Kick Ass Wrestling
Live from the WLMT-TV 30 Studios
6/17/1992
1 am
Memphis, Tennessee
It's generic, it's cheesy ... IT'S THE KICK ASS WRESTLING LOGO EXPLODING ONTO THE SCREEN. As that all goes away, we are inside a television studio with ...
the returning Corey Maclin
Maclin excuses himself after yawning!
Corey Maclin: "Excuse me! Welcome rasslin' fans to KAW! It may be late but we have another big show for you this week with Kevin Christopher in action and the Tennessee Volunteers will be in the studio today."
Maclin jumps back and the camera swings around to focus in on a large wrapped package on the floor of the studio. It zooms in for a close-up and there is a thump from inside the box which appears to move. SOMETHING IS MOVING INSIDE THE BOX!
Corey Maclin: "I don't know what that is but maybe we can get to the bottom of it today! Right on cue, here comes Bert Prentice ..."
Prentice saunters out to Maclin and slaps him on the shoulder.
Corey Maclin: "Good evening ... or should I say morning, Bert? Thanks for joining us today. Now, I gotta ask you ... what's that box all about? If there is anyone here who knows just what's goin' on, it has to be you."
Bert Prentice: "Corey, you better believe I know what is exactly in that box but before we get to that, I want to tell all the fans about this Monday night and Kick Wrestling at the Coliseum ..."
Corey Maclin: "Now, hold on there, Bert ... you know as well as I do, the USWA has the Coliseum on Monday nights. KAW IS NOT at the Coliseum on Monday."
Bert Prentice: "They aren't? Well ... they should be."
Corey Maclin: "Come on now, Bert. You know that Jerry and ..."
Bert Prentice: "That's right ... Jerry. This is why Kick Wrestling WILL NOT BE at the Coliseum on Monday night! Get that graphic up!"
The fans have a mixed reaction to the graphic that is displayed ...
Corey Maclin: "Come on, Bert, you can't do that. Alright fans, when we come back ... Kevin Christopher in action!"
Bert Prentice: "LAWLER!"
Maclin takes it to a commercial as the Mid-South Coliseum picture with King Jerry is put back up.

We come back and Corey Maclin and Bert Prentice watch as referee Al Hall hits the ring for our first match.
Corey Maclin: "You never said what was in the box?"
Bert Prentice: "That's right Corey, and I am not going to. What I will tell you is that it is just a little show of appreciation to Kevin, Jamie and JC, the Kick Icons. I am so glad the boys are here to lead Kick Wrestling.
Corey Maclin: "Okay then, let's go to the ring for our opening match!"
The YellowJacket versus Kevin Lawler w/Jamie Dundee and JC Fargo
Little bit of a slow start with the masked man taking the heel role with some stalling and slow breaks along the ropes. The fans show their displeasure and boo like mad when he slaps Kevin on the break. A little bit of strutting his stuff and the masked man finds Kevin to be no punching bag, taking a series of dropkicks that sends him running from the ring. Kevin follows outside with a slingshot crossbody to the outside that wipes out both men. Liberal counting from the ref before it gets back in the ring and the cheating YellowJacket gets the upperhand for a bit, punching his way around the ring. After being whipped across the ring, Kevin is caught but lands a hiptoss on his feet before he floors the Jacket with a big dropkick. The fans get into it led by the other Icons to fire up their partner. A big monkey flip almost gets Kevin the match but the Jacket kicks out at 2. A chopfest trade off between the two before the YellowJacket slaps Kevin once again. Not shy, Kevin asks for another and drops the shoulder strap when he gets it before unloading right hands. We get a scoop slam and Kevin with a fist drop from the middle rope gives him his first KAW win on TV, all this in under seven minutes of action.
The Icons celebrate Kevin's victory before joining Corey and Bert.
Corey Maclin: "Congratulations Kevin on your win."
Kevin Lawler: "Thank you, Corey, Bert."
Bert Prentice: "Kevin, we're all happy to have you and the rest of the Kick Icons here and as a show of our support, I've gotten you a little gift. Just a little something for you to take along with y'all."
Kevin Lawler: "Thanks Bert, we appreciate hearing that."
Corey takes a step back as Kevin starts to unwrap the large box. The grinning Bert nods his head as Kevin tears away at the box, sending paper flying in all directions. WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!
IT'S ...
IT'S ...
IT'S ...
A LITTLE GUY?!?!
Corey Maclin: "COME ON BERT! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!"
Bert Prentice: "Corey Maclin, stop being a hater ... I can and I did!"
Corey Maclin can only shake his head in disbelief while heading into a commercial break, Kevin Lawler flying off the middle rope with a fist drop on the prone YellowJacket plays in slow motion.

We come back from the break and Corey Maclin is still shaking his head in disbelief when he is joined by the Tennessee Volunteers, carrying the tag straps over their shoulders.
Steve Doll: "Corey Maclin, the best of the best have just arrived. Knoxville's Tennessee Volunteers, me and Reno Riggins ... YOUR Tag Team champions. We've come to Tennessee's armpit to do what we do best and that is WIN."
Corey Maclin: "Tonight, you put those belts on the line against Professor Tony Falk's graduates from the prestigious FALK U!"
All three stifle a laugh as the Falk U chants start up from the audience and grow louder when Doll tells them all to shut up.
Steve Doll: "Belts? We're not putting the belts up against these guys ... who have they beaten to deserve a shot at OUR belts."
Here comes Bert Prentice once again, this time with a pair of belts over his shoulders!
Bert Prentice: "Steve, Reno ... you won't be putting the belts on the line tonight against the FALK U grads ... BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT THE CHAMPIONS!"
A WTF moment that blows the roof off and sends the Vols into a hissy fit! Riggins has to hold back Doll who is holding his belt out for Prentice to see a little closer.
Bert Prentice: "I don't know where you got those belts but THESE are the Kick Wrestling Tag Team Title Belts ... not those! In the next couple of weeks, I will have more information on a tag team tournament for the REAL belts!"
Corey Maclin: "LET'S GO TO THE RING!
FALK U! w/Prof. Tony Falk versus the Tennessee Volunteers
The Vols come out on fire, taking advantage of the newest Grad, Kevin Kanady. Quick series of tags and the Vols show why they might just be the best tag team in KAW ... if not all of Memphis! The isolated Kanady does his best to ground Riggins and gets him down but Doll breaks it up whenever things get to the mat. The smaller Taylor has some success working Riggins leg ... and it is time for a commercial!
Heading into the break, Big Sid's angry face pops on the screen with a graphic noting that Sid's coming to Memphis and the KAW!

The match is back in progress with FALK U! working in tandem while Steve Doll complains loudly. He runs into the ring and all four are in at once with FALK U! taking out the Volunteers with a pair of single leg takedowns. Referee Ed Rusk restores order and admonishes both corners while the Professor gives his boys a peptalk!
The first of the FALK U! chants starts up that has Doll kicking at the ropes while holding his ears. Across the ring, the Professor pounds the ring apron to get the crowd even more fired up while waving a towel around! The Vols regain control of the match when Todd Morton comes out to the ring. Doll with a vertical suplex and leg drop brings in Riggins when he sees Morton outside of the ring. Doll and Morton have some words while Riggins works over Scott Taylor. A whip into the corner and Riggins lays into Taylor with a volley of fists when he sees what's going on outside the ring.
We get a huge slap to the face from Morton that spins Doll around while Riggins starts between the ropes. Taylor with a waistlock pulls him back into the ring ... SU-PLAY! A quick tag and his partner is in with a half nelson and rolls Riggins to his back ... WE'VE GOT THE ...

THE FALK U! GRADS HAVE STOLEN ONE HERE! They celebrate while Steve Doll dives into the ring too late to break up the pin! A smiling Todd Morton, with a little payback, points to his head while the Vols argue with the ref as the show goes off the air!
