Wednesday Night At The Evansville Coliseum
Wednesday Night 7/25/92
The show kicked off with the Evansville debut of Too Cold Scorpio as he battled the mysterious Crimson Dragon in exciting Jr. heavyweight action! Match played out very similar to this past Monday's bout between the two with Scorp coming out on top with the "Scorpio Splash" (450 Splash) at 7:15.
More singles action follows as Tracy Smothers battles Blackheart Destruction. Apocalypse is out with Destruction, and we get a switch a roo spot at one point. Doesn't matter in the end as Smothers puts whatever Blackheart he's in there with away with the jawjacker out of nowhere at 6:01.
It what was billed locally as a "Ghetto Street Fight" the Gangstas (New Jack & Mustafa) w/ Wolfie D battled the duo of Koko B. Ware & the Spellbinder. The Gangstas random thugs were barred from ringside, but Wolfie was allowed for whatever reason, hey it's Southern 'Rasslin. Wild brawl thru and thru, Koko comes in off the top with a cross body block on Mustafa but Wolfie breaks up the pin at two! Wolfie & Koko get into it, leaving the big man all alone to take a black jack shot from New Jack. Running Power Slam/Diving headbutt combo finishes off the Binder, as the boo birds are out as the Gangstas are declared the winners at 13:38.
Post Match- They continue their assault on the baby faces, prompting Jeff Jarrett & Tracy Smothers to run out for the save!
USWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship is on the line just before intermission as Brian Christopher w/ Robert Fuller defends against "Simply Irresistible" Jeff Jarrett. The idea here is that this is the local blow off to the feud, so it should come as no surprise that the Gangstas get involved and much like two weeks ago at the Coliseum Jack cost Jarrett the title with a blackjack shot leading to Christopher picking up the victory at 15:45.
Post Match- Tracy & Koko Ware are out to save Jarrett from a post match beat down.
Intermission
We're told to stay tuned to this week's Championship Wrestling for a HUGE announcement from match maker Eddie Marlin!
USWA Tag Team Championship is on the line as The Fantastics (Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton) defend against the No.1 Contenders "Terrific" Terry Taylor & Greg "the Hammer" Valentine of the Dangerous Alliance w/ Paul E. Dangerously of course. The story here is quite simple, Rogers comes into this thing with a bum knee at the hands of Valentine, made worse from a grueling contest with the Steiner Brothers. Still the Fantastics don't have an ounce of quit in them and take it to the champs at every turn. HOWEVER during a huge comeback spot, Taylor is able to clip the knee of Rogers. Valentine acts quick locking in the figure four as Taylor keeps Fulton at bay, ROGERS HAS NO CHOICE BUT THE SURRENDER AND WE'VE GOT NEW USWA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS AT 19:01!
Post Match- The heels collect their new titles as Fulton, and now medical personal check on the fallen Rogers! The Dangerous Alliance are now in control of the USWA Tag Team Championships!
Marcus Alexander Bagwell see's singles action up next against The Gambler w/ Robert Fuller. Not a bad match per say, but even with Fuller in his corner Gambler doesn't get the job done and falls to a Fisherman's Suplex at 5:01.
Singles action see's the MONSTER known as Doomsday w/ Daryl Van Horne get taking to task by "Big" Ron Harris. Harris puts forth a valiant effort but falls to the power bomb at 5:14. The question must be asked once more, can anyone stop Doomsday?
Main Event Grudge Tag Team Actin as Jerry "the King" Lawler teams with USWA Heavyweight Champion: Terry Funk against the Dangerous Alliance Duo of "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol & "Superstar" Bill Dundee w/ Paul E. Dangerously Great main event with four true southern professionals in there, would you expect anything less? Dundee tries for a phone shot on Lawler at the end, but Funk is there (with the ref tied up with Paul E. of course) to attempt to yank it away. They battle over it, but here's the King to cradle up the "Superstar" from behind for the win at 16:23! So the fans get sent home happy despite the DA winning gold here tonight in Indy!

USWA Jr. Heavyweight Championship: Brian Christopher retained over Jeff Jarrett after New Jack hit Jarrett with the blackjack at 15:45.
USWA Tag Team Championship: Terry Taylor & Greg Valentine defeated The Fantastics (Rogers & Fulton) for the gold when Valentine made Rogers submit to the figure four at 19:01.
Marcus Bagwell pinned the Gambler with the Fisherman's Suplex at 5:01.
Doomsday defeated Ron Harris with the Power Bomb at 5:14.
Jerry Lawler & Terry Funk defeated Austin Idol & Bill Dundee when Lawler pinned Dundee off a roll up at 16:23 to send the fans home happy.
