Tony Schiavone: Saturday Night is on the air! Coming to you on TBS, the #1 weekend wrestling show anywhere, this is WCW wrestling. I'm Tony Schiavone, joined by Jesse The Body Ventura, and what a main event we have in store for you tonight. Hot off an action packed Monday Nitro, it will be The Natural Dustin Rhodes and Johnny B. Badd teaming up to take on The Masters of The Power Bomb, Sid Vicious and the WCW champion Big Van Vader.
Jesse Ventura: What a fight that's gonna be! You know, I remember the summer, those great battles that Dustin Rhodes and Sid had over the U.S. title. There was no real resolution there between them. A lot of unfinished business that stems from Sid taking that belt from him, and then you combine that with what we saw on Monday between Johnny B. Badd and Vader, and I think you have the makings of a big time match, right here, on Saturday Night!
Tony Schiavone: Indeed it is. Also a look back to Monday, and the conclusion of Nitro. You won't want to miss that. In addition, there are new WCW Tag Team champions, Beautiful Bobby Eaton and Chris Benoit, and they will be here, as will the man that helped them win the belts, The Lone Wolf Barry Windham.
Jesse Ventura: And you gotta wonder Schiavone, what association is going on there? If any! Was that the start of something, or was Windham just out for himself? Getting revenge on The Nature Boy Ric Flair. We'll find out, won't we?, ha!
Tony Schiavone: And when we come back, we will hear from the new champions, plus speaking of champions, the U.S. champion Ice Train is here in action. Stay tuned, a big night of action here on the superstation.

The new WCW Tag Team champions Beautiful Bobby Eaton and Chris Benoit are out with Scotty Flamingo. Eaton starts by telling viewers that he is the best tag team wrestler of all time and this just further proves the theory, winning the gold yet again, and this time doing it with a young, hungry wrestler as his partner. Everybody had written him off, but the titles show he can still go and is among the best. Benoit continues that this is the first of what will be many championships for him in WCW and together, they will hold the belts for a long time because they are the best "damn" technical wrestlers in WCW today. Finally Flamingo comes in to brag that he fooled everybody when he announced his retirement because everybody figured he was gone and finished, but it was merely a retirement from the ring so that he could focus on being the manager of champions. With him captaining the ship, Eaton and Benoit will hold these titles for a long time to come.
Match #1
Ice Train defeated Chris Sullivan via pinfall after a scoop powerslam in a non title match. The U.S. champion dominates this 1 coming off of his Nitro match with Sid Vicious. The commentators wonder who will be next in line for a shot, Tony Schiavone then mentioning that Ice Train himself has requested time this coming Monday on Nitro to challenge somebody himself. Jesse Ventura thinks Train could end up a puff champion and try to name somebody like Chris Sullivan here his next challenger, but he will find out quickly that is not how things work here in WCW. During the match, talk of the end of Nitro also comes up, with the Mr. Nanny trailer, with Ventura taking a shot at Turner and Hulk Hogan saying they air that for free, but his movie Demolition Man coming out, they will not give the time of day to without charging an arm and a leg to air it, but they will see who gets the last laugh when Variety comes out with the box office numbers.
-- Second commercial break --
2 Cold Scorpio and Marcus Alexander Bagwell are interviewed about the changing of the guard with the WCW Tag Team title. Scorpio starts by congratulating Bobby Eaton and Chris Benoit, even if it was under questionable circumstances thanks to Scotty Flamingo and Barry Windham's interference, but warns them not to get too attached to the titles because there is a long list of tag teams looking for a shot and the 2 of them are right near the top. Bagwell says that it is a time for a history lesson, a step back to Fall Brawl when the 2 of them defeated Eaton and Benoit so they know they can get the job done and they intend to do it again. They do not care who gets lined up before them, whether The Nasty Boys, The Hollywood Blonds, Harlem Heat, even The Road Warriors, they will go through anybody and everybody to get to their eventual goal.
Match #2
The Nasty Boys defeated Big Sky and The Gambler when Saggs pinned Gambler after an elbow drop off the top rope, following a powerslam by Knobbs. To follow up on the earlier comments, the commentators talk about the tough road that lies ahead for Eaton and Benoit, with so many teams gunning for that next shot. Jesse Ventura points out that Ric Flair and Arn Anderson must have a rematch clause of some sort, but Tony Schiavone could see them foregoing that given Flair is focused on getting his hands on Barry Windham, but perhaps Anderson could team with a Shane Douglas in looking for that shot.

HALLOWEEN HAVOC CONTROL CENTER
- Eric Bischoff is standing by for the second installment. The event takes place live on PPV in 3 weeks time on Sunday October 27 from The Lake Front Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana. WCW Heavyweight title action with Sting challenging Big Van Vader for the gold. Sting lost the belt to Vader at The Bash at The Beach in a 3 way, now is his chance 1 on 1 to regain it. Rowdy Roddy Piper returns to WCW to take on Ravishing Rick Rude in a grudge match following Rude's attack of Piper back in August at the Clash of Champions. Can Piper finally be the 1 to tame Rude? Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal returns as Cactus Jack's challenge has been answered and he will take on Sid Vicious. What will the match be? A spin of the wheel will determine it the night of. Also, just signed in the last few days, it is now official. After his interference in the WCW Tag Team title match, it will be 1 on 1 to settle the score, The Nature Boy Ric Flair and The Lone Wolf Barry Windham. It was a year ago at Halloween Havoc 1992 that this feud started, and now they will look to end it. More matches will be announced in the coming weeks. Halloween Havoc, Sunday October 27, live on PPV. Don't miss it!
Match #3
Shane Douglas defeated Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker with a Belly to Belly Suplex. Douglas took a verbal lashing Monday on Nitro from Ric Flair and Arn Anderson for his failure to act during the Tag Team title match that saw them lose the belts from outside interference, but Anderson took responsibility for it because it was as much their fault for putting trust in somebody they had none for as it was Douglas. Jesse Ventura feels that if he is a Horseman in training, that snafu has to have cost him big and it is only a matter of time before he gets kicked to the curb. Tony Schiavone thinks otherwise as it was a lesson learned and Douglas likely would not make that same mistake again.

Diamond Dallas Page is interviewed about his supposed arm injury that prevented him from wrestling The Studd this past Monday on Nitro. DDP tells viewers that not being wrestlers themselves, none of the fans would understand how taxing the schedule can be and that sometimes, injuries happen at the most inopportune times. He would have loved nothing more than to have shown The Studd just who is boss, and fortunately Yoshi Kwan was able to step in at the last minute and do it for him. Asked about a future meeting between him and The Studd in the ring, DDP avoids answering by saying that The Studd first has to survive his rematch with Yoshi Kwan this Monday because so far, Kwan has not only defeated everybody put before him, but sent them packing and Studd may not be around when his arm is fully healed up. As for a timeline, DDP says that he suffered the injury last week when that idiot Studd was chasing him around, but there is no definitive return date yet.

Match #4
Big Van Vader and Sid Vicious defeated Dustin Rhodes and Johnny B. Badd when Vicious pinned Badd after a powerbomb. Competitive match that saw The Masters of The Power Bomb show some problems that gave Rhodes and Badd chances to capitalize, although unsuccessfully as seen by the result. Harley Race and Col. Robert Parker were able to get cooler heads to prevail and their team to get back onto the same page. After the match, Rhodes was attacked from behind and sent to the outside where Sid followed to brawl, meanwhile Vader delivered a Vader Bomb to Badd, giving way to possible injury combined with the damage from Monday on Nitro in his singles match with the WCW champion. Rhodes got in there with a chair and cleared the ring, but Badd was left laying. Jesse Ventura wonders if the same thing will happen to Sting this Monday on Nitro when he takes on Sid Vicious, in that it could all be a trap by The Masters of The Power Bomb to get him taken out before Halloween Havoc. Tony Schiavone points out that while Cactus Jack could be an equalizer, there is a possible wild card in the form of "Brother Brutus", maybe even Hulk Hogan if 1 is to believe his story spun Monday on Nitro to get himself a lucrative contract.
The Lone Wolf Barry Windham gets interviewed, talking about his surprise appearance Monday on Nitro when he was thought to be in Japan defending his title. Windham tells the viewers that he went to Japan only to find out after a long flight, he had a title defense right then and there, losing the title in a situation that he blames on WCW commissioner J.J. Dillon and New Japan president Antonio Inoki, who will get his in due time. As such, if he was not going to have gold though, neither was Ric Flair, Dillon's "golden boy", the best revenge he knew to get on him. Now the match is finally signed for Halloween Havoc, a match that Flair had been ducking and avoiding for months now. As far as Shane Douglas this Monday on Nitro goes, Windham intends to use him as an example, a message for Flair of what is to come and to show the world that once a Horseman, always a Horseman, and nobody can replace Barry Windham.
Tony Schiavone closes the show by reminding viewers to tune this coming Monday for Nitro on TNT at 8pm eastern, and to come back next week at 6:05 for more WCW on Saturday Night. Until then, so long!
