Tuesday Night At The Gardens
Tuesday Night 5/22/92
Louisville Gardens
Louisville, Kentucky
USWA's regular Tuesday stop at the gardens kicked off with singles action as the youngest of the Armstrong Family: Brian Armstrong went one on one with Wolfie D. Back and forth encounter here between both rookies, that see's Wolfie take advantage of a missed charge in the corner from Brian and act quick scoring with an inverted DDT for the victory at 7:05.
Post Match- Wolfie arms himself with his trusty can of spray paint and looks to tag the yellow streak down the back of Brian, only for Brickhouse Brown to hit the ring and run 'em off!
Tag team action followed as the Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) make their return to the Gardens making quick work of the makeshift duo of Bobby Knight & David Young, pinning Young off a top rope double dropkick at just 4:11.
A return match from this past weeks TV see's Scott Armstrong go one on one with the East Coast Brotherhood's "Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido w/ "Boston Bad Boy" Tony Rumble . Fun little match that plays out similarly to this past Saturday's encounter, but this time around Triple B ends up accidently tripping up his own charge! Scott then scores with a superkick to pick up the win at 12:30.
The USWA Tag Team Championships were on the line as the Disciples (Maxx Payne & The Demolisher) w/ Daryl Van Horne took on the duo of Marcus Alexander Bagwell & "Nightmare" Danny Davis. Try as they might the baby faces were no match for the destructive force that is the Disciples. Finish see's Payne catch Bagwell in his Payne Killer (Fujiawara armbar) for the submission at 15:45.
Post Match - The duo turn their attention to Davis after the bell, but LUCKILY the Bruise Brothers are out to even things up just moments later. Van Horne is able to convince his duo to make a quick exit.
Intermission During intermission USWA Heavyweight Champion: Eddie "Hot Stuff" Gilbert & "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol strolled out to brag over the house microphone that they pulled the wool over everyone's eyes this past Monday Night at the Coliseum and were now fully aligned. Jerry Lawler came out and promised to make Idol pay later on tonight. This was done to get the crowd up to speed on what occurred the night before obviously.
Singles action see's Koko B. Ware go one on one with Bodyguard Rod w/ Billy Joe Travis. Rod's singles match debut, and he impresses taking the fight to Koko thru and thru. B. Ware makes a huge comeback and sets up on the top rope, but the official gets distracted by Rod leading to Travis shoving Koko off the top rope and crashing to the canvas. Price finishes his foe off moments later with the California Crusher (Ace Crusher) at 8:13.
Tag Team Action follows as the BruiseBrothers (Don & Ron Harris) out and out destroy the Bad Crew (Dog & Rose) w/ Tony Rumble, with one of the Harris' pinning Rose in just 2:20 off a double team flapjack (H-Bomb).
Post Match- The Disciples hit the ring for a huge pull apart.
Singles action see's Brian Christopher make quick work of Shaun Summers, putting him away full nelson face buster in just 5:50. Chris Candido & Tony Rumble were out to scout this one.
Your Semi-Final saw Jerry "The King" Lawler go one on one with arch rival "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol Back and forth contest, both men ended up juicing. Tons of heat, crowd was really into all the near falls. The action spilled to the outside, Idol misses a charge and eats the ring post leading to the King beating the count and earning the count out victory at 19:32.
Post Match- Idol threw a fit on the outside as the King celebrated. He threatened the official, but thankfully didn't follow thru on it.
And your main event is a huge one, Champion Vs. Champion as USWA Heavyweight Champion: "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert puts the gold on the line against newly crowned TV5 Champion: "Superstar" Bill Dundee. These two are no strangers, not for a long shot. Plays out just as it did this past Monday (5/14) at the Mid South. A good long, southern style main event. Punches are thrown, blood is shed, and in the end Gilbert STEALS the win with a double leg takedown into a pin, making sure to position his feet on the second turnbuckle for additional leverage at 16:58.
Post Match- As Dundee explains his case to the official, he's BLIND SIDED BY AUSTIN IDOL! Idol & Gilbert double up on Dundee, until JERRY "THE KING" LAWLER hits the ring for the save! Lawler took to the microphone and a challenge was made for next week right here at the Gardens: Lawler & Dundee Vs. Idol & Gilbert.

Wednesday Night At The Evansville Coliseum
Wednesday Night 5/23/92
Evansville Coliseum
Evansville, Indiana
And we're kicking off our Evansville stop with singles action as the brash rookie Wolfie D goes one on one with archrival: Brickhouse Brown. Usual match up from the two at first, but much longer as these two battle to a 20 minute time limit draw!
Post Match- Brickhouse wants five more minutes, Wolfie D does the typical heel tease, faking an interest then thinking better of it to boo's.
Tag Team Action follows as The Fantastics (Bobby Fulton & Tommy Rogers) mix it up once again with the ever elusive Bad Crew (Dog & Rose) w/ "Boston Bad Boy" Tony Rumble . Rumble looks revealed when his team makes it past two minutes, but don't get your hopes up Tony 'cause it's Bad Crew, and Bad Crew sucks. Finish see's Rogers get the pin on Rose with the Rocket Launcher at just 4:48.
Marcus Alexander Bagwell see's action next taking on Bobby Knight . A surprisingly back and forth encounter. But Marcus will not be denied as he picks up the victory off his trademark Fisherman's Suplex in 10:29.
Just before intermission it's a return match from this past weeks TV as the newly crowned TV5 Champion: "Superstar" Bill Dundee takes on former champion (well for just under 6 minutes) Billy Joe Travis w/ Bodyguard Rod. This one gets more time than TV of course, but has just about the same result as Dundee comes out on top after dropkicking Travis into Rod (as Rod's on the apron) and cradling him up for the victory at 12:10.
Post Match- Que the water works from Travis, and a "Crybaby" chant lead by Bill Dundee follows in short order.
Intermission
During intermission Idol & Gilbert hit ringside much like last night to fill the fans in on their new found partnership. Tonight Jerry Lawler goes one on one with Eddie Gilbert for that USWA Heavyweight Championship & Idol damn near guarantees he's getting involved!
Back from intermission with tag team action as Scott Armstrong teams with Brian Christopher to take on "Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido & Shaun Summers w/ "Boston Bad Boy" Tony Rumble in a preview for the up coming Jr. Heavyweight Title Tournament. Much like this past Monday night there are some fun interactions with Candido & Christopher in particular, but after taking a good butt kicking Candido walks out on the match leaving Shaun Summers all alone to face defeat at the hands of a double super kick in 8:10.
"Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol see's singles action next against crowd favorite Koko B Ware. . Idol heels it up thru and thru, underestimating Koko at times allowing him to make a few big time comebacks. Koko looks for the Ghostbuster to finish, but "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert is out to provide a distraction.. this allows Idol to score with a low blow and a quick suplex of his own for the tainted victory at 15:45.
Post Match- Idol & Gilbert double up on Koko a bit, but the King is there to make the save! Lawler then challenges Eddie right then and there.. and yes... the main event is on fans!
USWA Tag Team Champions: The Disciples (Demolisher & Maxx Payne) w/ Daryl Van Horne put the titles on the line against arch rivals: The Bruise Brothers (Don & Ron Harris). Huge brawl, that saw the Harris twins actually CONNECT with the H BOMB on Demolisher, BUT VAN HORNE breaks up the pin for the DQ at 11:11.
Post Match- The Bruise Brothers get their hands on Van Horne to a huge reaction, but take to much time allowing the Disciples to pull themselves together and drag Van Horne off to safety!
Main Event- USWA Heavyweight Championship is on the line as Jerry "The King" Lawler challenges "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert for the gold! Rabid crowd makes this one feel like something special. Lawler takes a good beating, battles back from behind.. STRAPS are down! Few huge right hands and a suplex sets up the dreaded FLYING FISTDROP from the top.. COVER...
