin, loved the real Smoky Mountain which was a Tag Team territory if there ever was one. And I lucked out getting the roster I got.
Got basically my entire roster onto the show with the absence of Fuji but he was talked about, but i cant wait to write for Tenryu, Hase, and Tenzan. Hiroshi Hase was one of the very best wrestlers in the world in 92, Tenzan was green but thats what makes the team interesting.

"Hollywood" Bob Holly was one of my favorite parts of the real Smoky Mountain, I felt like he really could've been a champion there with a mouthpiece, course the WWE came calling early with him and we didn't even get to see him in a real feud.

And Chief is right I have alot of big names vying for the title heck I aint even sure what I want to do yet! Holly, Condrey, Hansen, Tenryu, Murdoch, Moadib, Slater.

I just couldn't wait to get this first show up get a feel for a format, get a feel for Caudle, Poffo, Thatcher. Its been a long time since I've been this excited about fantasy booking.

I really want you guys opinion on the format of the show, anything about the layout ya'll didn't like I'm wide open for suggestions.

I like severla things here. First, I always loved the Captain Redneck personna. Seeing Murdoch going against Slater and, perhaps, teaming with Hansen against Fuji's guys really whets my appetite. I applaud the role you have for Moadib. Vyle and Crash being with Fuller could really spell tag gold. Marking out for Hollywood Holly. Hope he rises to the top.

Welcome aboard my friend. This was a great first show man. Nice blend of area favorites like the Armstrongs & what appear to be pet projects in guys like early Bubba & Crash. Good use of vets like Murdoch and Slater too. And "Hollywood" Holly should fit the area quite nicely. Super excited for Stan Hansen coming in, could be fun.

Quick thing in reference to Tenzan, I should point out that in '92 into '93 he was still a Jr. heavyweight and hadn't yet put the weight on or wrestled like the Tenzan you MAY or MAY not be trying to pull off. He was built similar to Taka even, and didn't show much in the ring. He was in Europe around '93 and slowly started to get into weight training building to his return to NJPW as a heavy.

Still great show, and terrific use of Fuller BTW. Perfect antagonist for the area.

Well ... you're obviously stoked and enthusiastic to say the least. You just signed up and cranked out a card, so that says a lot right there. That is always a good thing and by your own admission, you are holding on to the "pieces of the puzzle" that you wanted. Another important thing that should shine in your writing of the territory.

While Tennessee continues to fill up with rasslin' from east to west and all points between, lots of room for it and a ton of guys that fit the area as evidenced by our three solid rosters. SMW looks solid through and through and if your focus is going to be on tag teams, you should be able to find something you like in wrestling out of Tennessee.

You have a solid announce team though I'll admit to not being a big fan of "The Genius" in real life. Caudle and Thatcher will do the job well.

Nice to see some of the Armstrongs in the area and a good start for them with a win over the Infernos. Hopefully you can add Bob and the others.

You have a good dose of ring vets in Murdoch, Slater, Condrey and Hansen to give you some name recognition right off the bat and Ron Fuller as a recognizable mouthpiece to stir the pot and rile up not only the faces of the territory but the fans as well.

Looking forward to what you do with some of the younger guys in Vyle, Crash and Holly. Is Vyle in biker persona here?

I'll be getting into the details of Vyle's character as we go on because I gotta be honest I'm not real sure what I want to do with him, he and DeMott are youngsters and they need a stable and a mouthpiece, and I go back and forth on whether or not I like a biker from Hell's Kitchen in The Tennessee Stud's Stable. And Mongo Vyle is a strange enough name I can paint his face a bit with Crash and call em the Terminators.

Tell me what you think. Bubba is young enough at this point that I can do anything I want with him. Crash and Vyle the Terminators, Crash and Mongo, or full out Biker and make him a baby Bully Ray, biker chain and all.

I was crunk bout my roster I through the show together, I know what direction I want to head but I have a ton of details I still gotta iron out, and feedback can sway me easily, I aim to please

You gotta decide on what you want to do with them, either face painted or as bikers. When reading them together, I thought you could go either way though it is a little odd to see either way under Fuller's tutelage.

Sometimes the details take time and have to throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks.

Man oh man, Tennessee is totally filled to the brim with a solid supply of southern fried 'rasslin' lately! Plenty of variety & options for the local fans in that region. And I've got to say, this was a phenomenal first show. You've got all the right players, familiar faces, and popular acts to set this train on the right track instantly. Big thumbs up for the roster you've compiled right from the start, man.

I'm stoked about Stan Hansen's role here. The big, rugged outlaw coming into town like John Wayne blazing a trail, calling out the toughest gunslingers & all that, is just gold. Great storytelling potential with his character. Always did enjoy the Bad Man From Borger. He'll fit this area like a glove, for sure.

And I'm a die-hard mark for Dick Murdoch. You'll find that out fast. You captured Captain Redneck quite well in this first promo from him. He's anything but politically correct, so I like that you sort of found a way to feature that with Fuji's troops & everything.

On that note, I like the variety in the competition here. You've got everything from a GREAT emphasis on tag teams - with risk takers & brawlers - to the strong style combatants, the southern style veterans, the rookies still adjusting & learning the craft, and so on. It's a really nice blend of everything.

I quickly took to your commentary team. The Genius seems like an odd fit at first, but I dig what you're doing with the guy. His reactions & remarks about all the performers really enhanced the whole experience for me. I'm not sure many other heel announcers could have done justice to the same type of thing. So kudos for making the most of Poffo in this capacity. It's a lot of fun thus far. His reaction to Hansen & the remarks about the Native Americans were particularly enjoyable.

Again, I like the emphasis on tag teams here. It's awesome to see the Ravishing Bodies rising back to prominence. Wildcat is a very versatile performer to have on board as well. But I think I'm most excited about your use of all the great MANAGERS here, man. You have an abundance of talent in that department.

Managers are just a tried & true piece of the pro wrestling puzzle, and I'm stoked that you're going to capitalize on that. Each agent already having numerous guys enlisted & under their employ gives a real satisfying sense that you've got plans already mapped out. That's good to see.

Never cared for the Moadib stage name in real life, but I'm loving the treatment for him here. Under any given name, Ahmed is a freaking force of nature with this method of booking. Can't wait to see what you do with him. He's already looking like a beast unleashed. Matching him up against the likes of Hansen (further down the road, mind you) could make for an epic encounter. Keep this coming.

I'm a big fan of Hollywood Bob also. Cool to see that he'll be something of a featured performer here. That's one way to keep me reading, for sure.

In dealing with the team of Crash & Mongo, I'd probably go for the bikers approach with them. I just find that the face-painted Terminators route feels like a hard sell as part of the Stud Stable. They'd stand out like sore thumbs next to the Stud. As bikers, yeah. It doesn't exactly "mesh" with the image & everything for a Stud Stable group, but there are biker gangs in the south. Plenty of them, in fact. All you have to do is sort of play up that concept - like these are the bikers that go from bar to saloon & back again, kicking up dust & causing trouble. Just have them pick fights. Sort of like the Bruise Brothers, but with a different slant to 'em.

As far as the layout & format goes, I like what you're doing already. The matches, intertwined with just enough fun bits of commentary & inserted promos to introduce and establish your talent, is the right way to go. It keeps things moving at an energetic pace. Good stuff through & through, man. My only suggestions for improvement are all about the visual presentation - graphics, images, pics, etc.

True. They're not exactly necessary or anything. But hey. They go a long way in giving the posts & lively feel and glossy look. Something to look into if you get the time maybe. That's all.

Thanks savage I appreciate that. I really like the idea of Crash and Mongo as bikers version of the Outlaws, I can play up some vignettes off that and have alot of fun with it. I agree either direction seems odd in the Stud Stable, but Denis Condrey is the perfect fit as a single, I contemplated putting Moadib the North African monster with him and play up the race deal, but I decided to have a different guy as the silent muscle for the Stable, he wasn't on this show, but Crash and Mongo need a mouth piece and Bruno with the State Patrol was just too good to pass up, IMO.

But one vignette of Ron Fuller finding these guys outside a biker bar whoopin ass and bringin them to Knoxville seems like the right way to go. I am stoked about the roster I got for all the reasons you mentioned Savage. I got young guys, I got veterans, I got Jr's, I got Japanese Strong Style, I got tried and true southern guys, I got Bob Caudle.
