Kick Ass Wrestling
Live from the WLMT-TV 30 Studios
7/15/1992
1 am
Memphis, Tennessee
The Kick Ass Wrestling logo explodes onto the screen while some generic, cheesy music plays. As that all goes away, we go right to videotape from the ending of last week's show ...
Roll that video! The Snowman is holding up the badly bleeding Jamie Dundee and talking in his face! HERE HE COMES! ARMED WITH A CHAIR, BERT PRENTICE COMES RUNNING OUT ALONE! Unlike the previous week, Bert doesn't go crashing to the floor and comes up swinging! The Snowman sees Bert come in at the last second and ducks out of the way ... BERT PRENTICE HAS CLOBBERED REGGIE BENNETT WITH THE CHAIR! SHE GOES DOWN IN A HEAP! End the videotape!
With the video over, we return to the television studio with new host David Jett, having been joined by Bert Prentice.
David Jett: "Good morning wrestling fans and Bert thanks for joining me today. You've seen the tape from last week, your thoughts?"
Bert Prentice: "Reggie Bennett was not my intended target and I feel awful that I hit a woman. I also feel story that I didn't wrap this chair around the Snowman's head for what he did to Jamie Dundee and JC Fargo ..."
The boobirds come as the Snowman, Brickhouse Brown and Reggie Bennett make their way across the studio.
David Jett: "Guys, we don't want any trouble this morning ..."
The Snowman: "You don't want any trouble? I think that's a little too late in coming. You don't let us into your little tag team tournament, he bashes Reggie here with a chair and is sorry he DIDN'T wrap that chair around my head ... YOU don't want any trouble from us? Ain't that how it always is?"
Bert Prentice: "You're not welcome here!"
The Snowman: "You know Bert, Jerry Lawler said that to me years ago, Eddie Marlin, too. They didn't want to give me a shot at the King because they knew I'd beat him. They knew the people here in Memphis were behind me. They knew but I wasn't welcome there. In my own hometown. The King tol' me, "Snowman, you gotta go elsewhere to wrestle, New York's a nice place this time of year". Well guess what? The Snowman ain't bein' pushed out the door like that. Oh no, The Snowman's here to send a message and If I have to yank the arms off the King's son to send that message, tha's what I'm gonna do."
David Jett: "Is this what's behind the unmitigated attacks on the Kick Icons?"
Brickhouse Brown: "Boy, lissen to you with them big words, I don't even know what you jus' said but let me tell you, it's like this ... We've been done wrong and we're sending a message ... a message that's gonna be heard loud and clear when we're all done ..."
The Snowman: "AMEN BRUTHA!"
Brickhouse Brown: "That little pipsqueak Bill Dundee turned his back on his ol' pal Brickhouse before I got run out of the USWA. Let me ax you how many times has ol' Brickhouse been there for Bill when he needed help? How many times has that little midget come cryin' to me for help? The one time I need his help, Bill Dundee ain't nowhere to be found. How long you think it's gonna be 'fore his boy come cryin' for help? You think Bill Dundee gonna come runnin' and if he do, Brickhouse Brown will be here waitin' for'em!"
David Jett: "And you, MIss Bennett?"
Reggie Bennett: "The wrestling world doesn't have a place for many women and you don't fit the mold here, you've got nowhere to go. I've got two men here who understand what it's like to be held back, to be held down or to be shipped off somewhere else to do what they love best. The USWA doesn't want us ... KAW doesn't want us ..."
Bert Prentice: "You two got your match. You challenged the Kick Icons and they have accepted. Against my better judgement, I've got the contracts ... Snowman and Brickhouse, you got your match at the July 28th show in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse on the University of Memphis Campus against Jamie Dundee and JC Fargo!"
Reggie Bennett: "That answer's the Snowman's and Brick's challenge but I have one for you, Bert ... you have no problems hitting a lady with a chair, then I want you in a match on the 28th ... if you're man enough!"
The fans are taken by surprise of the challenge as David Jett throws it to a commercial break!

David Jett: "The big July 28th show at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse on the University of Memphis Campus is shaping up nicely. We will crown both a heavyweight and tag team champions that evening along with the Kick Icons facing off against The Snowman and Brickhouse Brown with the stipulations if Snowman and Brickhouse LOSE they will leave the KAW FOR GOOD! Now, let's go to the ring!"
Scotty the Body and Scott Stud versus The YellowJackets
This is the third match in our tag tournament with the newly put together team facing off against two masked men. The YellowJackets heel it up early on and take it to the young Studd but Scotty is in to quickly right the ship. Minus the early snag, the two Scotts look pretty good and easily dispatch their opponents with young Studd getting the pinfall off of a flying crossbody in under 5 minutes.
Following the match, the winners join David Jett.
David Jett: "A big win for the two of you having joined forces only last week."
Scotty the Body: "I'd say thank you, David but we're a long way from winning this. We got through the first round match just on our athletic ability but now we have to step things up. We've got a week to get for an even better opponent in the next round. We'll be right back here next week for our next match and we'll be better."
David Jett: "Alright ... a determined and confident Scotty the Body and his partner, Scott Studd! And now ..."
BIG SID!
Jett gulps deeply as Big Sid joins him! Sid takes a deep breath before letting out a sharp laugh and looks down at Jett.
Sid: "Do you smell that little man?"
David Jett: "I don't know ..."
Sid: "I smell barbecued frog's legs ... last week, there was a challenge thrown out at me. HAHA! Gypsies, tramps and thieves ... that is exactly what Jimmy Valiant is and on the 28th, all the men are going to come to town and lay their money down ... on Big Sid!"
Jett breathes a sigh of relief as Sid storms off just as quickly as he came.
David Jett: "It would appear that Big Sid has answered the challenge of the Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant for the 28th. Tickets are on sale for this big show but are going fast!
We head into a quick commercial break with Scott Studd hitting a flying crossbody block on a masked YellowJacket in slow motion.

We come back and head right to the ring for more tag team action!
Rainbow Brown and Izzy w/Tasha versus Todd Morton and Jackie Fulton
A tag team of two of the "lesser known relatives" of two more well known stars against a pair that shouldn't have much chance in advancing too far in the tournament but as things turn out, it is a pretty entertaining match with all four participants pulling out all of the stops. Morton and Fulton hit on all cylinders and look as if they've been working together for years while Izzy and Brown give it a good shot. With Morton and Fulton taking control of the match, the Tennessee Vols come out and join Jett on commentary. They run down Fulton and Morton, questioning why Ricky Morton wasn't the one who answered the call instead of this "fake" Fulton? Comeback by Izzy and Brown is shortlived as a double dropkick puts an end to that before Morton's suplex/Fulton's leg drop combo picks up the win in a little over 9 minutes.
We have some words between the Vols and the team of Morton and Fulton which quickly disapates as the Vols disappear into the back without further incident. David Jett is then joined by JC Fargo and the Midget!
David Jett: "JC, over the last couple of weeks, things have exploded here between you, the Kick Icons and the team of The Snowman and Brickhouse Brown. First, there was the attack on Kevin Lawler then last week's attack on the two of you ... Jamie Dundee isn't here because of injuries suffered ... you guys are slowly becoming the walking wounded, how will you fare come the 28th when you and Jamie step into the ring against Snowman and Brown?
JC Fargo: "I know for sure, we're ready ... win or lose, Jamie and I are ready for this match. No one punks the Icons and gets away with it. The Lawler name ... the Dundee name and the Fargo name mean something in these parts and no one can come into Memphis and attack us like that without some payback coming. Come the 28th, we're dishing some out! Now, it's been Snowman and Brickhouse Brown doing all the challenging ... they've been calling us out, well today, I'm calling one of them out ... Snowman ... Brickhouse ... I want one of you in the ring ... one on one!
David Jett: "The gauntlet has been thrown down ... will the challenge be accepted ... when we come back?!?!
We head into the break with with a close-up of the grimacing Midget slamming his fist into the palm of his other hand!

We come back with JC Fargo in the ring with Bert Prentice pleading with him and the Midget not to go through with this. The Snowman, Brickhouse Brown and Reggie Bennett come out from the back to a chorus of boobirds. They are severely not liked in these parts. JC Fargo isn't listening and is ready to go but Bert Prentice isn't ready to leave just yet ...
Bert Prentice: "JC, you want this match no matter what I say to you, so you got it but Snowman, unless Brickhouse or Miss Bennett have manager's licenses, they are going to have to leave the ring area ...
Brown and Bennett throw a fit over being tossed from the ring area but the Snowman assures them that he's "got this". Reluctantly, they leave as does Bert and the Midget.
JC Fargo versus The Snowman
First solo action for either man in the ring which sees a cool and confident Snowman against the rookie Fargo who has to be held back by referee Al Hall before the start of the match. Fargo comes out like a man possessed and gets the place rocking by come out like a man on a mission. He's all over Snowman and sends the fans howling as a series of right hands sends Snowman's do-rag flying. After sending the Snowman from the ring to collect himself, Fargo tosses the Snowman's head gear into the crowd as a souvenir that riles up his opponent. Emotions get the better of him, Fargo follows to the outside to continue the attack. Getting in some good shots, Fargo seems to have things in hand but the Snowman is a cool veteran who regains his composure and is able to make it all come crashing down on the rookie.
Fargo gets a beating on the outside of the ring by getting introduced to the ring post and steps before being taken back into the ring where Snowman shows his tremendous strength by pressing his opponent. Fargo is ragdolled for a bit but is somehow able to kick out of a pin attempt when it looked like he was dead. Building on the fans cheering for him, Fargo makes a valiant comeback but the Snowman buckles down on his opponent and puts him away with a ring shaking powerslam that makes things Snowman and Company: 1, The Kick Ass Icons: 0.
We get a riled up Snowman jawing with the fans before we head into another break!

David Jett: "The Snowman and Company with their first victory inside the squared circle here in the KAW with the win over JC Fargo. Certainly not the end of things between these two factions as it all now moves forward to a tag team match on the 28th with Jamie Dundee and JC Fargo taking on the Snowman and Brickhouse Brown. Also on the card, women's wrestler, bodybuilder and powerlifter, Reggie Bennett takes on Bert Prentice! A card not to be missed ... GET YOUR TICKETS TODAY!"
Jett is joined by Reggie B. Fine, wearing an unusal accessory ... "codpiece"!
David Jett: "I've been joined by Reggie B ... WHAT IS THAT THING?!?!?
Reggie B. Fine: "After what that no good rat ... Aiesha ... Sasha ..."
David Jett: "Do you mean Tasha Simone?"
Reggie B. Fine: "That's what I said. After what she did to me on TV, I had to go to Lakeside ..."
The fans start howling over the mention of Lakeside which is a mental health and addictive behavior hospital. Even Reggie tries to keep from laughing, telling the "fools" to shut up.
David Jett: "Lakeside? I don't think they'd be treating you for an injury ... there."
Reggie B. Fine: "What do you know David Jett. You a fool like the rest of these people here. Now, let me talk. That no good rat, Tasha Simone, stole my coat and I want it back!"
Tasha Simone, draped in the supposedly ermin fur, strolls out onto the set.
Tasha Simone: "You want this back? Then you're going to have to win it back. You want to face Izzy on June 28th for a chance to win your coat back, then you better bring $300 with you because that's what it is going to cost you. You win, you get your coat back."
Reggie B. Fine: "You're on, you hood rat! I'm gonna get my coat back!"
They stroll off the set as a laughing David Jett announces the main event match.
David Jett: "Time for our main event match as we head into the second round of our tag team tournament with the Tennessee Volunteers facing Ken Timbs and Ben Jordan. The winner of this match will face the winner of next week's other semifinal on the 28th for the KAW Tag Team titles!"
The Tennessee Volunteers versus Ben Jordan & Ken Timbs
Ed Rusk checks over both teams before calling for the bell. The Vols taunt their opponents which doesn't seem to phase them one bit as the vet Timbs gives Jordan some last second instructions before starting for his team. The wily Timbs puts both Doll and Riggins through their paces to start the match and the Vols find themselves on the defensive early on. Lots of stalling and complaining to the ref from the heels. Timbs with good solid techincal mat work takes it into a commercial break.
-- Local commercials for Dixie Queen and Covington Pike Cadilliac of Memphis, along with an advertisement for the July 28th show at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse on the University of Memphis Campus --
We come back and Ben Jordan has picked up where Timbs left off. He sends Doll scurrying to the outside where we quickly get all four going at it on the floor before Rusk can break up the party. Riggins in and thumb to the eye, starts to turn things around which brings catcalls from the fans. Some double teaming and the Vols are on the comeback. Quick tags and isolation has the face team in trouble as Timbs does his best to get the fans into it.
Jordan is able to barely kick out of pinning predicaments but is unable to make a tag. TImbs is pleading with his partner and tries to rush the ring on the double teams but is forced back to his corner each time.
FINALLY! We get a hot tag and Timbs is on the warpath! Lefts! Rights! He floors both Vols repeatedly and has the fans chanting his name. Ben Jordan comes in and they nail both with double team moves of their own before celebrating in the center of the ring. With the referee leading Jordan to his corner, Timbs takes a running knee to the back. Whipped into his own corner, he is tagged out by Jordan who comes in guns blazing. While Rusk helps Timbs out of the ring, Jordan whips a pleading Doll hard into the corner and sets up for a monkey flip but with referee eyes elsewhere Reno Riggins stiff clothesline from the ring apron goes unnoticed. Elbow drop from Doll before pulling Jordan to his feet and with a hand full of hair, a Forward Russian legsweep ends the match just like that. The Tennessee Volunteers have moved on to the finals in the KAW Tag Team Tournament!
Steve Doll: "ONE MORE, BABY! ONE MORE!"
The show comes to an end with Reno Riggins tossing Ben Jordan out of the ring as the Vols celebrate their victory.
