An awesome detailed video package airs, kicking off with
Keiji Mutoh & Masahiro Chono's history going as far back as their debut year in '86, their run as IWGP tag team champions, & their epic 1991 G1 final that saw Chono come up on top. From there we've got the start of the blood feud, with Mutoh's knee getting destroyed back on January 4th at the Dome leading to a Chono victory, his return as Muta, and clips of his "Quest For Vengeance" filled with victories over both Hell Raisers, Kojima, & of course Hiromichi Fuyuki bringing us to THIS very night! Tonight the blood feud comes to it's epic conclusion in our MAIN EVENT!

This gets clipped heavily, but the general idea is still there... Fuyuki & Awesome just can't get on the same page & argue throughout the bout. In your final moments Awesome takes Machine off the top turnbuckle and onto his shoulders for an Awesome Bomb, BUT Fuyuki tags himself in blindly! Awesome Bomb connects.. Awesome looks for the cover..

And Fuyuki's there to tap him on the shoulder and let him know he's now legal! Awesome's HAD A FREAKING 'NUFF of this "SHIT" as he would put it and boots Fuyuki in the face! Ace is in and gets into it with Fujinami trading blows back and forth before being sent out of the ring off a Fujinami right hand to the heart! Williams tries to make a move for Fujinami, wild swing Fujinami ducks and gets behind him, BACKDROP SUPLEX HOLD! The official has to remind Fujinami he's not legal so we've got no pin. Fujinami slowly rolls himself to the floor, holding at his shoulder as Kido begins to slowly pull himself towards the corner where Fujinami is now waiting on the tag! Fujinami now with a wild series of open hand slaps to the chest backs Ace into the corner, IRISH WHIP IS REVERSED! NO! Ace is nearing the ropes and nearing his breaking point at the very same time, BUT HE'S ABLE TO GET HIS FOOT UNDER and we've got a break! Doesn't get any closer than that! Meanwhile outside, Kido & Williams are both down! Fujinami has Ace in the corner and goes all North American with a mount bringing the punches... AND HERE COMES HIS ARCH RIVIAL DR. DEATH TO SNATCH HIM OUT OF MID FREAKING AIR AND SPIKE HIM ON HIS HEAD WITH A BACKDROP DRIVAHHHHHHH!!!
Williams himself is slow to recover and here comes Kido to help him to his feet and TRY to fire him off into the ropes, it's reversed and Kido gets taken out on the rebound with a shoulder from the good Dr.! With on the outside now, a smiling Doc ignores the officials warning and sends Ace to the top rope as he starts to pick Fujinami up by the hair. Fujinami's hoisted onto Doc's shoulders, and Ace BUST OUT A DOOMSDAY DEVICE WITH FUJINAMI SELLING IT LIKE FREAKING DEATH!! It took some out of Ace as well, so he's slow to cover as Doc rest in the corner selling the abuse he's taken here tonight..

Kido then blocks a shot from Ace and takes him down with one of his own, BUT KEEP YOUR EYES ON DOC WHO CHARGES TAKING HIS FOE OUT WITH A RUNNING DROPKICK!! IMPRESSIVE DISPLAY OF AGILITY FROM A 300 POUNDER RIGHT THERE FANS! Doc now snatches up Fujinami and sets him up for another backdrop driver.. NO KIDO BREAKS IT UP WITH A DROPKICK TO THE KNEE! Williams rolls to the floor holding at his knee as Kido rolls towards his corner. Ace now to the top, motioning for another flying clothesline... NO FUJINAMI CATCHES HIM IN MID AIR WITH A DROPKICK TO THE FACE!!!!!
Both men are slow to their feet and once we get there Fujinami's kicking at the legs and scores with a few slaps to each side of the neck! ACE ANSWERS BACK WITH A BOOT TO THE JAW! Ace TRIES FOR ANOTHER BOOT BUT GETS CAUGHT... DRAGON SCREW LEGWHIP FROM FUJINAMI!! DRAGON SCREWLEGWHIP!!!
Fujinami's slow to follow up and when he does it's with a cover, as we show Williams on the outside still holding at his knee...

Doc let's go and charges at Fujinami, lariat is ducked and FUJINAMI KICKS THE LEG RIGHT UNDER 'EM! Fujinami now drops to the outside pulling Doc's leg across the apron ready to ram it... but the 1993 G1 Climax winner can't make it happen as Doc uses his feet to shove Fujinami into the guardrail! Fujinami TRIES AGAIN but suffers the same fate! Fujinami's on him again, as Kido connects with an enziguri and FOLLOWS IT UP WITH THE KIDO CLUTCH!

Both men are down and out now.. and out on the floor Fujinami and Williams look just about the same here... Fujinami makes a comeback off a few punches and with Doc pinned up against the ring post he charges... AND DOC MOVES AND FUJINAMI'S BAD SHOULDER CONNECTS WITH THE POST!! Doc now ACTS QUICK ramming that shoulder into the post one more time!
In the ring Ace begins to move, as does Kido... Kido's behind him.. waist lock... NO ACE COUNTERS TO AN ACE CRUSHAHHHHHHHH!! ACE CRUSHAHHHHHH!!! He can't cover though!! Ace is to out of it to cover... Kido is down... OUTSIDE the ring, Williams has Fujinami set up.... POWERSLAM OUT ON THE FLOOR! POWERSLAM OUT ON THE FLOOR! Doc now rolls in and sets up in the corner urging Ace... TAG IS MADE!

Once his hood comes off, it's revealed he's banadaged up pretty badly from the match with Hiroshi Hase just days ago, as mentioned it took 16 staples to close the wound, but make no mistake about it in Muta's mind, he's 100 freaking PRECENT. Chono's introduced first, to a mixed response. Muta follows and we've got a huge reaction as he blows red mist into the air!

We meet in the center of the ring, where we exchange words. I have no idea what's being said, but it appears to be heated. Chono motions for Muta to give him his best shot, AND WHAMO Muta let's him have it with a slap across the mouth! Muta now gives up HIS chin and CHONO let's him have it with a slap! Chono now, MUTA WITH A RIGHT HAND! Muta now gives up the chin, AND CHONO hits him with a right! Muta shakes it off and BOTH MEN HIT SIMULTANEOUS RIGHT HANDS TO THE SIDE OF THE FACE!
They shake it off before circling a bit. Lock up see's Chono gauge at Muta's eyes setting up a scoop slam! He's quickly off the ropes as Muta pulls himself to his knees and EATS A YAKUZA KICK FOR HIS TROUBLES! Chono pulls Muta to his feet and quickly shoots him off into the ropes... Muta ROLLS UNDER a Yakuza kick and catches Chono by surprise with a jumping solebutt! Chono pops right up holding his chest, and we get a round of applause from the fans. Here we go, lock up.. Muta goes to the eyes this time to set up a chop to the back of the head! He jabs a set of fingers to the forehead on the follow up! Irish whip coming up, NO Chono reverses and scores with a samoan drop on the rebound! Chono starts to pull on the bandages but Muta does a good job defending, so Chono hits the ropes... YAKUZA KICK SENDS MUTA THRU THE ROPES AND TO THE FLOOR!
Muta walks it off on the outside, playing with his bandages a bit, re-adjusting as our official keeps Chono at bay. Muta's now looking under thing ring for something, he finds a small step ladder as Chono's to the floor now looking for something on the other side... Muta doesn't seem that impressed by the ladder and keeps looking for another object to use. Got a feeling the officials about to lose control here. Chono gives up and heads back, and within seconds Muta's back in the ring without any plunder. Lock up see's Muta grab a side headlock, slowly bringing Chono to his knees. Chono tries to shake him off and make it to a vertical base, but Muta takes him down to the mat with a side headlock takedown, Chono however QUICKLY reverses to a headscissors!
While in the hold, Chono again tries to loosen those bandages as Muta tries to cover up... he's close to the ropes so Muta drapes his legs under forcing a break and Chono comes up empty handed in his quest to re-open that wound. Chono DOESN'T break clean, instead rest his knee on Muta's throat for a bit before scoring with a stomp on the break. Muta rolls to the floor to slow things down, and to look for plunder. Not finding anything still, he rolls back in the ring for some circling. We lock fingers for a test of strength style lock up, neither man is giving an inch so Muta strikes first with a kick to the gut to put a stop to that. Elbow to the back of the head brings Chono to his knees! Chono fires back with a punch to the gut! Single leg takedown follows and WE TEASE the STF here as Chono has the leg and tries to turn him over, but Muta pushes back at his face here, fighting it off.
Chono DOES turn him over, but loses the leg in the process so settles on mounting his foe and locking in a camel clutch. He stops to RIP THE BANDAGES OFF MUTA'S FOREHEAD! Muta's not bleeding, at least not yet... BUT HERE COME THE ELBOW STRIKES TO THE REPAIRED FOREHEAD OF THE MONSTER! Stomps to the back of the head follow as BLOOD HAS STARTED TO FLOW HERE! More stomps follow, as Chono poses for the crowd a bit as the official keeps him back. Chono's back to the mount and the camel clutch. Stopping to BITE AT THE OPEN WOUND OF MUTA! More elbows to the wound follow! Another stomp before forcing 'em to his feet and SCORING with a side russian legsweep! Boot rake to the open wound shortly there after! Chono now tosses him in the corner where he chokes him out with his boot for a bit before stopping and posing...
LOOK AT MUTA! For the second time in less then a week, Muta is COVERED IN HIS OWN BLOOD IN THE CORNER! A few more elbow strikes from Chono before pulling his foe up by the hair and pitching him to the outside! Chono slowly sets up on the apron now... DIVING SHOULDER TACKLE... NO! MUTA SIDE STEPS AND ASSIST IN DRIVING CHONO TO THE FLOOR ON THE OUTSIDE! Talk about crashing and burning! Muta now calmly heads over to the time keepers table and snatches up the hammer, tucking it away in his boot as our official checks on Chono! Muta now approaches and catches Chono with a kick to the chest as he's recovering! Handful of hair now is rammed head first into the ring post! And into the ring apron before being rolled back into the ring! Back in the ring where Chono eats a kick to the gut, but comes back with a fist to the gut of his own. We're trading shots back and forth, that is until Chono goes back to the open wound with a rake!
Double leg takedown from Chono, but Muta quickly pushes his feet back at his foe and makes it to his feet, Masahiro is then able to lock him up in an abdominal stretch. Muta's in trouble, BUT LOOK AT THIS, he's in his boot, and has the hammer... JABBING THE BACK END OF THE TIME KEEPERS HAMMER RIGHT BETWEEN THE EYES OF CHONO FORCING HIM TO BREAK! Muta then tucks the hammer in his waist band, keeping it out of sight of the official. Well for a bit at least, as he's right back to it in full view, leaping and driving it into the forehead of a downed Chono! The official gives him a warning, that he full ignores as he's on Chono's back driving the end of that hammer into Chono's forehead some more, as it's CHONO NOW who's busted wide open!
Muta poses with the hammer in between his teeth to a nice reaction from these fans, as Chono holds at his forehead in pain! His blood MIXED with the blood of Muta. A few more shots as Chono makes it to his feet, and our official steps in to have words with Muta to convince him to give up the hammer...

That doesn't work and as Chono recovers he EATS another shot with the hammer and is propped up in the corner as the official checks on him.. again urging Muta to ditch the prop to no avail. MUTA GOES FREAKING CRAZY WITH THE HAMMER NOW! DRIVING THE END OF IT INTO THE FOREHEAD OF CHONO OVER AND OVER AGAIN LIKE A MAD MAN TILL CHONO CRUMBLES TO THE GROUND! He lets it fly in the air, and poses as our official AGAIN has to check on Chono here. With the hammer on the ground, our ref uses this time to kick it away and wisely so. Chono pulls himself up and PRETENDS to rest up against the corner, but in reality loosens the top of the turnbuckle pad as Muta approaches.. Kick to the gut from Muta, WHO THEN DRIVES CHONO HEAD FIRST INTO THAT EXPOSED TURNBUCKLE PAD!
Muta now mounts Chono AND SHOVES HIS HEAD INTO THAT BUCKLE, GRINDING AWAY!
Muta gets a warning from the official, and a count, so he dismounts at 4 to LICK SOME OF CHONO'S BLOOD OFF HIS FINGERS!
Muta bust out one of his trademark poses, as Chono tries to pull himself to his feet on the other side of the ring. Once he's there, Muta strikes with a tomahawk chop! Knife edge chop follows! Chono ANSWERS BACK with a jumping enziguri, BUT is too out of it to follow up and it's Muta who scores with a stomp to the back of the head! Muta then pitches Chono to the floor and is right out there after him, arming himself with a plastic folding chair and jabbing it into the head of Chono as he recovers! And a quick shot to the back! Chono rolls himself back in as Muta poses to a strong reaction yet again.
Back in the ring as Chono pulls himself up and rest in the corner, only to eat a kick to the gut from Muta! Muta climbs up his foe and bites away at the forehead a bit, as the official starts to count, wisely he dismounts at 3. Chono drops to his knees adn we've got a chop to the head from Muta! Muta starts to choke away at 'em with his knee, as our official has to physically get involved here to pry Muta off! Muta pulls him towards the center of the ring and sets him up between his legs... PILEDRIVER!
Muta pulls him up... BACKDROP SUPLEX CONNECTS!
NO COVER..instead Muta shoots him into the corner... charges in after him... HANDSPRING ELBOW... MISSES AS CHONO MOVES OUT OF THE WAY SENDING MUTA CRASHING INTO THE CORNER! YAKUZA KICK! Wild series of boots to the face FLOOR Muta! And he eats a few more while he's down! Chono pulls him up for a snapmare before heading to the top rope.... Muta recovers just as Chono comes in off the top rope with a diving shoulder tackle!!
Chono pulls at the hair of Muta before SCORING with some fist to that open wound! BITING AWAY AT IT NOW! Few more shots to the head before dragging him towards the center of the ring. He's got the leg.. and we TEASE a STF here BUT MUTA's FIGHTING BACK... So what does Chono do? DROPS A KNEE RIGHT BETWEEN THE LEGS IN FULL VIEW OF THE OFFICIAL! Chono then tosses Muta thru the ropes and to the floor, but the ref is there to keep Chono at bay... Muta takes some of the count before rolling back in and eating a few stomps. He pulls 'em up for a rake to the wound and a forearm smash, setting up a single leg takedown! Chono starts to turn him over, looking for that STF... Muta tries to fight it.. BUT CAN'T!! STF IS LOCKED IN!! STF IS LOCKED IN!! DEAD IN THE CENTER! Huge MUTA chant here fans, as Muta begins to fade fast here... BUT MUTA SUMMONS FIGHTING SPIRIT AND BEGINS TO CRAWL, HOOKING THE BOTTOM ROPE! Our official has to PRY Chono off, who shoots 'em an evil look as he stands up.
Chono with a few stomps before dragging him away from the ropes by the leg and TRYING to turn him over BUT AS HE LEANS IN MUTA BLINDS HIM WITH GREEN MIST!!!!!!!!!! Chono's down holding at his eyes as Muta wipes the blood & paint away from his face, handful of hair leads to 'em pitching Chono to the outside. Muta's there with him and once again introduces him head first into the ring post! Muta sends Chono back in the ring and snatches up another folding chair, tossing it to the ring. The official grabs it, and here's Muta for a tug of war, and here's Chono to catch him with a kick to the gut! Chono now fighting over the chair, sending our ref on his arse! He jabs the chair into the head of Muta! Off the ropes, AND ANOTHER SHOT TO THE HEAD before tossing the chair away! Muta rears back, AND BLINDS CHONO WITH ANOTHER BATCH OF GREEN MIST!!!!!!!!!!
Chono crumbles to the canvas as a ring boy tries to get the chair out of the ring, Muta snatches it up again and begins to stalk Chono! Muta sets it up and sets up in the corner... running LEAPING FACE CRUSHER CONNECTS OFF THAT CHAIR! Muta scores with a backbreaker as the official gets rid of the chair all together, you know what comes next as Muta heads up to the top rope... MOONSAULT CONNECTS!!! MOONSAULT!!! Muta hooks the leg...

CHONO POPS THE SHOULDER JUST BEFORE 3!!!
Muta to the outside now, and REACHES behind the barricade grabbing one of those press tables! He brings it in the ring and sets it up on an angle, as Chono is now to his knees. Muta sets him up on the table and heads up... MOONSAULT!!! NOOOO!! CHONO ROLLS OFF THE TABLE AND MUTA MAKES CONTACT!!!! Muta sits up in a daze as Chono moves the table out of the way and comes off the ropes.. YAKUZA KICK TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD CONNECTS! Chono cradles him up...

The official turns to get rid of the table, Chono shoes him away and grabs it himself, setting it up in the corner. Chono pulls Muta up and sets him up against that table.. YAKUZA KICK... MISSES! Chono holds at his leg as Muta SCORES with a JUMPING SOLEBUTT SENDING CHONO BACK INTO THE CORNER! Muta backs up.... HANDSPRING ELBOW WITH CHONO'S BACK UP AGAINST THE TABLE CONNECTS!!! Snap mare follows and Muta's off the ropes... FLASH ELBOW INTO THE HEART OF CHONO! Muta makes a move for the table yet again... but can't set it up the way he'd like to, so he ditches it all together tossing it to the floor. Muta makes the cut throat symbol and waits on Chono to make it to his feet... set of fingers to the throat, before leaping at Chono.. FRANKENSTEINER COMING UP... NO!!! CHONO COUNTERS TO A KNEELING POWERBOMB!! THIS IS HOW CHONO BEAT MUTOH TO WIN THE '91 G1!

BOTH MEN are sucking wind now, and once we're to our feet we're both dazed from all the blood loss.. JUMPING ENZIGURI FROM CHONO! He's slow to follow up, pulling himself to his feet as Muta rest on the ropes... JUMPING SOLEBUTT FROM MUTA AND DOWN GOES CHONO! Muta pulls him up.. PILEDRIVER COMING UP... NO! AND CRAWL DRAWING THE STRENGTH FROM THESE GREAT FANS.... HE'S NEARING THE ROPES... SO AGAIN CHONO STEPS UP AND DRAGS HIM TOWARDS THE CENTER... CHONO THIS TIME AROUND DEATHLOCKS THE LEGS AND RE-APPLIES THE FACE LOCK....

Chono takes to the microphone, AND CALLS OFF GOTO, FUYUKI & KOJIMA, URGING MUTA TO COME BACK IN THE RING! He calls Muta his greatest opponent, and his best friend in the world, face paint or no face paint. They've had their differences, but this is OVER.. he wants to burry the hatchet here and now.. Fuyuki appears to be taken back by this.. and openly questions it... to which Chono tells him to hush... Chono extends his hand to Muta as this crowd has NO IDEA what to think... AND MUTA LEAVES HIM HANGING and exits this ring!
Fuyuki now SNATCHES the microphone from Chono! He asks Chono if he SAW what happened here tonight? Hell Raisers, Kanemoto, Guerrero have all left on HIS WATCH, and now he wants to burry the hatchet with Muta? Chono laughs and is handed a microphone by our ring announcer... he questions how it's "HIS WATCH?" he had one goal tonight, to settle things with Muta... EVERYTHING ELSE is on his NUMBER 2 (making sure to empasize the 2). He looks around in this ring, and THIS ISN'T HIS BLACK NEW JAPAN any more.. Kojima was Fuyuki's recruit...
