Lance Russell & Dave Brown open the show by letting us know that we've got a loaded program this morning.

Here is the rundown:

Opening Match "Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido takes on Scott Armstrong in a preview to the upcoming USWA Jr. Heavyweight Title Tournament.

The Bruise Brothers will be in action!

A featured bout pitting the former USWA Tag Team Champions against each other as "Nightmare" Danny Davis battles Brian Christopher in yet another preview bout for the upcoming Jr. Heavyweight title tournament!

Brickhouse Brown will be in action!

Our "Featured Match" is in question, but as it stands Jeff Jarrett defends the USWA TV5 Championship against Billy Joe Travis!

PLUS so much more, including a look back at the events of this past Monday Night!

We're taking a quick break but when we return it's with Scott Armstrong going one on one with "the Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido!

We're back and it's to the ring! Scott Armstrong is not alone as he's brought the youngest of the Armstrong clan Brian Armstrong with him for support.

After some chain wrestling, Scott takes over forcing Candido to resort to some stalling tactics out on the floor after a well placed drop kick. Candido gets into it with Brian, allowing the official to get involved. This leads to Rumble working in some shots on Scott as he's draped across the middle rope. Scott makes a comeback with the crowd solidly behind him, comes off the ropes, and yeah Rumble trips him up allowing Candido to quickly follow up with a legdrop to the back of the neck and cover for the tainted victory, with Scott kicking up just after 3.

Chris Candido & Triple B join Lance Russell at the interview set.

Lance Russell: " A heavy favorite in the up coming Jr. Heavyweight title tournament, with yet another tainted victory here today on TV... "

Chris Candido: " Tainted victory? Tainted victory? Maybe his boots weren't laced correctly, 'cause what I saw Mr. Russell was a man fall flat on his face, and the SUICIDE BLONDE take advantage of a situation. "

Lance Russell: " Oh come on, you know very well what Tony Rumble did there.. Your luck just may be running out, as this Monday at the Mid South Coliseum you'll be teaming with Chris Hamrick against Scott Armstrong & a man who you've had a few run in with recently, Brian Christopher.... "

Boston Bad Boy: " Bruthah, you may just be right. Yah' see we don't think it's fair that MY MAN, the SUICIDE BLONDE, the man WHO'S READY TAH BRING DA GOLD TO THE BRUTHAHOOD, has to team with one of YAH DIRTY, STINKING, BACKWATER, INBREEDS in Chris Hamrick, but I'm GONNAH tell YAH RIGHT NOW, it'll BE THE BEST CHRIS HAMRICK MATCH YOU'VE EVER SEEN!"

Chris Candido: " It's not about Chris Hamrick, Scott Armstrong, or anyone else out there... this is CHRIS CANDIDO'S WORLD, everyone else is just living with it Mr. Russell. Boston Bad Boy: " (rubbing Chris shoulders) See what you've done by teaming MY MAN with that goof Hamrick this Monday Night, he's all worked up, and that's BAD NEWS FOR SCOTT ARMSTRONG AND BRIAN CHRISTOPHER BRUTHA! "

The Bad Boy & Candido walk off, BBB rubbing the shoulders of Candido all the way to the back.

BUT FIRST a very special look a tag team that's coming back to the area this Monday Night at the Mid South Coliseum.. Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton the world famous: Fantastics! "

Selected Highlights air of Tommy Rogers & Bobby Fulton mixing it up all throughout the NWA set to the tune of ZZ Top's Sharped Dressed Man. Clips of all their key moves the likes of the Rocket Launcher and the top rope Double Dropkick mixed in with highlights of them hitting on a girls at a local bar, and partying it up. Think the real life version of this video for the UWF (couldn't find it on youtube anymore) but yeah you've got the point.

Commercial Break

We're back and it's to Lance & Dave taking us to highlights from this past Monday's Mid South Coliseum Main Event that saw Jerry "The King" Lawler defend his USWA Heavyweight Championship against top contender and fellow fan favorite "Universal Heartthrob" Austin Idol. We're told that we've also got pre-recorded comments from Austin Idol attached to the video.

And it's clips of the event, focussing mainly on the final few minutes where "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert would get involved and get into it with Jerry Lawler on the outside costing him the match as a result of a count out. The real controversial is what followed as Austin Idol would make off WITH THE USWA CHAMPIONSHIP. Remember titles do NOT change hands via count out, and thus Jerry Lawler is STILL the USWA Heavyweight Champion despite Austin Idol being in possession of the gold.

We then cut to Austin Idol himself with these pre-recored comments!

Idol has the belt positioned NEXT to him, on display on top of a stool.

Austin Idol: " Don't get it twisted fans, the 'Universal Heartthrob' is no fool, he's well aware that he's got no right to come on out here and claim to be the USWA Heavyweight Champion. Now that may confuse some people out there, if I don't believe I'm the champion, if I know, and as a man who's headlined just about every major arena in the world, trust me I KNOW titles do NOT change hands via count out, then just why did I make off with this title? It's real, real simple. What this belt is right here and now, well.. it's insurance. That's right insurance, 'cause it INSURES that that COWARD JERRY LAWLER can't just move on and shove me to the back of the line! You see for MONTHS I asked for a title shot, and that CHICKEN, that COWARD Jerry Lawler ducked me time and time again. WELL, there's no way he can duck me now is there? Now I know what you're saying, COWARD JERRY LAWLER? How can Jerry Lawler be a coward all of a sudden? It's SIMPLE, he KNOWS he can't beat me. That's why this past Monday Night he went and PICKED A FIGHT with EDDIE GILBERT and got himself counted out. HE CAN'T BEAT ME, it's just that simple. Lance is at the podieum now, and he lets us all know that EDDIE MARLIN has sent word to Mr. Idol that if he FAILS to return the title by the end of this program he will be TERMINATED FROM THE USWA[/b]! The talk then turns to events this past Monday Night that saw the brash and arrogant Wolfie D lose a match to Brickhouse Brown only to attack him from behind and spray paint a yellow streak down his back! We're about to see Brickhouse Brown in just a few short moments against Shaun Summers but FIRST Lance welcomes Brown to the podium for some comments!

Lance Russell: " Now Brickhouse, without question this coming Monday Night you're stepping into the ring with Wolfie D one more time with vengeance on your mind. "

Brickhouse Brown: " Lance that goes without saying. Wolfie D set out to make a fool out of me this past Monday Night, and did just that. But BRICKHOUSE BROWN ain't no damn fool. He's prancing around acting like he's the king of the streets, when he ain't spent a single night out there. So I'm bringing the streets to Wolfie D at the Mid South Coliseum, and BOY you ain't seen nothing yet! "

We then go to the ring where Shaun Summers awaits!

Young Summers gets some offense in the early going, but in the end it's all Brickhouse. Brown makes it short a sweet pinning Summers in just under 4 minutes with a headbutt off the second rope.

Post Match- As Brown celebrates his victory he's attacked from behind by WOLFIE D! Wolfie again gets the better of Brown, laying him out with a DDT! He grabs his trusty spray can and attempts the yellow streak yet again, but KOKO B. WARE hits the ring running him off! As Koko checks on Brown, Wolfie makes his way over to the podium where a disgusted Lance Russell gets a word.

Lance Russell: " Wolfie D, what's the meaning of all this? Come on now, haven't you already done enough.. "

Wolfie D: " PLZZZZ Russell, all I did was defend myself! Brickhouse Brown's out here doubting my street cred, man, I had to step up and show him a thing or two about the STREETS! And KOKO WARE? What's up with THAT Russell? Eh? "

Lance Russell: " He's just out here doing what's right.. "

Wolfie D: " What's right is not what's up.. Wolfie D, NOW THAT's WHAT'S UP! "

Wolfie D walks off to boo's as Koko Ware shouts in his direction.

Lance is back at the booth with Dave. They briefly discuss the fact that they BOTH agree that Wolfie D needs to adjust his attitude here in the USWA. We're told up next we'll have the BRUISE BROTHERS in action, BUT FIRST we talk about how they got into it with the USWA Tag Team Champions: The Disciples this past Monday Night at the Mid-South Coliseum. Brief clips are shown, before we're taking to pre recored comments from Daryl Van Horne.

And it's with the Disciples manager "The Harbinger Of Doomsday" Daryl Van Horne standing behind a cheesy graphic that reads "DISCIPLES OF A NEW DAWN" in air brush.

Daryl Van Horne: " In order for one to truly understand the events of this past Monday Night, one must first take into account the difference between MY Disciples & the supposed "heroes" known as the Bruise Brothers. Make sure to realize that I am NOT doubting their credentials, just pointing out the obvious. Unlike the twin saviors, my MEN are NOT WOLVES in SHEEPS CLOTHING... they are exactly what they appear to be, MONSTERS devoid of all human emotions... STRIPED OF ALL BELIEFS beyond one important one.. DRESS YOURSELF in the GOLD OF MORTAL MEN, and PERHAPS then DOOMSDAY will be impressed... Corey wraps things up by stating it'll be one heck of a card this Monday Night, with all eyes on the main event in particular for sure!

Lance Russell: " A man without a title, King I'm sure you've heard what Austin Idol had to say about you, and the USWA Championship as you head into this Monday Night's big title defense Vs. Eddie Gilbert, it's without the title... unless Austin Idol does the right thing and returns the belt by the end of the day. "

Jerry Lawler: " Well Lance, it's safe to say Austin Idol's lost his mind, BUT I know this business means the world to him, at least as far back as a I remember, so I'm confident he'll do the right thing and bring back that belt. BUT, that still doesn't change the fact that I've HAD ABOUT ENOUGH of Idol coming out here on TV and running my name thru the mud. Last Monday Night we went out there and put it ALL on the line, and of course that goof Eddie Gilbert had to go on ahead and stick his nose where it didn't belong. BUT FOR IDOL to come on out here and insinuate that I would purposely pick a fight with Eddie Gilbert in HOPES of getting disqualified is the silliest thing I have ever heard in ALL my years in this business. Week after week, month after month, year after YEAR for crying out loud I have taken on any and all challengers. From Andre the Giant, Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, monsters like big Sid, punks like Eddie Gilbert, and YES even AUSTIN IDOL. NEVER ONCE have I backed down, and I'm NOT about to start now. "

Lance Russell: " You name 'em, if they've come thru here the King's taken 'em all on. "

Jerry Lawler: " That's right Lance. So I'm going to say it just one last time, no name calling, no ill will behind it. Monday Night, Eddie Gilbert I'm PUNCHING YOUR LIGHTS OUT ONCE AND FOR ALL... and when the dust clears, we'll come back to the Mid South Coliseum for Memorial Day in two weeks, and Austin Idol you'll have your title shot..."

Eddie Gilbert: " I'm sick of this show Jerry... I didn't come on out here to listen and watch an episode of Moonlighting with Austin Idol & Jerry Lawler fighting over who gets to play Bruce Willis and who gets to play Sibil. I came here in hopes of getting a word with Eddie Marlin, and more importantly a word with you. You see Lawler... "

Jerry Lawler: " Cram it Gilbert... you know something all this controversy, this thing between Idol & myself, it's all because of you stirring the pot... and let me tell you something I've had just about enough of it.. way I see it we don't have to wait for Monday Night, we don't have to wait for Idol to show up with the title, we can do this RIGHT HERE right now! "

Eddie Gilbert: " Easy there KINGFISH... you're saying forget about the Mid-South Coliseum, we can do this RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW? "

Jerry Lawler: " That's right Gilbert, you want the sh.."

Eddie Marlin makes his way out..

Lance Russell: " Well Eddie Marlin, we've got two guys ready to go right here and now, they don't want to wait for the Mid South Coliseum.. "

Eddie Marlin: " King if this is what you want, then you've got it... later on today right here this morning on Championship Wrestling, Jerry Lawler goes one on one with Eddie Gilbert for the USWA Heavyweight Championship!"

Eddie Gilbert: " Haha.. Kingfish that's just what I was hoping for. The Eddie Gilbert era kicks off two days early, bow down to Memphis' TRUE KING fans! "

Lawler clenches his fist as Lance takes us to a quick commercial, when we return Brian Christopher goes one on one with his good friend "Nightmare" Danny Davis!

We return and it's with Lance at the podium talking about the up coming USWA Jr. Heavyweight Title Tournament. Apparently we'll have brackets next week and the event will take MEMORIAL DAY at the Mid South! Out of nowhere he's interrupted by a smiling Billy Joe Travis & his debuting muscle bound body guard Rod (Rod Price)!

Lance Russell: " Billy Joe Travis, you're not scheduled out here just yet, and just who in the world is this you have with you here? "

Billy Joe Travis: " This is Rod, the bodyguard, the KEEPER of the guitar, you know the guitar that has JEFF JARRETT's NAME WRITTEN ALL DOWN IT's backside!"

Rod shows off the guitar, which does indeed have the name "Jarrett" written in athletic tape down the back of it.

Lance Russell: " We've got Jr. heavyweight action coming up regardless, you're not scheduled to be here just yet.. "

Billy Joe Travis: " And yet Lance, here I am. I'm out here right now, 'cause I just overheard EDDIE MARLIN telling someone that Jeff Jarrett isn't here this morning.."

Lance: " There had been rumors throughout the day he might not make it, but you know why, you're responsible. Hitting a man with a guitar... "

Billy Joe Travis: " Yeah, yeah... it's doesn't matter why Lance... all that matters it what that means to ME. The greatest singing 'rassler is about to once again become the greatest singing Television Champion.. haha.... 'cause the thing is, you and I both know, that title is to be defended each and every week here on TV, and if Jeff Jarrett can't be here and I'M the challenger for the week, that makes me THE BRAND NEW USWA TV5 CHAMPEEN... I'm so excited I just might sing a song, RIGHT HERE on Championship Wrestling Lance... "

Lance Russell: " Let's just take a look at the footage before we jump to conclusions, as I'm sure Eddie Marlin's going to have quite a lot to say about the fate of the Television Champion, and the condition of Jeff Jarrett. "

It's from last week right here on Championship Wrestling and Jarrett being laid out with a guitar after successfully defending against "Suicide Blonde" Chris Candido at the hands of Billy Joe Travis. Lance sells the effects of the injury as we see footage then from Monday Night at the Mid South Coliseum during a non-title match with Billy Joe, focussing on Jarrett collapsing in the center of the ring.

Back to the studio with Eddie Marlin standing next to Lance now as Billy Joe Travis is all smiles.

Lance Russell: " The most important question I've got for you Eddie, how's Jeff doing? "

Eddie Marlin: " Well he's gonna be alright, just needs a few weeks or so off before he can perform out here for these people. I promised him a shot at this TV title in my hands here the second he's ready to... "

Billy Joe Travis: " Eddie, Eddie save the sob story for after you've handed me, MY TV5 Championship! "

Eddie Marlin: " Fine by me, you want it... you got it"

Marlin hands the belt over, Billy Joe raises it high in the air.

Eddie Marlin: " But the thing is Billy Joe, as you said the TV5 Championship is to be defended EACH AND EVERY WEEK here on TV, and now that you're the champion you've got to defended it RIGHT HERE this week. So since you're out here right now.. *SUPERSTAR* BILL DUNDEE COME OUT FOR YOUR TV5 TITLE SHOT! "

Travis shouts at Eddie Marlin screaming that it's not fair as BILL DUNDEE & KOKO WARE are at the podium now with KOKO WARE brawling to the back with the Rod the Bodyguard! Dundee unloads on Billy before sending him into the ring. THE TV5 CHAMPIONSHIP IS ON THE LINE RIGHT NOW FANS!

The match isn't long, it's fast paced with Billy Joe backtracking quite a bit and Dundee completely in control. Billy's in a panic but then comes to the realization that he's the champion, shouting into the camera " Wait I'm the CHAMPEEN! " he grabs up the guitar and heads into the ring looking to get himself disqualified, Lance & Dave voice their disgust of course as Dundee turns around, AND AVOIDS THE GUITAR SHOT! BILLY JOE MAKES CONTACT WITH THE RING POST AND THE GUITAR SHATTERS! Dundee cradles 'em up from behind...

3!!! *SUPERSTAR* BILL DUNDEE IS THE NEW TV5 CHAMPION! History has been made as the TV title has changed hands not once, BUT TWICE right here on Championship Wrestling!

Post Match- As Dundee celebrates it comes to his attention that Billy Joe Travis is CRYING IN THE CENTER OF THE RING! Dundee walks over to Lance who congratulates him on his win, after thanking the voice of Memphis Wrestling, Dundee turns his attention to what's going on in the ring.

Bill Dundee: " You've got to be kidding me mate, CRYING? Really? It only makes this sweeter... "

Dundee leads the crowd in a "CRY BABY" chant in Billy Joe Travis' direction, as Travis covers his ears. Lance says we've gotta take a break, again congratulating Bill Dundee on his win, and let's us know that when we return it's as scheduled Brian Christopher going one on one with "Nightmare" Danny Davis in a preview to the Jr. Heavyweight Title Tournament! As we go to break it's a quick little replay of Dundee's win set to the Championship Wrestling theme.

Both men show each other a tremendous amount of respect at the start shaking hands. It's a very mat based contest with neither man dominating for an extended period of time. Chris Candido & Tony Rumble are out with note pads scouting the bout. They end up leaving mid way thru. Davis gets an extremely close near fall off a back suplex, only for Christopher to come back with a Northern Lights suplex for just the same moments later. As the time limit nears each man trades roll ups, with Christopher on top JUST AS the bell sounds!

After they shake hands in the ring, Lance brings BOTH men over for a quick word. I'm just going to bottom line it for you, they each talk about how it could have gone either way today on TV with more time, put over the Jr. Heavyweight division, and when the talk turns to Chris Candido, Davis says part of the competition is not just about the Jr. Heavyweight Championship but also to see just who gets to shut up the New Jersey JERK once and for all.

Lance takes us to a commercial break, letting us know when we return the USWA Heavyweight Championship is on the line as "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert challenges Jerry "the King" Lawler just DAYS before their showdown at the Mid South Coliseum! Will Austin Idol return the USWA Heavyweight Championship?

We're back and it's to the ring for our main event! The USWA Championship is ON THE LINE here this morning as Jerry "The King" Lawler the champion WITHOUT the championship defends against "Hot Stuff" Eddie Gilbert!

We circle a bit at the start, with Gilbert heeling it up by asking for the King to be checked by the official, but to no avail. Lock up see's the King back him into the corner and we get a surprisingly clean break. We repeat the spot with Gilbert backing the King into the corner, and it's more of the same. Eddie's all smiles as we lock up again, and yet again the King is backed into the corner and WHAMO HUGE RIGHT HAND FROM EDDIE FLOORS the KING! "Hot Stuff' smiles as the King pulls himself to his feet. We repeat the spot one more time with Eddie again catching him with a solid right hand! Eddie motions for the championship, oozing confidence. Lock up, Eddie fires the King into the ropes, drop down and WHAMO huge back elbow from Gilbert floors Lawler! Elbow drop on the follow up MISSES! The King fires 'em into the ropes and SCORES with a well placed dropkick! Eddie's to his feet but he's QUICKLY begging off as Jerry is as fired up as can be! As he holds at his face, you can hear Gilbert freaking APOLOGIZING for being the first to break the rules, but yeah King isn't having any of it fans! We lock up again with Gilbert backing the King into a corner, and breaking clean perhaps to calm Jerry down BUT WHAMO LAWLER SCORES WITH A HUGE RIGHT HAND FLOORING GILBERT! Idol pulls up on a HARLEY DAVIDSON looking cool as all heck, carrying the USWA Heavyweight Championship! The camera cuts back to the ring.. where LAWLER reverses Gilbert's posting attempt and sends Eddie shoulder first into the ring post! Lawler heads to the ring as the official begins to count Eddie out... HERE COMES AUSTIN IDOL! Idol's on the apron... he shouts... "KING YOU WANT THE BELT BACK, HERE'S YOUR DAMN BELT!" as Lawler turns around and WHAMO IDOL CRACKS HIM UPSIDE THE SKULL WITH THE USWA HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!! Lawler is down, and the official didn't see any of it fans! Idol leaves to a mixed reaction... as Eddie recovers.. confused... dazed.. but he see's the King down and out and is QUICK to capitalize... Lance & Dave then wrap things up by reminding the fans of what we saw here today this morning. Chris Candido defeated Scott Armstrong with help from the Boston Bad Boy Tony Rumble at 6:16. Brickhouse Brown was victorious against Shaun Summers at just 3:49. The Bruise Brothers made short work of the Masked Executioner & David Young in just 20 seconds. Billy Joe Travis was handed the TV5 Championship only to lose it just moments later to "Superstar" Bill Dundee in 5:48. No winner in Brian Christopher & Danny Davis as they battled to a 10 Minute Time Limit Draw, and of course the main event Eddie Gilbert defeated Jerry "the King" Lawler at 4:58 thanks to Austin Idol and is now the NEW USWA Heavyweight Champion.

As a follow-up to your first show, I gotta agree with Sickness about you "getting" the formula. After the MSC show, I couldn't wait to see your TV and after reading this, I can't wait for Monday night!

Not only does it read like Memphis but your characterizations are spot on. From the excitable Candido going ballistic with Rumble rubbing his shoulders, to the cool and cocky Wolfie D trying to establish his "street cred" to the weird Van Horne, to the "Champeen" Billy Joe to the relatively calm true King of Mempho, Jerry Lawler who knows that he'll get his rematch, then watch out because he's punching someone's lights out! All of them very different that draw you in.

Really good stuff as far as the matches go which all leads to Monday night's show. Can't wait!

Show runs about an hour and a half... half an hour less than the real life Memphis feed, but every tape I have of Memphis is out of Evansville where a half hour was edited out... so yeah an hour and a half works just fine .

It's gonna all lead to the exact same amount of content I provided in Dream Gate, as I'll be running the Monday Night detailed MSC show, then a less detailed (standard house show) set of shows from Louisville & Evansville on Tuesday & Wed. Good Second show here I've not got a problem at all with Bill Dundee winning the TV5 title.

I like the way you are establishing Wolfie D character I tried to work on creating a character for him over on WCFL but never felt that I got it right I think you should do a better job with him than I ever did in my short time in Hawaii.

Fun freaking show, for sure. You've definitely got the feel & formula for Memphis down to a science, man. It's crazy cool how you can seamlessly transition from the fast-pace of stuff like Dream Gate to the hardcore stuff you did with Philly & now this here with the USWA. I said it before, but you're a chameleon, bro. You're a talented writer that simply blends into his surroundings with ease. Your approach & style is always adapted to fit the region you're booking. Bravo, sir.

Now this was just good old southern fried 'rasslin on full display. The show definitely had that Mempho sizzle & flavor all over it. Those traits were certainly evident in the main event. The slow, methodical write-up is a stark contrast to the fast & furious strong style you gave us in Dream Gate, but it simply belongs here. Gilbert's attitude was as awesome as ever, and your portrayal of the King was right on target. Good stuff. Loved the little bits of comedy you sprinkled throughout it. Perfect for this area.

As I said, you've got the formula down. In Memphis, it's a cycle. You book the TV to lead to the Coliseum, and you hook them on Monday night to draw their attention back to the TV show. Rinse & repeat. In just one week's time, you've already shown us that is where your intentions lie & you've got a knack for it. Thumbs up for that.

As good as your Gilbert is (not even missing Snow right now!), I've just GOT to give you some praise for the treatment of Austin Idol as well. Kudos for dusting off his character & giving it new life, man. This guy has a presence that just screams, "Too Effing Cool" for cliches. He's got that outsider Hall & Nash appeal with the way you're writing him. He feels above good & evil. It's a fine line to walk, but you're handling it brilliantly thus far. Keep that coming.

Your roster is structured extremely well, and I can tell you designed it that way when organizing your picks. As a result, your cards are reaping the benefits. We've got entertaining stories & ongoing angles from the main event to the mid-card, over to the tag division & all the way down to the under-card. It's fun to see you give personalities like Wolfie D and Brick some limelight here. You seem to give each & every character a purpose & an identity. Good to see that.

I'm absolutely loving the pairing of Rumble & Candido. You played their interaction with Lance flawlessly. Candido's short fuse & hot-headed temper was a nice touch, along with Rumble's thick Boston accent. It just combined for one awesome little segment, man. I'm just itching to see the series with Brian Christopher begin at this rate.

I dig the stuff you're doing with Van Horne. The Harbinger of Doomsday? Hmm. It's got me thinking. Pretty sure you have something up your sleeve there. In the meantime, his promo spot was neat. Bonus points for poking a little fun at the cheesy air-brushed graphics, which (for WHATEVER REASON) seemed to be all the rage in wrestling back in those days. It's a small detail, but it's one of the things that truly shines in your writing. You never hesitate to take a moment out to give us a little wink & a nod at something like that. It keeps things light, and that's not lost on me at all. Always good for a grin and a laugh.

The Fantastics are coming in? Heck. Yes. I was probably a little harsh on your Coliseum show, because of the state of the tag division, but it feels true to the territory. Plus, as you slowly introduce other duos, the competition could drastically improve. I'm always on board for a solid Harris Twins push, although I thought the H-Bomb was more of a dual Hip Toss into Powerbomb type maneuver, rather than a Double Flapjack? I may be mistaken on that.

The situation surrounding the TV Title was just gold. Loved every bit of that. This was my highlight of the night. While I'm never really big on hot-shot title changes, this felt genuine & authentic to Memphis. Besides, it's an excellent way to kick-start things around here. It sets the stage well for future stories. With Jarrett injured, deserving of an automatic rematch upon his return, Dundee swooping in & conquering the belt in the meantime, Travis still with a grudge against Double J - and now against the Superstar as well, this was just a great way to get so much accomplished in such quick fashion. Well done, sir.

Eager to see what's on the horizon here. Things are definitely off to a roaring good start.

The driving force of Memphis TV has always been the promos, and man did they come out to shine this week! From Wolfie D playing up his street tough image (I swear, I think you may have created a catch phrase with “What’s right ain’t what’s up!”), to Candido going spastic and ranting about wrestling bears, to Daryl Van Horne’s cryptic and bizarre prophesies (will we see the birth of his “Click – Doomsday!” catchphrase from TNA, which would actually be quite fitting for Glen Jacobs), to Austin Idol walking the ‘tweener line as only he can with his believable logic behind stealing the Heavyweight Title belt, to Lawler getting the mike TWICE, everyone was in character and moving their individual plots forward. With the self serving twenty minute “HHH promo” having become the norm in modern day wrestling, it’s easy to forget that the original purpose of the wrestling promo was to convince fans to buy a ticket to the next show. Every promo on this show, at its heart, did just that.

Good use of Koko B. Ware thus far! At this point in time in real life Koko was in High Energy territory, and more closely resemble a black Jim Neidhart rather than muscular high flyer we always think of him as, but even now with his ability starting to taper off he is still capable of great things. Teaming him up with Brickhouse Brown is an excellent start, and I can honestly see them becoming a top team in this region, but with the two of them together Wolfie D’s going to need an equalizer. Could this be going where I think its going? If so, I’ve got a happy dance already on deck!

The Bruise Brothers look absolutely unstoppable! I’ve got to think that it’s only a matter of time before we see these guys with the belts! I think Daryl Van Horne made a valid point in his promo, though. Did the Harris Twins save Danny Davis just so they could jump to the front of the line and get a title shot? With all great heels, there’s just enough truth in the lie to make it believable.

I liked the ten minute draw between Brian Christopher and Danny Davis. Both guys come out looking good and earn the fans respect, and at the same time it clear paints Nightmare Danny as legitimate contender for the Junior Heavyweight Title. Up until this show, it was clearly a two dog race between Christopher and Candido, but now with Davis firmly in the mix it is now anybody’s game as to who will win the tournament.

I think the most authentic thing about your USWA is that the titles are already being hotshotted! We’re only one week into the product and we have THREE title changes on a single program! I love it! For whatever reason, Randy Hale loved to constantly switch up the champions. One of my vivid (and frequent) memories of 1990’s USWA was turning on the TV and hearing the announcement that a NEW Unified Champion had been crowned...and it was STILL Jerry Lawler! Dave Brown would of course explain that Lawler lost the belt at MSC, but won it back in Tupelo, leaving us with “Meet the new champ, same as the old champ!” At the time, that got real old real quick, but now I simply can’t imagine USWA without all those title switches.

That leads me to an honest question that may be better suited for the Discussion Thread. One of the big things Randy Hales loved to do in the late ’80s through the ‘90s was to book the same title change (let’s say the Nightmares beating the Stud Stable for the tag belts) through his entire house show loop, so that every major city could say (and think) they saw the title switch and benefit from the increased ticket sales that would result. Can such a thing be translated into fantasy booking? Things like this or TV tapings that spoiled future title changes months in advance (including the Freebirds famed negative title reign) were the booking norm in a pre internet wrestling world, yet we never see such things written in fantasy wrestling. Could they be, or would being that faithful ruin the fun? For example, the big obstacle in booking fantasy house shows is that to run them the way they were in real life (reusing the exact same card with the exact same results in every city on an entire tour) would be incredibly monotonous for the reader, and I could easily see that being the case in this instance as well. So what are your thoughts, dear readers and writers?

As for the title changes themselves, they were masterfully executed and leave you with a number of booking choices in both instances. With the TV5 Title, for instance, because of the double title switch, Jeff Jarrett has two ready made feuds waiting for him when he comes back to action; getting revenge on Billy Joe Travis for taking him out as well as a title chase with new champ Bill Dundee. The same goes with the Heavyweight title change, as not only can Lawler chase Eddie Gilbert for the belt while attempting to avenge himself against Austin Idol, but Idol can likewise go after Gilbert (since becoming champion is his main objective) while fighing off the King. Both of your Big Two titles are ripe with possibilities, and it’s all thanks to the hotshotting!

I have to agree with Grape Ape that this show was an action packed punch in the mouth. From beginning to end there was just substance, substance, and more substance.

You've managed to build up a Grudge Match in two weeks that actually feels like a grudge match. A wonderful character has been crafted for Wolfie D and I get the feeling that Brown is going to be a sort've "gatekeeper" here in Memphis. And there's a tailor made feud with Koko just waiting for him.

The promo with Candido was just superb. I can already see him being a future NWA Jr. Heavyweight Champion with your booking.

The best thing about Idol's actions are that they are completely justified. I, for one, would feel the exact same way he does. I also have to agree that I dug the "epitome of cool" personality he has going on.

Damn. I would not wanna be the Bruise Brothers right now. Van Horne sounds down right diabolical and I can't tell you enough how much I like the Disciples so far.

The entire TV5 Title saga was masterful and it would be my favorite part of the show had the main event not happened. Jeff Jarrett never rightfully lost the title and is out for revenge. Billy Travis is painted as this crying, whining jerk that you just want to punch in the face and HE wants his title back. And Bill Dundee is caught in the middle. There are so many ways this could go and I'm excited about the future of the title. That is the most important thing for me as a fan - get me emotionally attached to the titles and characters. I can't wait for Jarrett to come back and get his hands on both Travis and Dundee.

The main event was AWESOME. You packed a lot of shit into a five minute match. Is this a full blown Austin Idol heel turn or is this just something personal between him and Jerry Lawler? Either way, Eddie Gilbert's character here is fantastic and I loved his post match interview. Who cares - he's the new KING of MEMPHIS! Great stuff.

Now Jerry Lawler is going into the Coliseum as the challenger, not the champion and that has to screw with him mentally. Gilbert will do whatever it takes to keep his title and I'm sure Idol won't be far behind. I am absolutely hooked for Monday.

I can't say it enough that I think you are doing an incredible job here so far. The way you present your characters and craft these crazy mult-layered feuds works so well.

I really like how all of the title changes went down on today's show. If I was a fan in Memphis I would be hooked on going to every show because you never know what's going to happen.

Great opening from Candido and I love the interaction from Rumble and Candido in the interview. I wonder who Wolfie D will bring in to counter Ware/Candido. Lawler is what Memphis wrestling revolves around. Gilbert and Idol are just allowed to be there. Good win by Dundee, although I was a bit surprised.
