Trick here is that Brian worked the crowd up before we went on the air, so if anyone missed the Coliseum show, they know he's the heel here. Christopher gets his butt handed for him in the early going and is sent to the outside, that's where Hammrick misses a dive to the floor. Brian rolls him into the ring and one superkick later Brian Christopher is your winner.

Lance wants answers in regards to this past Monday Night so before we go to break, Brian stops by at the podium.
Lance Russell: " You've got a lot of explaining to do Brian, after this past Monday Night... "
Brian Christopher: " What are you talking about Russell? Huh? You and these people just don't get it, I'm the same man I was last week. I told the world I was gonna prove Chris Candido was a LOSER with or without Tony Rumble, and these morons weren't booing me then, were they?"
Lance Russell: " You know exactly what I'm talking about, can you roll the tape? "
The VTR airs of this past Monday Night, with Christopher providing commentary during it. It's of course Christopher defending against Candido.
Brian Christopher: " See I was just trying to have a fair, one on one match, like I request... and LOOK! LOOK RIGHT THERE... who's that with Candido at ringside? "
This is as our highlights of "Boston Bad Boy" Tony Rumble & the Bad Crew coming to ringside air.
Lance Russell: " You can see plain as day that Chris Candido didn't want them there, and then WHAMO you take full advantage of the situation and lay him out with that superkick of yours..."
Brian Christopher: " I didn't do nothing that he wouldn't do to me Lance, you know that... "
Lance Russell: " See that's not even the problem... (as we jump to the post match) right here... Candido had just fired Tony Rumble, and we've got the Bad Crew and Rumble tripling up on the kid, and what did you do? (clip of Christopher joining in) "
Brian Christopher: " Oh that.... uh.. well you see, uh.... SHUD UP (to the fans booing) you see... what I realized right then and there.. uh... well... hey... I'm the champion right? " (footage stops)
Lance Russell: " You're the champion allright, but this Monday Night Eddie Marlin has opted to give Chris Candido a return match, and I've spoken to Chris and I've gotta say it, the kid is as fired up as ever.."
Brian Christopher: " Well isn't that cute Russell? He gets another title shot.... well that's something allright... you listen... and you listen real good... Brian Christopher is SICK AND TIRED of fighting Chris Candido... I beat him with Rumble, I beat him without Rumble, I've got bruises all over my knuckles from beating the guy up so bad... Eddie Marlin BETTER start paying attention to ME and WHAT I WANT, or there's gonna be trouble around here, you here me?"
Lance Russell: " I wouldn't go threatening Eddie Marlin if I were you, fans we're taking a break, when we return we've got a run down of what's in store for the rest of the morning so stay tuned!"

Paul E. Dangerously: " Jerry Lawler, Bill Dundee, Koko Ware, Bam Bam Bigelow... everyone who's everyone around here, this man has defeated fair and square right in the middle. "
Lance Russell: " I don't know about that, you two are always cooking something up..."
Eddie Gilbert: " Hey, hey.... it's a fact, they've challenged, I've retained... there's just about no one left that I haven't faced and defeated for MY USWA Heavyweight Champion Russell! I am THE most dominant USWA Heavyweight Champion, but you know what since I'm such a nice guy... it's time I GIVE BACK to the 'RASSLIN business"
Lance Russell: " Just what are you getting at here Eddie? "
Eddie Gilbert: " What Paul E. has done, man it's huge... see he's negotioted an OPEN CONTRACT for this Monday Night, but not just any open contract. We briefly talk to Jeff Jarrett & Bill Dundee at the podium before their match. Standard stuff.. "may the best man win" and all that. The real story here is Jarrett takes the time to thank a fan named Tammy who sent him a hand painted portrait. The portrait is then shown, as Jeff says he's real proud of all the fans support ever since the injury and all that jazz. The portrait is displayed at ringside during the bout.

Handshake and all that respectful stuff at the start. USWA Jr. heavyweight champion: Brian Christopher emerges from the back during the bout to join Lance & Dave. They ask why he's there, and Brian says he's just here to watch and observe, pointing out that either man could easily be a Jr. heavyweight contender.. cracking a few short jokes at Dundee's expense in the process of course. He brings up a valid point, where's his music video? Jeff Jarrett has a music video, why doesn't Brian Christopher have one, yah know? Purely technical based in there, but it starts picking up quite a bit and Brian claims he wants a closer look at that picture. Brian's at ringside admiring the photo, he picks it up... prompting Jeff to roll out of the ring and question what he's doing... Dundee calls Jeff back in the ring as Brian motions that he's gonna put it right back... of course he BREAKS THE FREAKING PORTRAIT OVER THE BACK OF JARRETT'S HEAD ON THE OUTSIDE CAUSING THE DQ! Dundee's out there and Christopher quickly takes off.. laughing at what he's just done!

Lance Russell: " I wouldn't talk, Brian Christopher may have gotten the better of Jeff Jarrett today, but Billy I wouldn't want to be in your shoes this Monday Night in that guitar on a pole match.."
Billy Joe Travis: " PUH-LEAZE... No one swings a guitar like little 'ol me... ya'll just wait and see... and wait till ya'll hear the song I've cooked up for my celebration... it's gonna be GREAT! "
And with that Lance simply rolls his eyes as Billy Joe prances away. We're going to be joined by Bam Bam Bigelow & Jerry "the King" Lawler in just a bit but first we're taking you back to last Monday Night at the Coliseum!

Selected highlights of both challenger Bam Bam Bigelow & champion Eddie Gilbert getting into it with referee Jerry Lawler are shown, leading to the finish that saw Gilbert introduce a chair into the match only for the King to rest it away. Lawler takes a swing with it, Gilbert moves and DOWN GOES BAM BAM! The King is forced to count the pin giving Gilbert the victory!

Lance Russell: " That's a good idea, maybe we can get this thing all smooth over before Monday Night.."
A fired up Bigelow storms to the set..
Bam Bam Bigelow: " What are you gonna say you're sorry? Huh? It doesn't matter if it was an accident, you still cost me the USWA Heavyweight Championship Lawler, and for that YOU'VE GOTTA PAY! "
Jerry Lawler: " You know what big man? I'm not out here to apologize, you see together we COULD take on the Dangerous Alliance, and put an end to those goofs once and for all, but that's just not in the cards. Ever since you've got here, you've had this big chip on your shoulder, you've called just about everyone out on promos, said things like you don't care about anything or anybody BUT that USWA Heavyweight Championship... I'm not sorry, 'cause the way I SEE it, this thing between me and you was BOUND to happen eventually.. so what I've got to say to you Bam Bam, is this... we've been down this road before, and you KNOW how that turned out... so if you're up to go down this road again, don't forget...that when he play with fire (goes nose to nose with Bam Bam Bigelow) you're BOUND to get burned!"
Bam Bam Bigelow: " I guess we'll just have to wait and see..."
It's a tense moment, so Lance throws it to highlights of this past Monday's steel cage match between the Disciples & the Bruise Brothers!

The King & Bam Bam are now gone, Lance & Dave let us know that they haven't seen or heard from Daryl Van Horne and the Disciples since this monster emerged but can only assume this is just the beginning. I'm not out here to sing the praises of the UNCROWNED World Heavyweight Champion: Austin Idol or tell the world how Eddie Gilbert is the MOST DOMINATE USWA Heavyweight Champion of all time, Lance.. nor am I out here to sing the praises of 'Terrific' Terry Taylor.... "
Lance Russell: "Sounds like your bragging to me..."
Paul E. : " Well I guess it does, but THAT's not why I'm here... I'm out here to conduct business... 'cause at the end of the day that's exactly what I am, a business man thru and thru... and I'll I want to do is conduct myself like a gentleman here and now, and make a legitimate business offer to one of the hottest young talents out there.. I don't want to get hit, I don't want to get beat up.. I'm not an athlete, I'm just a manager, and business man... and all I want to do is speak to this kid on behalf of myself and more importantly on behalf of 'Terrific' Terry Taylor, just want to make him an offer, and you know what Lance if he doesn't like it, he can walk... no harm no foul just an offer.. we can have the match Monday at the Coliseum.. I have no beef with this kid, in fact I've been nothing but impressed and I hope he's got no beef with me.. the kid that I'm talking about.."
Lance Russell: " Who are you talking about? "
Paul E. Dangerously: " I'd like for him to come on out here right now and hear me out... I'd like Marcus Alexander Bagwell to come out, I just have an offer to make the kid, no violence it's not a trick. I just want to talk to you for a moment Marcus and if you don't want to talk to me, that's fine I get it... you've got guys like Lawler & Danny Davis in your head, I get it.. but just hear me out, you don't like what I have to say you can just go on to the back and we can go onto our business as if it never happened. "
Crowd applauds as Marcus Bagwell comes out from the back.
Lance Russell: " I can say this Marcus, he's out here by himself so that's a good start. "
Paul E. Dangerously: " That's right, no Eddie Gilbert, no Austin Idol, no Terry Taylor... no tricks up my sleeve kid. "
Bagwell wants to know what it is, no mic on him though.
Paul E. Dangerously: " I gotta say kid, I've been impressed since the moment I've laid eyes on you, man. Two weeks ago when I brought Abdullah the Butcher out here and you didn't flinch, I thought this kid's either got something or just doesn't know any better... fast forward seven days later, seven days after getting mauled by Abdullah you STOOD tall with the USWA Heavyweight Champion 'Hot Stuff' Eddie Gilbert.. man talk about a knock out punch, but kid you got up, you dusted yourself off and you were ready to fight again."
Bagwell: " It was a chain wrapped punch..."
Paul E. Dangerously: " Well... uh... sure... sure it WAS a chain wrapped punch but you got up, you dusted yourself off and you were ready for more... then Monday Night... Monday Night you went toe to toe with 'Terrific' Terry Taylor, for 20 minutes neither one of you guys gave it up, you went out there, went the distance... man was I ever impressed... and more importantly was Terry Taylor ever impressed. Now I know you've got a match this Monday, teaming with Danny Davis against Austin Idol & Terry Taylor at the Mid South Coliseum.. but kid it's your lucky day... 'cause Terrence Taylor's sent me out here to make you an offer you just can't refuse..."
Marcus Bagwell: " And what's that..."
Paul E. Dangerously: " Why to be his partner of course... see he and I see something in you, you're the next big superstar around here.. but as long as you're teaming with guys like Danny Davis, kid you're going nowhere fast... so I'm here today to tell you that, that match doesn't have to happen... just sign a contract with me, and become the tag team partner to one of the greatest tag team wrestlers this business has ever seen in Terry Taylor, and pretty soon not only will you be holding gold here in the USWA, but kid I can get you the NWA World Tag Team Championship..."
Marcus Bagwell: " First off all Paul E. I don't appreciate you knocking Danny Davis, the guy's been a mentor to me up and down the roads.."
Paul E.: " Hey.. hey.. I'm sorry... Danny's a good guy, but you've gotta understand theirs a reason why he's only gone so far in this business... You've gotta understand that what I'm offering you kid, comes just once in a life time..."
Marcus Bagwell: " I get that, believe me I do. But, Mr. Dangerously.."
Paul E: " Please call me Paul.."
Marcus Bagwell: " Paul... I just can't do it... my mama didn't raise me to take no short cuts, and things like hitting a man with a cell phone, or knocking a man out with a chain, THOSE are short cuts that I just don't want to take.. so my answer is NO. "
Paul: " No? No? Think it over kid, I'm talking champagne, women, limousines, the whole nine.. with me your a star, WITHOUT ME you're JUST ANOTHER LOSER like Danny Davis..."
Marcus Bagwell: " Paul, I said NO... and I asked you to STOP BASHING DANNY DAVIS..."
Paul: " HEY.. (red faced) HEY... YOU LISTEN TO ME (pushing his finger into Marcus' chest) THIS IS YOUR ONE CHANCE to FINALLY be part of a winning TEAM... "
Marcus Bagwell: " (shoving Paul's finger away) Don't TEMP ME PAUL! (waving his fist) "
Paul E: " (Smiling, and again pressing his finger into Marcus' chest as he says this next line) THAT'S MR. DANGEROUSLY TO YO--- "
WHAMO BAGWELL NAILS DANGEROUSLY WITH A RIGHT HAND FLOORING HIM IN THE PROCESS! AND HERE COMES THE DANGEROUS ALLIANCE: TERRY TAYLOR, AUSTIN IDOL & USWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: EDDIE GILBERT AS THEY POUNCE ON THE KID LIKE A PACK OF WOLVES!! "NIGHTMARE" DANNY DAVIS is out with a freaking STEEL CHAIR, SWINGING FOR THE FENSES... THE ALLIANCE BAIL but the DAMAGE IS DONE as Danny checks on his partner. As he exits Paul E. declares that Bagwell just made the BIGGEST MISTAKE OF HIS LIFE!
We immediatly cut to a pre-recorded message from Jerry "the King" Lawler

Jerry Lawler: " Jerry 'the King' Lawler here to tell you just how it is. On June the 24th the World Wrestling Federation returns to pay per view with an event entitled 'King of the Ring'. It is on this night that the WWF will hold a one night tournament to crown, what they want you to believe is the one 'true King' of professional wrestling. Now I know I'm not suppose to comment on the WWF any more, as you know we're all part of the same team these days, NWA members and all, but I'm gonna shoot straight with you. Now we here in Memphis can't compete with the fireworks, lighting, and over all big time presentation of a World Wrestling Federation or a World Championship Wrestling, but at the end of the day we, along with promotions like the UWF & Florida Championship Wrestling put on a good product just the same, and we do it WITHOUT INSULTING THE FANS INTELLIGENCE. Vince McMahon, you can put as much perfume on a pig as you want, dress 'em up in a crown, call him a KING, but it's a PIG just the same. See there's only one TRUE KING in professional wrestling, and you're looking at him right here and now!"

Lance mentions we've got a little bit of time left for the "contract signing", he can only imagine what kind of farce *THESE TWO* (As Paul E & Eddie enter the shot) have cooked up here today. Paul E. & "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert aren't alone as they've got a masked wrestler in a complete black body suit alongside them. I must point out that Paul E. is holding a ice pack on his head.
"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: " Look at this guy Lance, he's got a good size on 'em don't he... you can see it's not a farce at all... we even sent Austin & Terry home, because this isn't a farce, this isn't some sort of trick, this is legit! I didn't go out there and pick the smallest guy I could find, I found a kid who's hungry and ready for his big break! "
Lance Russell: " Has he even wrestled a match before, though? It's not always about size, come on you know that.. "
"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: " Is that some sort of wise crack about Billy Dundee, I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate that.. (Lance tries to speak but Eddie cuts him off) but you know you've brought up a good question.. has he ever rassle'd a match? I don't know... let's see.. (to the masked man) have you ever rassled before? "
The masked man SHRUGS his shoulders.
"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: " Paul does he speak english? Maybe there is a language barrier or something..."
Paul E. shakes his head, says he doesn't even know..
"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: " Well it's not a big deal, it doesn't matter... all that matters is that I'm doing something good for this business by giving this man a shot... there's just some paper work we have to get in order here.... do you under stand that?"
The Masked Man shakes nods his head.. Eddie motions for the contract, and is handed it by Paul. No pen though, so Gilbert request one and we've got a little flub as everyone digs for a pen, but Paul E. eventually delivers..
"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: " Okay... here yah' go... you just sign your name right on the bottom there... and we're good.... see Lance once he's signs I'm not LIABLE for whatever happens out there, yah' know.. this makes it official...."
The Masked Man looks lost as he's got nothing to lean on... Gilbert convinces Paul E. to give him his back. The Contract is signed... and handed over to Paul E.
"Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert: " SO there you have it... Monday Night at the Coliseum, EDDIE GILBERT GIVES BACK TO THE BUIS.."
Paul E. interrupts him, he legit looks like he's seen a ghost...

Paul E. is sweating heavily... as he motions "No" and shows Eddie the signature...

WHAMO HUGE RIGHT HAND! AND ANOTHER! PAUL E. is shoved to the studio floor! The masked man drags Eddie over to the ring and rolls him in. The studio is coming unglued and Lance is loving it, although he doesn't really even know just what it is we're exactly seeing. Gilbert blocks a few right hands, but sends the masked man into the ropes.. lowers his head... HIP TOSS is blocked! The masked man takes him down... SPINNING TOE HOLD!! SPINNING TOE HOLD!! PAUL E. & EDDIE have no one to help here as he's sent the DA home for the day!Crowd's going crazy! He releases the hold a short time later and TOSSES GILBERT thru the second rope... the masked man fiddles with the mask... pulling it off revealing.....[/color]

With that it's time for a recap to send us home. Our opening bout saw Brian Christopher defeat Chris Hammrick via a superkick at 3:38. Koko Ware made quick work of the Masked Super Destroyer pinning him after that Ghostbuster of his at 2:51. Our TV5 Championship match was ruined thanks to Brian Christopher, but our official result see's Jeff Jarrett defeat Champion Bill Dundee via disqualification, the title however does not change hands the time on that one was 6:10. Marcus Bagwell scored a big win over Wolfie D with that fisherman's suplex of his at 7:57. Terry Taylor & Austin Idol of the Dangerous Alliance made quick work of Summers & Young, with Taylor pinning Summers after that Five Arm of his in under 30 seconds. Our expiration of time main event saw The Bruise Brothers & the Fantastics tie Billy Joe Travis, Rod & the Bad Crew at 1 fall a piece, total time on that one was just about 15 minutes there.
